I Can't Breath

Marga's P.O.V

"Klark, y-you've arrived," I say.

I was taken aback and immediately stood up, my hand still on my chest.

"Uh... yeah. I finished my work ahead of schedule." He stated.

"Oh," I said, nodding.

Along with the strength of my heartbeat, I swallowed and sighed deeply.

I didn't realize he came home so early; I assumed he'd work early in the morning or overtime in his office.

He said this somewhat shyly as he removed his knotted tie from his dress shirt and placed the drawing tube and attaché case on the table.

I took a step towards the door, feeling some relief as I saw him, one by one, remove the button of his white long sleeve, his face arched upwards, stretching his neck, and sighed deeply.

He appears to be getting dressed, but he still appears tired. His adams apple shifted slightly, locking my gaze on me. I immediately averted my gaze from him.

"It's all right. Uhm... I-I'm almost finished."

I was about to walk away when he spoke again, so I came to a halt.

I'm still not used to it when it's just the two of us in the same room. It's almost as if she didn't even wait for me to leave, especially now that she's getting dressed and taking off her top while I'm here.

Maybe it's because he's my husband again, but what's the point of him being embarrassed in front of me? I have several reasons for this. Because I only give malice to his every move, I keep myself from thinking dirty.

"I'm guessing you were cleaning earlier in the morning, am I right?" he said as he removed his polo shirt.

"Uh... yeah," I replied. My lower lip was bitten.

It was as if I were nailed to the stand as if seeing his body would make me even more exhausted.

He gave me a sidelong glance before entering his walk-in closet, and I immediately looked down.

"Aren't you exhausted? Your body may be taken aback by this, and I know you're exhausted. I hope you just waited for Eva to come back and do some general cleaning."

When I looked up, he was now wearing a white t-shirt and gray shorts. He's already in his shirt, thank God.

He emerged from his walk-in closet.

"I was bored and couldn't find anything to do at home, so I just cleaned." I went on to explain.

He simply nodded.

"We're going somewhere this weekend." He stated. "I hope you enjoy it as much as I do."

"Where are we going?" I was curious.

"We had planned to visit an amusement park. It appeals to Rius and Zeus."

"O-Oh, uhm.. sure. I think I'll enjoy it as well." I then nodded. "Okay, I'll go ahead and do it. Oh, and if you're hungry, I've got a snack for you. Okay, you eat?" Once, she said goodbye and turned to leave the room.

"Thank you," I heard him say.

As soon as I left Klark's room, I went straight to my room.

I couldn't bear the thought of cleaning my body any longer, so I sat down on the bed and caressed my chest.

"Oh my God... I can't breathe..." I couldn't breathe properly because I was whispering to myself.

As time passes, I find myself wanting and gasping for air. So I doubled my pillow and massaged my chest to relieve the tightness.

The cold on my brow causes me to sweat as well. Perhaps Klark was right, and my body was shocked by the thorough cleaning of the entire house. I had no idea it was so exhausting.

I was in this position when I heard the door open and Zeus approached and sat next to me.

"Hi, Auntiemama! Let's have some fun!" I couldn't respond to the sudden scratching and grabbed my hand.

"Z-Zeus..."

"Auntiemama, are you tired? Why are you perspiring?" At the same time, he placed his finger on my brow.

"T-Tired, Auntiemama is tired, " I weakly said.

Despite the fact that I was having difficulty breathing.

"Really? Do you want me to tell Papa?"

I made a shaky motion with my head. "No, you shouldn't—"

Even though I couldn't respond properly, he jumped out of bed and ran to the other room, where I could hear Zeus knocking and shouting.

"Papa! Papa! Papa!" A series of calls and knocks were heard.

I would have stood up, but I couldn't because my legs were trembling. Oh my goodness.

"Why are you yelling, kiddo? What exactly is going on?" As Klark opened the door, I heard him respond to the boy.

After a while, Zeus dragged Klark into my room, and when he saw that I was fine, he approached at me, immediately.

