Marga's P.O.V

"How do you feel?"

She gave me a frown as she looked at me.

"I'm all right now." I just replied with a smile to show that I'm fine.

"Did you take your medication?"

"Yes, indeed. I drank it after we finished our breakfast." I responded, and she nodded. "Are you sure you're taking the day off today?" ensuring that I question her.

She had told me earlier that he would not be coming in right now.

It's embarrassing because she might be absent from work solely because of me, though she can leave me here at her house first and Klark can pick me up here later this afternoon.

"True. Don't be concerned. I can continue to work from home. Even if I don't enter my office, I can still bring my work here." She responded with a smile.

Then we proceeded to the terrace, which was surrounded by beautiful orchids, flowers, and a variety of plants.

"You're such a slacker." I simply replied and then poured tea into the cup.

She's uncomplicated yet sophisticated. Her movements are subtle, but when she speaks, they appear contradictory. She appears to be disciplined in her movement, but from the way she speaks, she is good at joking.

Just positive vibes. She's a good talker, though.

"What do you do?" I inquired as to if we had something to discuss.

"I'm a lawyer by the way."

"Oh..."

Her work immediately impressed me.

Are you serious? Not to mention that she lacks the demeanor of a lawyer. Most lawyers appear to be serious.

She appears to be a businesswoman or something.

"Yes. It's just that it's not obvious." She burst out laughing at the same time. I laughed.

"You're in a good place in life, huh?" I just responded.

She gave a nod. "Yes, but it's also exhausting. I have a lot of cases to take, and I often do the office for my son at home. I don't want to leave him at all. Besides, when I'm alone in the office, I'm even lazier to work. My husband is a sailor, so you only see the two of us here with Jericho at home; he's on the ship right now "She let out a sigh.

"I see," I just said.

"So you don't find it difficult to care for your child on your own?" I inquired, intrigued.

She gave me a nod. "I have to work and do housework at the same time. I don't like missing out on time with my son, and I know he misses his father, so as long as I'm close to him, I'll always make time for the two of us. It's just that it's nearby and close to him. That's fine with me as long as I have a phone nearby; that's how I deal with my clients." she went on to explain.

"You're really such a slacker."

"But, you know, I miss my husband. We had to put up with text messages, phone calls, and video calls. There's always an uh... you know at work, but he comes home once a year, so it's fine. That's just not the case when it comes to my husband. I've been missing my husband for a long time. " she laughed at the same time.

I rolled my eyes as she said it.

She quickly recovered from her laughter and resumed speaking.

"And, by the way, can we please refrain from being too formal? Simply call me Jenica. I don't like you to call me Mrs. Lopez; I feel like I'm too much of a sign that when you call me too respectful, "She smirked and sipped her tea.

What was said made me smile and chuckled.

"Of course, and call me Marga." That is what I just said.

"Marga, you may proceed. It depends on how you look at it, but what a lovely name." and she laughed.

In response, I simply smiled.

"To your husband, I'll just call him Architect Villaverde because that's what I'm used to." she shrugged abruptly.

"Besides, I'm not sure I'm used to calling him by name.'

"You know... their family, I must say, they are very rich and well educated, high standard, a family of Architects and Engineers, I admired their way of life, and your husband is one of the most famous Architects, so he deserved a commendation "She burst out laughing at the same time.

I agree to that. Even I still can't believe he's my husband.

Many admire what Klark has built.

And it can be said that she holds a big name. I smiled at what Jenica said.

"How about you? What's your career? What kind of work do you have?" he inquired.

"I'm a Finance Adviser at a company ... before." I gradually lost my smile.

Her lips formed to 'o' "So you're good in Math, huh?" she laughed at the same time. "You know, I hate numbers. It's a headache. But money is good for the eyes."

She's right. My job is a real pain in the neck. But I still make it. Even though I enjoy math, those who consult my papers stress me out.

Others who are inevitably cheated when it comes to money, have a conspiracy, and that is the type of act that someone who is secretly planning to do something harmful or illegal in the company, those are illegal gambling.

That's why we examine it, let others investigate and we talk about it all for good. My job was also hard but I also learned later in the few years I had that job.

"But, do you still work?" she suddenly asked.

"I worked them in five years but when I get married, I-I decided to resign ... a-and focus on my family." I bit my lower lip once I just shrugged.

"Oh, happily married." she chuckled.

She raised an eyebrow. "I hope I can resign too, but as many take me. And I can't help but work, for Jericho's future we have to give him what he needs. Besides, my husband is always away."

I just nodded once I sighed.

"You know, when I see you whole family, I can't help but be jealous because I'm not with my husband. And I also can't help but be worried when I see my son eager even if he's not with his father it's okay for him to see him on screen to call. " At once she sighed.

She smiled weakly.

"Jenica, at least you're still a whole family."

I just replied.

I just nodded once I sighed.

"But, why did you resign if you can still continue?" she asked curiously.

I don't know what to say. I can't say I'm lazy to work even though I really want to work again but I can't do anything, that's what Klark wants, he doesn't want me to lose time with his children.

Besides, he didn't want me to have fun at work and that's why he said he would work for us even though he said he could provide for our needs.

There's just one more thing he can't give.

His heart.

Okay. I know. It's so cringey to thinks about that but that's… true. Argh.

"Don't—" I swallowed and cleared my throat. "I mean, I just don't want to; I want to relax first and concentrate on t-the family."

