A decision to change a lifetime

Everyone has that one decision, that one moment in their lives that they think back to from time to time and wonder what could have been if they had made a different choice a different decision. A point in time they wish they could go back to. After saving a stranger, Laila has been offered a chance to do just that. Laila has nothing she could want from an outsiders perspective. She lives in a big mansion, with a handsome husband and two beautiful children but in reality her life is far from perfect and she couldn't remember the last time she was truly happy. So, if she was offered a chance to change that, shouldn't she take it? How crazy and unbelievable that chance might seem? This story is indeed in a way a rebirth story but it isn't your typical rebirth story. It is one where the second male lead actually gets the girl. So, if you have ever screamed at your screen over yet another female lead picking the horrible first male lead over the second just because he has realized the error of his ways and therefore all he has done in the past should be forgiven and forgotten, well then search no farther as this is the story for you! Join me in the first week of May as we start this story of how a single decision can determine a lifetime or change it! Until then, feel free to look at my just completed novel A devil's match :D

A touch of style

After opening the door, Noah's eyes grew wide as he looked Laila up and down before he said, "You look absolutely stunning dear!" Though Laila was wearing a long coat over her dress, it appeared that what was visible, had shown him enough to know how she would look once the full look was revealed. He grabbed the basket and shopper from Laila before he leaned in for a small kiss, which Laila happily gave him. He said "Come in, come in!" in a cheerful voice. But it appeared that Noah's excitement hadn't just reached Laila but his voice was heard by the hard-working people at the workstations as well. Hearing the words 'Dear' and a cheerful 'Come in' caused all of them to turn around in silence to see the person who had caused their boss's good mood all day. This silence was so abrupt and deafening, compared to the lively sounds from before, that it was hard to go unnoticed by Laila. So, while still standing in the door-opening, she slowly turned around and saw that all eyes were pointed in their direction.

Though they immediately turned back to their work when she turned around, at that moment, Laila felt very happy to have worn a coat over her dress. Though she had wanted to stand on a stage when she was younger, being the centre of attention like this, wasn't something she particularly enjoyed. Especially not in a setting like this. It made her feel awkward. So, while Noah was walking to his desk to place the food down, she closed the door behind them.

Once the food was placed down, Noah turned back to Laila and had his arms wrapped around her waist before she had a chance to turn back around. While smiling from ear to ear, his face pressed against hers and in a voice that was clearly happy that she had dressed up for him like that, he said, "As if just your company wasn't enough, you come in looking like that. I was right to look forward to this dinner." His words sounded like a person who says "Oh, you shouldn't have", while frantically unwrapping the gift you brought them for an occasion they were hoping to receive a gift for. Laila let out a chuckle before turning around in his arms and asking innocently, "Why? You don't like it? I can change..."

Noah cupped her face as he said, "Don't even think about it. You have worn this outfit for me and I will enjoy every second of it. I was just expressing how lucky I am. Not voicing any complaints." After that he placed another kiss on her lips and this time he kept their lips locked a bit longer before calming himself down again as he was reminded that he was in the office and they had met up to have dinner. Though at the moment, nothing that was in the containers on his desk could be as tempting as the creature that was in his arms. Laila let out another chuckle as she imagined what Noah was thinking and felt a bit sorry for what she was about to put him through once she took off her coat. Despite knowing that she was only here to give him bad news. Or at least tell him something that he would consider bad news, while he was assuming that it was nothing more than a selfless and kind gesture from this loving wife, she was enjoying this date very much so far.

When Noah let go of her for a second time, he let out a sigh before offering to help Laila with her coat. When he saw what was hidden underneath the coat, his desire to drag Laila behind the bookcase inside his office, where his office-bed was hidden, resurfaced in full force. Laila, who was completely unaware of the severity of what she was putting her husband through, was with her thoughts elsewhere. The design of Noah's office. Only now was she able to get a good look at the room she was standing in and her eyes grew wide from what she saw. Again Laila was deeply impressed. Not just by the sheer size of the office but also by the beautiful details and decorations. She couldn't believe that Mr. One T-shirt in All Colours had managed to decorate his office so elegantly. In fact, if she was asked to design an office for him, this would have been exactly how she would have decorated it. From the materials, to the colours and the placement of everything, she wouldn't change a single

Though most people would assume that he had indeed hired an interior decorator and that all the offices were equally stunning, as it was decorated by the same person, Laila was positive that this wasn't the case here. His office contained too many personal touches for that to be true. It was like this office was customized to his preferences with an added touch of style. If it had been an interior decorator that had designed all the spaces in the company, she would have seen elements of the materials and styles that she saw outside in the main spaces, in his office as well. Of course there was the possibility of each of them sitting down with the decorator and getting something customized or just the higherups, but this too seemed unlikely based on what Laila saw in the peeks and glances in the other offices on this floor.

After Noah had calmed himself down for the second time, during the date that had just started, he noticed Laila looking around. With a gentle smile he snuck up behind her and put his hands around Laila's waist once more. Laila chuckled as she covered his arms with her own. With his wife snuggled up in his arms, Noah asked her "Are you admiring your own handiwork?"
