A decision to change a lifetime

Everyone has that one decision, that one moment in their lives that they think back to from time to time and wonder what could have been if they had made a different choice a different decision. A point in time they wish they could go back to. After saving a stranger, Laila has been offered a chance to do just that. Laila has nothing she could want from an outsiders perspective. She lives in a big mansion, with a handsome husband and two beautiful children but in reality her life is far from perfect and she couldn't remember the last time she was truly happy. So, if she was offered a chance to change that, shouldn't she take it? How crazy and unbelievable that chance might seem? This story is indeed in a way a rebirth story but it isn't your typical rebirth story. It is one where the second male lead actually gets the girl. So, if you have ever screamed at your screen over yet another female lead picking the horrible first male lead over the second just because he has realized the error of his ways and therefore all he has done in the past should be forgiven and forgotten, well then search no farther as this is the story for you! Join me in the first week of May as we start this story of how a single decision can determine a lifetime or change it! Until then, feel free to look at my just completed novel A devil's match :D

Light a Match

Laila had just complimented Noah with his choice of housing for their trip for two but it became clear very soon that Noah had taken her actions to mean something much more than what she had intended.

With a flirtatious look in his eyes Noah replied, "Ooh? I was told this place was perfect for a romantic getaway but I didn't think the festivities would start so early. However I am not one to complain when a good thing comes my way." Laila's eyes grew wide as she could already feel where this was going. She tried to stop him and explain that she wasn't trying to seduce him but she couldn't even get through a single word before she found her lips effectively sealed by Noah's

As Laila tried to mumble another "Wai-", Noah's hands had already slipped under her shirt to try and unhook her bra. Just before he succeeded in unclasping the hook, Laila made her third attempt to calm the fire in her husband's excited body. The third time seemed to be the charm. As she gently pushed against Noah's chest, their lips unlocked and Noah looked at her with questioning eyes. Laila turned her face away to let out the laugh she had been holding, while her hand was still on Noah's chest, holding him a safe distance away.

After a few seconds she straightened her body again and looked Noah in the eyes to explain why she had stopped him, which felt like she was explaining to a puppy why he couldn't jump. Now that he was finally he was able to hear her words, Laila told him, while the occasional chuckle escaped her, "I know you are excited but even for you that was a very strong response to a very innocent comment. I was just giving a compliment. I didn't mean for you to take my clothes off and take me to the bed." Noah shrugged his shoulders and as he pulled her back in and looked deep into her eyes he said, "I just saw an opportunity and I took it. Can't blame a guy for trying, right? I have a lot of passion and you are one of the things I am passionate about."

Again Laila chuckled. Unswayed by his crafty words she said, "Well passion is one way to call it. I think that if I had given you another second or two, you would have had me on the bed. I know that 'passion' of yours is boundless and I am sure I will be seeing plenty of it during our stay, but try to keep it in a bit on the first day okay? We just got here, no need to rush. We just had a long drive, we still got some unpacking to do and we have got to figure our dinner situation out, unless you want to eat some ice cubes on a stick."

Though Noah was still a bit hesitant and unwilling to let go, he knew she was right and he also knew that there would be plenty of chances for them to finish what he had tried to start. So, a bit reluctantly he loosened his grip and Laila let out another chuckle as she watched him give into his defeat. But although Noah knew she was right, although he knew he had lost this round, he didn't want to give her that satisfaction so easily. So, just before Laila could turn around and walk away, he grabbed her wrist and turned her back around in one quick move.

Without a second of doubt or a moment for Laila to process what was going on, Noah covered Laila's lips with his own once more and gave her a fiery kiss that would steal her breath away. He filled that kiss with all the passion that was built up in the moment before and gave Laila no way to escape. He made sure she knew what she did to him just by existing and also make her regret that smugness on her face and those taunting eyes. The eyes that were flirting, teasing and mocking him in a way only she could. A way that felt loving regardless of what words they were accompanied by but could drive him insane as well. It gave him a strong urge to reveal the emotions behind them and see the look he prayed she only showed him.

After their lips finally unlocked Laila's lipstick had been mostly rubbed off and were now spread and divided over Noah's lips and her own. With a panting breath and glazed look in her eyes Laila stared at Noah, who was still holding her in his arms, only this time he was the one smiling with a feeling of accomplishment. When she had mustered up the breath for it, she asked him "What was that all about? Did I manage to light up another match without knowing it." Noah's smile remained unchanged as he replied, "Well, you only said something about taking your clothes off and taking you to the bed. You never said I couldn't find another way to show you my 'appreciation' for that lovely compliment." While barely able to keep his smirk inside he asked, "How did you like my thank you? I made sure I did neither of those things you said we had no time for."

Laila narrowed her eyes and hit Noah on his chest before making him let go of her. In a tone that showed she wasn't done yet, she said, "I liked it very much and I will be sure to remember this 'thank you' the next time it is my turn to show my 'appreciation'." After that she walked out of the room and a chuckling Noah was left to unpack the bags for him and his loving princess.
