A decision to change a lifetime

Everyone has that one decision, that one moment in their lives that they think back to from time to time and wonder what could have been if they had made a different choice a different decision. A point in time they wish they could go back to. After saving a stranger, Laila has been offered a chance to do just that. Laila has nothing she could want from an outsiders perspective. She lives in a big mansion, with a handsome husband and two beautiful children but in reality her life is far from perfect and she couldn't remember the last time she was truly happy. So, if she was offered a chance to change that, shouldn't she take it? How crazy and unbelievable that chance might seem? This story is indeed in a way a rebirth story but it isn't your typical rebirth story. It is one where the second male lead actually gets the girl. So, if you have ever screamed at your screen over yet another female lead picking the horrible first male lead over the second just because he has realized the error of his ways and therefore all he has done in the past should be forgiven and forgotten, well then search no farther as this is the story for you! Join me in the first week of May as we start this story of how a single decision can determine a lifetime or change it! Until then, feel free to look at my just completed novel A devil's match :D

True path to happiness

Laila felt tears welling up behind her eyes. She was so touched to see what Noah had done for her and how he had chosen to express his feelings towards her. She couldn't believe that if only she had made her current choice before, she would have been saved so much worries and heartache. She would have been able to experience a love life with Noah instead of waking up in the middle of it. Even if she would be able to spend the rest of her life with Noah in this timeline, she still would have missed out on ten years of wonderful moments together.

Laila heard a voice calling out to her from a distance, so she quickly wiped away the single tear that had fallen from the corner of her eye and put on a smile as she turned around to see who was looking for her. It turned out to be Giselle. With a bright smile on her face she walked up to Laila and said, "Sorry to disturb you madam, but I wanted to let you know that Gabriella and I talked to the other staff members and if you were still interested in getting to know them, they would love to tell you more about themselves."

Laila clasped her hands together in joy and said, "Oh that is wonderful news! I would love to hear whatever they are willing to tell me. How about we use tomorrow's lunch to gather everyone and share a meal together as we talk?" With a wink Laila added, "After all, food always taste best in company!" Though it seemed impossible, Giselle's smile brightened even more after hearing Laila's words. A high squeal left her body as she said, "That sounds great! I will inform them right away!" Without another breath or word, Giselle turned around in a high speed pace, she headed back to the mansion in order to inform her colleagues and friends of the good news.

Laila chuckled as she watched the young woman walk away and her behaviour reminded her strongly of a bunny rabbit. Soft, gentle, high energy and as cute as can be. She felt that this day had gone from confusing to shocking and was slowly turning from great into greater. What she didn't deem possible was now beginning to look like the best decision she had ever made. It was also now that she realized that the feelings she had for Jake was never real love. It was her clinging onto a delusion, a fairy tale in her mind. In all the years she had been with Jake, she hadn't felt as loved as she had felt in this single day with Noah and she wasn't sure if she had ever shown Jake this level of pure love and affection either. Maybe this proved that they had indeed never been destined to be together and her choosing Jake back then, had been her drifting from her true destiny and true path to happiness.

Laila continued her stroll through the garden and gently touched each and every flower that had been planted there for her. Slowly she made her way back to the house and she went back inside feeling all warm, which wasn't just because of the lovely weather they were having but had more to do with the wonderful man who was working hard upstairs. Without much thought and solely driven by what she was feeling inside and her instincts, her body moved from the dining area to the living room and headed up the stairs. She looked for the room that had resembled an office and carefully opened the door to peek inside. There she saw Noah typing away on his laptop and looking over some papers. She walked up behind him and put her arms around her neck as she planted a kiss on his cheek.

Noah said, "Hmm, and what did I do to earn that? It is a bit late to be the results of the kiss I gave you earlier. Or are you telling me that wasn't enough and you are looking for a second one?" Laila chuckled as she said, "Thank you for the offer but you have done more than enough. In the kissing department and any other department for that matter." Noah wasn't complaining but he wasn't sure what he had done to deserve this sudden wave of affection from his loving wife. He placed his hand on the thin arm that was surrounding his neck and gently stroked Laila's skin with his thumb as he said, "Well whatever it is I did, I am glad I did it and if you tell me, I will make sure to do it again." Laila let out another chuckle as she said, "This is something you did a long time ago and that I will love you for, for a long time to come."

Now it was Noah letting out a chuckle as he said, "Fine. Keep your secrets then. Your riddles won't get me down. You women will always be a mystery to us men and no matter how long I know you, you shall probably remain one till the day I die and I think I am okay with that. It gives me the pleasure of receiving such surprises and those I will always welcome with open arms." Laila gave Noah a slight squeeze and another light kiss on the cheek before she let go in an attempt to let Noah continue his work. This was however not what Noah had in mind!

Here we are with the final chapter from last week that I owed you guys. I hope you will enjoy and I am sorry if my publishing schedule is sometimes a bit unpredictable. I do my best to stick to the days that I have promised but as you all probably well know, life can get a bit busy and hectic sometimes. So, we have to take things as they come.

For today I wish to thank Almaalicia2707 for gifting yesterday's chapter of ADCL a powerstone. Thank you so much for the support and welcome to the story :) I am not sure if you were there from the start but I always love seeing who reads my stories :D