I would have stood up, but I was unable to move properly due to my heart disease.

"Titamama is tired," said the child.

While adjusting my breathing, I, on the other hand, continued to caress my own chest.

"Marga? What's wrong with you? Are you okay?" and he came over to me right away. He looks… concern.

His voice was sounded concerned too, especially when he touched my face. Ah… that's so warmth. So good.

"I-I'm just tired," I explained, but my breathing and speech seemed to worsen.

"You're so obstinate. I warned you not to pull yourself. Damn it." He sat on the side, annoyed, and I could see the concern on his face.

"A-Ah--"

"Come on, I'll drive you to the hospital." He stood up and moved in closer so I could be lifted.

"There is no need. Don't freak out. I'm still capable of doing it."

I responded, despite feeling a little tired.

He muttered a curse and yanked at his own hair.

"What happened to Auntiemama, Papa?" The child's curiosity

Zeus was staring at us and sitting on the side of the bed, terrified.

"Your mom isn't feeling well. Go to Rius and request my car key. We're on our way to the hospital "Klark gave the order to Zeus, who immediately nodded and ran to his big brother.

"Marga, I'm going to lift you and take you to the hospital because you appear weak. You are unable to breathe properly "He was adamant.

"No, it's fine-"

"No way! You must be taken immediately. Something is wrong with you. You appear pale."

I was taken aback by the volume of his voice, and he immediately lifted me; I would have stopped, but I couldn't; he lifted me like a bride, and his hand was tight to do so.

"How about Zeus?" "W-who's going to keep an eye on t-them?" as I tenderly caress my own chest

He frowned as he observed what I was doing. He does not appear to like what he sees.

"We'll bring them along."

And I dashed downstairs to get in the car and hurry with the kids.

Klark dropped me off at Ramos Medical Center. He took Rius and Zeus with him, as stated. They also appear perplexed because all three are already asleep.

"Your wife has an allergy, Mr. Villaverde," the Doctor said after examining me. "She had an asthma attack a few days ago."

"Are you suffering from asthma?" Klark inquired, turning to face me and biting his lower lip.

I bit my lower lip because he had no idea I had asthma and would definitely know why if he found out.

True. Cats cause severe allergic reactions in me.

"Sir, yes. Do you have a pet that might be the reason she was attacked earlier? "enquired the Doctor

"Y-Yes. There is a cat in the house. She wasn't attacked by the cat, as far as I recall, because it had been a few days in our house. Not because of exhaustion, doc?"

The doctor let out a small sigh.

"Mr. Villaverde, the animal is dangerous to her because it's possible that your cat caused her asthma. It's fine for her to get tired if it's from exercise or light activities that allow her to breathe properly; just don't overdo it, as this could be the cause of her condition worsening. Her heart is very fragile; she can't be emotional, which is also bad for her. So, for the time being, if you want her to come home, there should be nothing you need to do to care for your cat and its feathers." The Doctor's explanation

When I remembered that I had touched the cat despite knowing it was forbidden, I felt guilty.

It's been a long time since I've had another asthma attack, and I can't imagine getting one again; I thought it was going away.

"D-does it means..." I could hear him protesting there.

"Doc, does the cat really need to get out of the house?"

I bit the inside of my lower lip.

Klark looked stunned when he learned that cats are not permitted in my home.

Cats are not permitted in the home. Oh, come on. Will I be kicked out? He adores the cat more than I do.

The Doctor gave a nod.

"Exactly, Mr. Villaverde. Of course, sorry to say that it's for the better and she won't be attacked by her allergies again."

When I refused, he turned to me, followed by the Doctor, and said, "N-No Klark..."

Children will be disappointed when they learn that cats are not permitted in the home.

"Are you certain, Doc, that I'm having trouble breathing because of the cat?" I'm double-checking, even though I know there's a good chance my asthma attack was caused by the cat.

The Doctor immediately nodded, holding his own thick glass.