What I have to say is a little slick. I wish I had more to say, but I'm too stunned to speak.

Besides, Jenica is going through something similar, she explained. And I have no idea how Jenica feels when she sees Klark and me with her son.

I took a deep breath and swallowed hard.

'If only you knew Jenica. Even if you are not with your husband, I am more envious of you. '

I mean, I simply did not say anything. I couldn't help feeling envious of Jenica. She is not only married, but she also has a child of her own.

That is true of the real family. Even if you are in a long-distance relationship with your husband, you can assert that he is your husband and that he is faithful to you.

I'm not saying Klark is unfaithful, but what if?

What if he changes his mind? What will become of me? How long can we keep pretending?

I, too... I aspire to be like Jenica. Those who have children. Yes, it's as if I already have a child; Rius and Zeus are my children, but it's different when it comes from my womb.

I love them as well, but when it's your 'child,' the love you can give is different. I didn't expect Klark to be my child's father, but for how long?

I can't imagine loving someone else if we hadn't ended up together. I still don't know who my child's father will be. I'm not sure if I intend to remarry — to another man. I let out a sigh.

This is extremely difficult.

"Anyway, it's still critical to prioritize the family. So, how are you and Architect Villaverde doing?" When Jenica abruptly spoke, I snapped back to reality.

I simply shrugged.

"Oh, we're fine," at once I sigh deeply.

"Wait, what?" At the same time, his eyes narrowed and his brow furrowed at me, as I had no idea I could be tired from sleeping and my voice was out of control.

"Is that correct? However, your face conveys the impression that you owe a large sum of money that you are unable to pay." she was joking at the same time.

Jenica's joke made me laugh.

"Oh uhm.. we're perfectly fine."

Even though I can't look Jenica in the eyes, I return my gaze to the table.

It appears that she is weighing her gaze at me.

It's perfectly fine. Klark's transactions are fine. He does not torment me. The same is true for children; exercise caution as well.

He is dependable when it comes to cooking, he knows how to cook, and he is delicious. I mean, the food I'm talking about is delicious.

That's all; Klea is completely correct; she has no idea how to clean the house.

I understood, and he was preoccupied with his work. I'm the one who should be doing it; after all, I'm his wife.

I am the lady. It is natural for a man to be lazy when it comes to housework. Because we're doing so well, I'm even more perplexed about how I feel.

He doesn't cause me any major problems, but I get a headache from the movements he shows me, and I also think a lot about the two of us being together. Malice is a frequent occurrence for me.

And he was completely unaware of it.

"Uhm, I thought I heard... he was married the first time? Were you aware of this? " she inquired, perplexed.

She questioned her gaze when I looked at her.

"Please accept my apologies. But never mind." She averted her gaze and chuckled nervously.

She drank her tea simultaneously.

I gave her a small smile as I shook my head. "No, it does not. It's all right. I understand, and it's fine with me."

I responded to his inquiry. Because I sincerely hope that some people will notice.

"Is that so... hehe?" it questioned as if repenting for what she had said.

I gave her a friendly smile. She nodded slowly. She smiled apologetically as if she knew what was on my mind.

"Marga, you know... Don't be afraid to tell me if you need someone to talk to."

"I appreciate it." In response, I smile. "We're fine. It's all right." I let out a snort.

I bowed in response to what he said. I can't tell you how badly I want someone to tell me how I feel about my relationship with Klark.

But I was hesitant to say anything because Jenica and I had only recently met. I'm not sure when Mama will call and greet me.

Even when I'm feeling inadequate and sorry for myself, my response is always 'okay.'

I can't say anything, and I'll be even more worried if Dad finds out.

I still don't want to be irritated. And maybe he'll follow through on his threat to Klark.

"Am I correct in assuming you two have a problem?" she inquired, surprised.

There was a brief moment of silence before she spoke again.

"Don't worry, I'm not going to make you share your problems. But I hope you consider me more than just a neighbor." She smiled at the same time.

"I-don't know if I tell you about these, Jenica." I doubt the answer.

She smiled at me and took my hand and squeezed it.

"You can trust me, okay?" I still can't tell her a story.

"Besides you can be my friend. You're still my neighbor. I think you forgot I'm a lawyer, Marga. If you're justified, fight back!" She laughed at the same time.

I couldn't help but be infected by her laughter. She really lightens up the atmosphere.

'How can I fight him if he doesn't love me, eh?'

Argh. What's this. Am I crazy? Why am I thinking this thing, seriously?

"Okay." I immediately sneezed and looked at her.

Shall I say to her? Though it seems really embarrassing! But it's okay, Jenica and I are the only two here. Besides, she said, I can trust her.

That's why I decided to tell him how Klark and I were doing.

She drank some tea and then looked at me and waited for me to speak.

"D-Did you ..." I took a deep breath.

She raises an eyebrow and looks eager for the story I will tell. I'll take a look first.

"Before I tell you the truth, promise me you won't tell anyone about this, okay?"

Assurance then narrowed my eyes at her.

She rolled his eyes but immediately recovered.

"Of course, Marga! Of course. I promise." She still swears.

"A-And promise me, d-don't make fun of me."

"Nothing funny." At the same time, she had a serious face.

Why am I still laughing? The speed will change of Jenica's expression. I heavily sighed.

"Okay. Did you know ..."
