18 Newfound Powers

(April 4, 1128)

Reaching the Demigod Realm is the first step of becoming truly strong. This is a milestone that many cultivators never managed to touch due to their lack of talent. Maybe it's because he's been reincarnated two times or it's because Truth did something to him when he put him into this world but at the moment, that doesn't matter.

Right now, what he should focus on is his cultivation. In 2 to 3 years, he should be able to reach the peak of the Demigod Realm with his current talent. With five Empyrean spiritual roots, anything is possible for him! And not only that, even though they're quite common, the elements in the spiritual roots are incredibly strong.

White Blue is the color in which flame is at its strongest, to the point that it's almost as hot as the sun. If that flame touches a human, that person would be burned to ashes in less than a second. It's an incredibly overpowered ability that many cultivators used to call the "God Flame".

Red color is when wind is at its most powerful, capable of creating large hurricanes that could swallow animals and ships. Even a simple Tier 1 spell of Wind Blast can generate enough force to blow up everything around it due to its strong element. And the energy needed to cast that is exponentially decreased, to the point he only needs 1/10 of its original amount to cast it.

Golden Brown is like that ability in Suna where a person can control the sand but it's not limited to just that, he can also control minerals from the Earth. Silver, gold, diamonds, you name it. Anything that the Planet has created can be controlled by this ability, although it costs a bit more energy to do that. But he can cast Earth-type spells with less energy needed, like Earthquake, a Tier 5 Spell, and Stone Hurricane, which is a Tier 6 Spell.

Even though normally, at his current level of cultivation, he won't be able to cast spells like those multiple times. But now, he can cast Tier 5 spells for about 20 or so times before he runs out of Arcane Energy. And if he forces it, which would drain his entire reserves, he can cast 2 Tier 6 spells. Those kinds of spells can change the terrain forever, and they are incredibly powerful.

But he won't just use them willy-nilly; they're going to be his trump cards. Casting Tier 5 and 6 spells on small fries is probably one of the stupidest things a cultivator can do. And most of them are wide-ranged, so it would also damage the scenery of the world. That's why all cultivators mostly never use spells like those, unless they're facing an army.

Even criminal cultivators respect that kind of unwritten rule. But sometimes, there are stupid ones that would use Tier 6/7 spells and ruin everything for everyone.

Anyway, Dark Blue is a water element that's much heavier than the average liquid. If he casted a simple water spell like Water Wave, a Tier 2, and if he dropped it on a person, that person would get squashed to death almost immediately. Every single drop of water from the Dark Blue water element is 1 kilogram. Imagine a bucket of it being poured on someone…

And then there's the Black White color. This is the strongest lightning element. He doesn't know how strong it is but in his estimation, its power could fluctuate from 10 Billion to 100 Billion Volts. But the most dangerous out of this element of lightning is its current. Even 100 Volts of this can kill an average person due to its current.

His thoughts were cut-off when he heard his name being called by Itachi.

"Ren, are you listening?" The older Uchiha said.

He turned to look at his sensei, saying, "What's the matter?"

Itachi signed, and explained, "I was talking about the chunin exams. I'm sure you three already know what that is, so I'll get straight to the point. A few Jounin-sensei in the village received three forms, which is where their students would have to sign to join the chunin exams. However, it's the choice of the students if they really want to join it. Now, do you three think that you're qualified for the exams?"

It was a question asked that was immediately answered.

"I'm going to enter the exams, nii-san. Maybe it'll be dangerous enough for me to awaken my Sharingan," Sasuke said confidently.

"I see… How about you two?" He asked Ren and Azumi.

"I'll join. I don't have anything better to do anyway," the red-head said with nonchalance in his voice.

"Me too! Gimme the forms, sensei!" Azumi excitedly said as she reached out for the paper in her sensei's hands.

He gave them each form, and after doing so, he told his younger brother this, "And Sasuke, don't rush your eyes' awakening. It'll happen someday naturally, and late bloomers are usually stronger than those who've awakened their eyes earlier. So take it slow." That is true, considering that their father wasn't able to awaken his sharingan until he was around 14 years old. Then he became an S-Rank nin at 24 years old, inherited the position of the Clan Head at 25, and became one of the strongest Uchiha alive, second only to Uchiha Kagami.

