The days gradually went by and in few days, Anna Kentley was back at Yardstin.
"We are going shopping." She told Paige the very morning she arrived at the mansion in preparation for her sister's engagement party which was scheduled to hold the over the weekend.
Paige who know she had no money on her declined politely the other lady's offer.
"I don't think It's okay for me to go. Emily needs me here, she's going to be here all alone if I leave." She protested with the only excuse she could think of.
"Nonsense." Emily chipped in as she walked in on their conversation. "Go have fun. Annabelle, please take her along. She stays indoor so much that I fear she might be so bored but wouldn't want to say."
"I got this Emily. She's definitely coming with me." Anna replied.
"Now, let's go get you dressed Miss Paige." She said jokingly and pulled Paige towards the stairs that led to her room.
With her assistance, Paige got dressed in an nude leather skirt and a neon crop top which she complimented with a jacket. In her wildest fashion dream, she can never pair those outfits the way she did with Anna's help.
She looked adorable, all thanks to Bernice, her colleague at work who gave her information about Shein running an auction sale, thereby making it possible for her to purchase the clothes she had on.
"You are so beautiful, Paige." Anna complimented her as they looked her over in the mirror.
"Thank you." She blushed.
"Now let's go, bill is on me. It's long overdue anyway."
On hearing that she won't be the one paying, Paige heaved a sigh of relief. She looked herself over one last time courtesy of the mirror in her room and smiled in satisfaction.
They were outside in minutes, and made their way to Anna's Porsche that was carefully parked in the garage. But Simon drove into the compound before they could reach the car.
He stepped out of his car and called his sister over while Paige who couldn't help but admire Anna's car had her gaze focused on the little expensive gorgeousness parked in the garage.
This got her wondering how much Anna Kentley squandered on the car. Anna opened the car door and pleaded with her to sit and wait for her while she answer her brother.
"And, where are you taking her?" Simon ask with an expressionless face when his sister walked up to him.
"We are going shopping for your younger sister's engagement party. And she need some clothes too. You've forgotten the wardrobe allowance clause in her contract, haven't you?"
"Well, she packed the whole of her city, so I didn't see any reason for an allowance anymore."
Anna shrugged. "Some people like their comfort clothings. I have to go, you know she will need to make her hair, nails and lots of other women stuff" She added looking at Simon with a smile. "Those will be tomorrow though. We're just going to shop for clothes and accessories for now."
"You can asked them to bring their best clothes and accessories to the house. There is no really no need heading out of the house." Simon stated.
"Why? Do you think some guy out there might want to ask her out perhaps?" She asked smiling. "Do you like her?" She gave her brother a nudge on the shoulder as she asked the question.
"If you like her," she continued. "You can ask her out properly. Who knows, she might be single, especially now that her boyfriend seem to be out of the picture. But you need to ask her out properly to get a proper answer. She's not like your whores. She looks clean, unscathed and gorgeous as fuck. You know that already, don't you?" She asked smiling happily.
Simon combed through his hair impatiently with his finger.
"What the hell is she wearing Annabelle?" He finally asked after his sister's long epistle.
He got no answer for his question from Anna and he pressed on.
"Na, I asked you a question." Simon said trying his best to sound calm.
"Si, for crying out loud, we are going out. You don't expect her to wear a maternity gown. Do you?" She fired at him.
"But that skirt is too short!" He said through his teeth.
"Why is it suddenly short on her way? I wear shorter skirts brother and you don't ever say a thing about them. So why is hers different."
"I can't tell you what to wear, I'm not your boyfriend." Simon blurted out with a straight face.
"Is she your girlfriend then?" She asked with hands folded underneath her bossom.
Ignoring her question, Simon brought out a debit card from his pocket and handed it to his sister.
"Get her some nice stuff. Not naked outfits N.a." He stressed.
Anna smiled and took the debit card. This was the confirmation she needed, her brother was going soft and she loved every bit of it.
"Can I spend everything?" She asked him with a mischievous laughter.
"Hmmm, feel free to try." He replied before leaving for his room.
"Si," Anna called him back making him pause in his steps.
"I'll do you a favour today when we get back. Just make sure you are home, and in your room. Also, be ready to return the favour when I need it." she said giving her confused brother a warm hug.
"What are you talking about?" He asked confused.
"You'll see. Just be home." She replied and made her way back to car while Simon resumed his short journey to the house.
"Is everything okay? That took a while." Paige asked in a worried tone.
She had watched the brother and sister from her sitting position inside the car. Although she couldn't hear what they were saying, it did feel like they were having a heated argument before making up finally with a hug.
Anna sat down at the driver's seat and bought the car engine to life.
"Simon is feeling sick. I think it's something he ate, I'm not sure. Maybe you can check up on him if he's still down when we get back." She added turning to Paige after driving out of the Mansion.
"Sure." Paige replied a bit relieved that it wasn't what she had thought initially.
