His cheating ways

Where Laila was trying to prove his cheating ways, Jake thought that he had a chance at getting back together with her. He hoped that she was acting on a feeling of jealousy and might still be interested in him in some way. So, he quickly tried to spin the story in the most positive way. "No, no. Well, yes. But not like that. It was Savannah's birthday yesterday and we came here to celebrate. It got quite late and we had both had some drinks, so we decided to stay here for the night."

Though Laila knew the truth, she played along and said, "Oh I see. Well Savannah is lucky to have such a wonderful colleague like you." After saying this she turned to face Savannah as she said, "You must be glad to have a colleague like Jake. Someone who is willing to celebrate your birthday in such a lavish way and even pay for you to spend the night so that you don't have to cut the night short or hold back on your drinking."

The girl was clearly far less experienced in lying than Jake or maybe she was still affected by her harsh reality check because all she could do was awkwardly laugh as she looked down and pushed her hair behind her ear. "Yeah, he has been great."

Laila felt that she had gotten enough satisfaction and information out of this, so she wrapped the conversation up. She said, "Well, I should let you two be on your way. It was nice to see you here and it was nice meeting you Savannah." Laila looked at her watch before she said, "And I should really be getting back to Maria. She must be getting worried by now. I only stepped out to go to the bathroom but ended up talking to you two, forgetting all about her." With a chuckle she added, "The struggles of being a pregnant lady I guess. This rascal is treating my bladder like a trampoline and my mind has turned into a sieve."

Though she hadn't reached that stage of pregnancy yet, it was a good excuse and she was certain that the two of them had been far too surprised by this sudden encounter to be questioning if she was speaking the truth." With a big smile she said, "Enjoy the rest of your day." Then she turned to Savannah once more in an attempt to seem genuine and to make sure neither of them suspected anything as she said, "Savannah, I wish you a happy belated birthday. I hope Jake gave you a wonderful day and that you enjoyed your celebration here." Before she waved the two of them goodbye and headed to the ladies room to add some truth to her lie.

All the while Maria was watching and filming all that was going down and she loved every minute of it. She didn't think that Laila had this in her but she was happily surprised. With this they had all that they needed and more. As Jake had not only been caught with a mistress, he had also shown that he was clearly not over his ex Laila yet. He had declared her 'the one that got away' after pretending that he was only looking for a trip down memory lane when they ran into each other before. This revelation was sure to add to the problems they were about to cause and Maria was looking forward to it already.

After Jake and Savannah left the hotel, Laila and Maria soon followed. Though the breakfast buffet was calling them for a second run, they were short on time as it was. They had to look at the footage they had gotten and put them together. They had to cut out the necessary audio parts from the audio-recording. And, they needed to bring it all together to make their evidence for Jake's affair rock solid. After that they would need to think out the rest of their plan as the girl's trip was nearing its end and there was no way that Laila was willing to miss the grand moment that would give her justice!

Meanwhile Noah was busy planning something of his own, which would make Jake's life as he knew it crumble even further. Noah was making sure Jake would never come near Laila again or cause trouble between him and his wife. That it would punish Jake for his cheating ways, was simply an added bonus!