While the ranking seems unfair, many of his clan members say that he is the strongest Uchiha in the clan but that is simply not true. Kagami is still stronger than him, along with his father. If he has to guess, maybe he is the third strongest Uchiha but definitely not the strongest. And also maybe Shisui since they're equal in skills and strength.

His mother is a bit below him in terms of skills and abilities, though that is understandable since being a housewife has deluded her senses a lot. But she is still the deadliest woman he knows, and he fears and respects his mother, rightfully so.

Even his father is not immune. Sometimes, he and Sasuke would wake up to see him sleeping on the couch after his mother and father had an argument. It's a bit funny though, seeing the esteemed clan head being ordered around by his wife.

After some time, they finally filled the forms, and returned it to him. Then he told them that the chunin exams would start at around 1 PM. It's only 8 AM, so they have a lot of time to prepare. Their meeting place being the facility near the Forest of Death.

Meanwhile, Ren decided to practice some of his newly found powers to better understand it and how he could tone its power down in case he's sparring against allies. The thing is, when his spiritual roots appeared, his normal fire, water, wind, earth, and lightning elements permanently changed to something much, much more powerful. That's why he can't just use the normal fireball spell, it'll turn into a white blue flame that would instantly destroy anything in its path.

In short, he has to be very careful when using those five elements. If he happens to go all out inside the village, Konoha would be burned to the ground. It's not even a joke. His destructive power right now could change the map of the world. Of course he'd never go all out unless he's on his last stand. That would just be plain stupid.

To use his new powers wisely, he'll have to cast smaller and simpler spells like Fire Bullets, Water Pellets, Wind Blow, Earth Throw, or Lightning Slug. Those are Tier 1 and 2 spells. They can still kill but he can at least control their strength so that they won't kill allies.

It's honestly so troublesome to be this strong, sigh.

As he sat under a tree, removing his forehead protector for no particular reason, and waiting, he tried to think about what to do in these 4 hours he had until the exams. It's pretty boring not fighting others, or harassing leaders of countries just for fun. He used to blackmail them of the pretty messed up things they've done, like participating in a gangbang on a 15-year old girl, or when they took money from their country to do nasty things, such as going to brothels to cheat on their spouses.

The look of panic and fear on their faces whenever he brings evidence in front of them really never gets old. Then he bashes their head in and calls it a day.

He used to do this every few months or so. Since he was the most powerful man back then, no one was really able to do anything against him. And the fact he had an army of millions was only the cherry on top.

The gods did have champions that they would send to kill him but he would send them back in a box. Most of the time, they're in one piece but sometimes, in several.

Maybe that's the reason the gods hated him so much? Nah, can't be it. That was him being merciful. Usually his enemies get a 2-hour visit from him after they've been captured, and in that time, they get their organs slowly ripped off from them, their eyes being gouged out, brains being lobotomized, nails getting pulled out, and genitals receiving mutilation.

It's a daily routine he used to do, and works every goddamn time. Not only that, it's also a pretty fun thing to do as a morning exercise. But he can say right now that he's mellowed out a lot. Maybe having a parental figure helped a lot with that but he doesn't know.

He was pretty crazy back then. He doesn't even know why his enemies were still sending spies and stuff when all they get in return are gift boxes with their bodies chopped into pieces. But they usually have to get some metal container since the blood always drenches the box.

He chuckled to himself as he remembered all the things he did, and then sighed.

He rather likes this style of life at the moment. He appreciates it since in the near future, this won't be something he'll have anymore. It'll always be about killing enemies and taking over countries, which is fun on its own, but there's just something about peace that people love so much. Including him.

Anyway, after some time of sitting, he decided to stand up and go get himself something to eat. He's been craving for some thick and large beef steak, tea, and then mashed potato.

'I think there is a restaurant that serves that kind of stuff in the western part of the village,' he said in his thoughts, and disappeared in a blur.

