“Okay, okay. He is, and a good one if the book I’m reading is any indication. He’s also damned sexy when he gets mad.”

“Only when I’m mad?”

Gregg lifted an eyebrow. “Now who says I’m talking about you?”

“Oh.” Spence pretended to be disappointed, even though he knew Gregg had meant him.

“I was.” Gregg reached over to take his hand. “You’re cute and sexy and probably the most interesting man I’ve ever met. Oh God. I didn’t mean to make you blush.”

“I’m not! It’s the curry. It’s so spicy my face is heating up.” Spence nodded emphatically.

“Uh-huh.” Gregg squeezed his hand. “Not sure I’m buying that.”

Spence smirked. “That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.”

“You’re crazy. You know that, I hope. I like this side of you. I haven’t seen much of it.” Gregg sobered. “But then I guess you never had the chance to display it until now. I mean, since I’ve known you.”

“I haven’t,” Spence admitted. “Maybe now I can let it out more.”