"Yes, Mrs. Villaverde. As a result, any traces of cat hair should vanish from your home. If you don't have your cat anymore to avoid being attacked, again and again, it will be especially harmful to your health."

I can't breathe properly anymore, but I still get a rush when Mrs. Doctor calls. Villaverde is the name of a town in Spain.

Because my colleagues were serious, I was immediately stopped.

I immediately turned to Rius who was sitting next to me and listening, he was looking at me sadly.

My breathing is fine and pretty okay now. The Doctor just injected me and gave me a medicine eventually my heart beating is now okay.

It was obvious on their faces that they didn't want to lose their dear cat and didn't like what the Doctor was saying.

Okay. Can I just leave?

The cat is more important than me. Am I going to pack now? What would Klark say about that?

For sure he might angry with me especially since his beloved cat has to disappear from the house.

"You know you should be the one to vanish instead of my cat, so get out of here." At the same time, he caressed his cat and gave me a stern look.

My nefarious thoughts made me shake my head.

"You know the cat is allergic to you, so you should just leave! Oh, Chupi!" At the same time, he pushed me out the door.

I can only assume he's frowning and I'm nervous. When he's serious, it's even scarier, especially when his thick brows meet.

I felt pity as well, especially when I turned to Zeus. His older brother was wearing the same expression.

Klark was quiet and deep in thought when I looked at him.

Klark was quiet and deep in thought when I looked at him.

"I've been caring for Eili since high school. I've been looking after her for quite some time." After a few moments of silence, he said.

I went because I was embarrassed by what he said. I'm to blame. The cat will vanish from the house as a result of my actions.

I'm truly sorry, Eili. I'm embarrassed for Klark's cat, and he can't see his beloved boss because of me.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Villaverde, but there's nothing we can do for your husband's safety." Doc turned and smiled at me.

"I understand," Klark replied, smiling and nodding to the Doctor.

"P-Papa," Rius said, turning to face his father. "What if Tita Klea stays with Auntiemama while she cleans the house?"

"Why?" enquired Klarks.

"Perhaps she'll have another allergy attack..." He cleared his throat and cast a brief glance at me. " Perhaps Titamama can do something else, "

"No," I say. Klark responded shakily. "You know your Aunt Klea has dogs, and there are other pets in the house. Marga is in greater danger if she stays."

"How about Jericho?" "Can she stay there for the night first?" Rius suggested it once more.

Klark gave me a look. "What do you think?" he inquired.

"Mrs. Lopez and you will spend the night there first. Mrs. Lopez's son, Jerico, is Rius's classmate. I'll just talk to her when we arrive."

"Isn't that humiliating?" I may have to intervene with the landlord.

"How about I just stay at the hotel?" I proposed.

My brows furrowed, and I could see the annoyance on his face. I bit the inside of my lower lip.

"Are you serious? Hotel? Alone?" he immediately shook his head. "Hell, now way." he scowled.

"Simply be present with Mrs. Lopez. It's safer, and you're accompanied. She's our next-door neighbor. Don't worry, she's a nice person."

I wish I could add more to what he said.

Who is that Mrs. Lopez and Klark seems intimate? Are they near each other? Is it the same single parent? Is there anything Klark desires? Oh, no! What exactly is this?

When I thought about it, I felt a little envious. I took a deep breath as I heard Klark bid the Doctor farewell.

"We'll go ahead, Mr. Suarez. Thank you very much." Klark said this while supporting me and holding my elbow, despite the fact that I was fine at the time.

"You and your wife just come back when there's a problem, Mr. Villaverde."

"Mr. Villaverde, you and your wife only return when there's a problem."

"Yes, Doctor. Thank you very much." We said our goodbyes and marched out.

"Let's go, baby," he said, holding my elbow and walking alongside me.

I exclaimed as we walked out of the hospital.

I think a lot, but I'm not used to sleeping with someone I don't know.

It appears that I will be unable to sleep as a result of it.

"What are you thinking?" he asked abruptly, and I turned around.