He later appeared in front of that steakhouse, and its name was "Steak Dinner". For a place called dinner, they sure are open early. But this works in his favor, so who gives a fuck?

As he entered the establishment, he couldn't help but feel the luxurious touch surrounding the inside. White, metal tables covered with a white fabric that seems to be made from silk. Chairs made from the special wood from the Forest of Death, and chandeliers attached to the ceiling. Floors with porcelain tiles, and very clean walls, where they put various paintings on.

But before he could properly enter the building, he was stopped by a guard.

"Kid, only special people can place their foot on this restaurant. Now scram!" The guard made sure to give him a mocking smirk.

Helel turned around, and when he saw that there were barely any people walking around, he turned back. With a smile on his face, he pointed at the guard with his index finger and said, "Bye-bye."

A slight light of lightning directed itself from his finger towards the man's chest, and the guard suddenly keeled as he grasped where his heart was located, trying to breath but to no avail. As he slowly lost the light in his eyes while staring at the red-headed child, he saw something appear. A perfect replica of himself, standing over him.

And the child entered after having an illusion take the guard's place, while also placing an illusion around the entrance so that the people won't suspect anything. Since there are no CCTV cameras here or anything like that, there is no way they'd be able to find the culprit unless they know how to use Arcane Energy, or Natural Energy.

It's the perfect crime.

He walked towards the clerk, who smiled at him as she said, "What are you doing here, little boy? Are you lost?"

He sighed, and thought that couldn't they see his forehead protector? Then he realized that he had removed it earlier, and maybe that's why the guard was so disrespectful towards him. Well, that man had no one to blame but himself for his death.

He took it out, and showed it to the clerk.

She widened her eyes, and said, "Ah, right this way, shinobi-san. There should be a vacant table around…" she looked over the place and pointed somewhere, "there."

He nodded, and said, "Thanks. And it would be appreciated if you could bring a competent waiter for me." He didn't want to kill another person at the moment, after all. It ruins his appetite.

He took out a couple thousand ryo from inside his cloak, and the clerk froze a little but managed to calmly say, "D-Don't worry, shinobi-san. I'll bring you our most competent waitress." She took the cash, and as he walked away from her, she called someone to come to her.

He sat at the table she pointed at, and noticed a menu sitting on it. He picked it up and flipped it open. He saw various dishes. All of them were quite expensive, if he was an average person. A day ago, he had decided to buy himself the pouch that every ninja uses. It's quite spacious, so he was able to fit a hundred thousand ryo in it quite easily. Albeit they're all 1000 Ryo Papers.

The food in the menu cost an average of 300 to 1000. Their most expensive dish, however, is the wagyu steak, which is around 5000 Ryo a kilo. He almost laughed. That's almost 12 percent of what he and his team makes while doing various D-Rank missions. Most of the time, they'd do around 5 to 10 of them every single day, and their usual income is 30 to 40 thousand ryo. They'd have to split it up with each other though.

It's really profitable being a ninja.

Anyway, he decided to order 5 kilos of Wagyu steak since he's already in the Demigod Realm, which means that his metabolism is faster than the average human. So he won't be gaining that much weight eating a bunch of food.

A long, black haired waitress came to him, asking for his order.

"What's your order, sir?" Strangely, her voice was rather cold.

He ignored it, and replied, "Five kilos worth of wagyu steak, please. And 10 orders of mashed potato." Yeah, he's going all out on this.

She wrote in on a piece of paper, and turned around without saying anything.

Now it was obvious why she was so cold. He remembered that the kyuubi is in his gut and almost everyone in the village knows about it. The clerk earlier probably didn't recognize him but that waitress did.

20 minutes later, the waitress returned pushing a metal trolley. On it were his orders, and they looked damn delicious. He prepared a generous tip for the woman, just to be nice, but he won't give it after he's done eating.

And as she stopped in front of his table, she picked up a tray filled with wagyu steak on plates but then… she did the unthinkable.

She threw all of it towards his face, as she screamed with madness in her eyes, "This is what you deserve, you fucking demon!!"
