Chapter 7 - Revelation

Morning came and they both woke up, Ango far earlier than Talia but he didn't leave the room. He waited for her to give the order but when he told her if he should return to his duties she said with a light smile

"No little pet, you'll attend me for now"

With that said they moved out of the room, she told him to lead the way to the bathhouse. He led the way but stood outside and didn't enter and Talia didn't ask him to. But she told him to wait for her.

'Ah she didn't take me inside, would have been nice but then again the overseer would have killed me'

'But it is a pity, I could have at least seen her naked, I did all that and didn't even get to see her'

'At least what happened last night isn't going to happen again, for now at least, but it did feel kind of nice'

Ango was lost in his thoughts

Nearly two hours later

Talia finally came out with a flushed face and was even more beautiful than she was yesterday. She found a guard in the palace and told her to inform the Lord that they could talk. They went toward the drawing room and after waiting inside for a few minutes, Talia told him to go and fetch her breakfast.

On the way to the kitchen Ango thought about Talia and how she had treated him.

'Hm.. she might be the nicest elf I've ever seen. Is she just nice or is it an act??'

'But what need is there to fake gentleness in front of a slave? She acts like mom in a way'

He was reminded of his mom and consequently that certain night which made his mood worse.

'Mom… I hope that she and dad have calmed down, I'll probably see her today or maybe tomorrow, whenever I'm dismissed'

He mauled over different matters regarding Talia, his life experience wouldn't allow him to trust an elf out of nowhere.

He reached the kitchen and asked for breakfast, but while he was waiting the overseer came in and questioned him about where he had been and why he was still wearing the outfit. Ango explained to him that the guest had not dismissed him last night and had asked him to bring her breakfast.

The overseer nodded and said "I understand, Do whatever she tells you to, I don't need to remind you of the consequences of angering a royal no?". Ango shook his head and said "No master, I understand", the overseer then added "Good, report to me after you are dismissed" and then he left.

A few minutes later, breakfast was ready and Ango took the cart and pushed it towards the drawing room. The guards standing outside of the room knocked and asked for permission to let Ango in and the Lord approved.

Ango pushed the cart inside the room and brought it near the table. The lord and Talia were both seated, it seemed that Folium had just arrived, judging by their conversation which was about the Lord's hospitality. Pat was not in the room, so Ango had to clean the table by himself and then set the table for breakfast.

While he was doing so, Lord Folium who was finished with the pleasantries repeated his question from last night.

"So my lady, what is this important matter that has brought you to us?"

"It is a matter regarding master Solomon and a vision"

"Fate Scribe Solomon? what has he seen?" the countenance of the Lord changed and became Solemn.

'FATE SCRIBE SOLOMON?! I had heard the guards mention him a few times, he was the Oracle of the elves and if I remember right the oldest living elf, over a thousand years old'

"Almost a month ago, master Solomon had a vision-"

"Forgive me my lady, a moment, Slave get out" Folium interrupted her and told Ango.

"As you wi-" before Ango could complete his sentence, Talia interrupted him and said "Leave him be, it also concerns him"

"Him? A human?"

'Me? Why am I in a vision? I mean how am I in it?' Ango was flabbergasted.

"Not him specifically but humans in general"

'That's a relief' he thought when he heard the first half of the sentence but the second half worried him.

"Very well, please continue my Lady" Folium was not worried because even if Ango were to hear something he should not, he could easily eliminate him.

"As I mentioned, it's regarding one of master Solomon's visions, a month ago a vision came to master Solomon" her voice became unusually serious and then continued "of a human, killing armies of different races, slaying their kings and challenging the gods, throwing the world into chaos"

Ango had a stupefied expression on his face similar to Lord Folium But then he burst into laughter

"Hahahahahhahah"

After taking a few seconds to calm down, he said "Please my lady don't joke and tell me what master Solomon saw"

'Oh haha almost lost my shit there, seems lady Talia can even joke' Ango thought; he moved his head a bit but only saw the dead serious face of lady Talia.

Without any change in expression, Talia spoke "I'm afraid what I just said IS what master Solomon saw, he also saw the human male use magic, not just elemental magic but also Pure magic"

"THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE" Folium jumped to his feet and bellowed. He was acting unlike his usual cold and aloof self and it didn't take an observant person to understand that he was unusually anxious. He added without a pause "No one can use pure magic, we can only use the elements we are attuned to, it doesn't even exist around us since it turns into different elemental energies in different environments"

Ango didn't know what to think. He didn't understand the fuss about elemental magic and pure magic since humans couldn't use magic, they couldn't even sense it but he understood the principle of elemental magic but that was not what had him stumped.

The fact that lady Talia was not joking and meant what she said was something that he simply couldn't fathom. A human, killing elves, dwarves, orcs, dragons and all these powerful races? Simply impossible. Not considering magic, the elves who were the weakest of the races physically, were at least twice as strong as humans. Dwarves, orcs, demons, angels, phoenixes, dragons and others were far stronger than humans and that was not even considering the magics they possessed.

'And she says he will kill them all?' Ango knew that these two wouldn't lie about something like this, because there was no point to it, too many cons and too few pros.

"And yet master Solomon saw him employ it" she said and the Lord slumped back to his seat.

Silence, total silence reigned in the room.

It took Lord Folium quite a bit of time to digest this piece of news, it was like someone told him that in the future chairs will sit on people.

After seeing that Folium had calmed down she continued to inform him

"After receiving this vision, master Solomon went into seclusion for two and a half weeks to prepare himself for interfering in this fate, since as you know fate can be tampered with, especially so by master Solomon who is renowned for his expertise in the field but" she paused, squinted her eyes and said with a heavy tone

"But … he failed"

Silence filled the room once more.

I think many of you will think that this vision might crtainly happen and is a kind of foreshadowing but keep in mind that fate can be changed as it is mentioned in this chapter.

"Why Solomon failed then" you might ask. well you'll find out in the future.
