CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

Tyler was more scared than shocked. He had so many questions in his head that only her could answer. He wanted to know how she knew he was here. Made sure he was discrete so that she wouldn't find out but seeing her here brought him chills especially with that smile of hers.

"So, where were we?" Tyler asked trying to avoid eye contact.

"The treaty with the other packs. You were saying that we should stick to it."

"Right, I think it will be best of us to continue with the treaty since the other packs have not brought any trouble we can't solve. I think it would be better for us to sign for this year." Tyler said.

"I don't really think so alpha. I don't really think that would be necessary. What if they try to attack us what we will do? I suggest we don't sign this year?" Elder Ku said. Emily swore she saw smirk.

"Maybe you are right." Tyler said and looked at his documents in front of him.

"No, your alpha says that you will sign the treaty you will sign the treaty. Besides it is the best thing for the pack."

There was silence.

"He is your alpha. what ever he says goes." Emily said with a strict voice.

"But I am next in command to the alpha and I have been here way long than him." Elder Ku said clearly annoyed. How dare she come her and change his command like this.

"Well, that has to change. Then he didn't have a luna so you were in command but now he does and what ever we say goes. Is that clear elder?" she said with a smile that didn't reach her eyes.

Tyler looked at her. There was a smile on his face. one could stand up to Elder Ku; not even him and has done it in her first meeting. He was proud of her.

Oliva also had a smile on his face. Tyler was scared of Elder Ku. He knew it but he didn't want to say anything because after all he is the alpha. because of that fear, they have lost a lot of things and opportunities because Elder Ku says no but after seeing what their luna just did, he has faith that all will be well.

"Yes, my luna." Elder Ku said with a fake smile.

"Any other thing we need to discuss?" Tyler asked looking at them. There was silence. "I that will be all you may all leave."

Everyone left apart of Emily, who was seated, Oliva and Claire who stood behind them.

Tyler read a few documents on his desk. He didn't want to look up. He knew she was looking at him with those eyes saying "I know what you did." and he didn't want to see to at all.

For five minutes, there was silence in the room. No one said anything neither did any of them move. The tension in the room was much and everyone could feel it including Oliva and Claire.

"Claire, Oliva; step out for a moment. I want to talk to my husband." Emily ordered.

Oliva and Claire looked at each other and understood immediately. They both bowed and said, "Yes, my luna." And left the room.
