1 Chapter 1

So bored..

Even playing video games isn't fun anymore and I've already learnt so much shit about absolutely random stuff, something that'll never be of use to me.

Fucking virus took a whole year of my life. College used to be so much fun. But after lockdown, it's been tough. There's only so much time one can spend with their families before they went crazy. One would expect home life to be alright, a place with no craziness that's been happening everywhere else in the world. But nooo... Everyone is bored out of their damn minds and are fighting among each other.

I somehow managed to leave the house with an excuse of going out to buy groceries. God knows I need some time for myself.

Next thing I know is that I am walking towards a mob of protestors in a display of their anger towards the new policy passed by the parliament. I had no intention of getting involved their political games.

As I was about walk around the mob, a rogue protestor ran and threw a friking molotov at a perfectly innocent truck! What in the blazing hells happened to peaceful protesting?!

What happened after? It was revenge of the trucks!

A juggernaut of a truck barrelled down the road and made mashed human out of the entire mob. The police men stood gawking as the damned truck continued its carnage all the way to where I stood and *BAM* sent me flying. I impaled myself to a pointed branch of a tree and the last thing I remember was that the enraged truck revved and went ahead to killing everyone else.

The message was clear. Never fuck with trucks.

The very next moment I found myself lying on wet sand, weak and tired. I tried to get up, but, the fatigue was too much for my limbs to follow my commands.

'Ughh.. I should have stayed at home.'

Then the memories struck me like current from a naked wire.

'My name is... Allan? Huh?! That's not my name! My name is.. I can't remember!! What the absolute fuck? No no no no no... Don't tell me I got transmigrated! Oh hell no! That blasted truck!! I was just a by stander, damn it! I have a whole family and a future ahead of me!! Screw this shit!'

I calmly processed the situation I was in.

'I wanna go back!!'

Ok. Not calmly. I cried for god knows how much time. The water from the waves cleaned the tears away, only for newer ones to roll down my eyes. When I had no tears left to shed, I rolled on my back and took a few breaths. Finally, after I calmed down, I was further able to learn from the memories of the poor boy whose body I was possessing.

'Allan.. turned ten a few days ago and was captured by slavers?! What the fuck?! Parents sold me for some coins? Coins?! Mereen? Essos? Westeros?! I'm in fucking 'Game of Thrones'!!!'

And then I panicked some more. I was in a world of magic, of wonder, of adventure, of maniacs and ruthless bastards and savages and zombies and the related fuckery!!

I felt something tied around my waist. As I touched it, I pulled it out and saw that it was a dagger Allan had managed to steal from one of the 'Masters' before the ship was capsized by the waves.

Right then, a white coloured text appeared in front of me.

'So much information.. Alright, let's slowly go through this.'

Health was pretty clear and one point in vitality gave me a little more than six points in health. I'm talking about decimals. Energy was used to cast magic and use my skills and it was the same with focus as health was with vitality.

Strength signified my physical strength. The damage I could deal equated to the sum of strength and the additional damage bonus my weapon and gear provided.

Dexterity was half the amount of my attack, that is, accuracy and speed and evasion. Strength also influenced my accuracy by one in seven.

I shrugged and thought about trying it out later. Next were reflex, willpower, fortitude, vigour and cunning. The mean of these five abilities was my physical defence. My accuracy also depended upon my weapon ability.

'Hand to hand combat? Heh.. Allan must have gotten that from fighting.'

It was true. Allan was a good natured kid but he didn't accept any crap from other mean ones. He had gotten into more than a few fights among peers.

It was a pretty simple system. I tried calling for quests but found none. Also, it wasn't sentient.

'I can live with that. Who wants an entinity interfering with every decision they make.'

Huh... apparently I was supposed to discover all the uses of the system on my own.

'I wonder what that stat description indicates. Perhaps it says what stat is required for the skill to be more effective? Anyway, do I get a starter pack or something? I mean, this is a highly dangerous world and I'm in the body of a kid!'

[Open starter pack?]

'Fuck yeah!'

[Starter pack opened:

'That's... a very good starter pack. Strike that, it's an amazing starter pack!!'

[All availible skill books have been used. All shots have been administered]

I could feel it my bones, the changes happening in my body and the knowledge and experience that surged into my brain. I then immediately used a health and an energy potion. I had to get away from the shore as soon as possible.

Strength returned to my body and I got up on my feet. I looked around and saw a man lying prone. I equipped the dagger and held it in my hand, feeling my body become nimble.

'That's what 150 dexterity does, huh?'

I silently knelt down next the the man and poked him with the knife. He was dressed like a guard and I remembered Allan seeing similar armour on the slavers ship.

*Squelch*

I stabbed him right in the jugular, expecting blood to gush out of the wound. Instead, a hole was left behind as I pulled the knife out with no bleeding whatsoever. The man had been dead for quite a while.

I flipped him over and searched his body to salvage anything useful. He had a pair of daggers strapped around his waist. Unlike the one I had stolen from the 'master', the daggers were ordinary, but, high quality castle forged ones.

He had a pouch on his waist as well that sounded metallic upon rattling. I hurriedly open it and saw some silver and gold rings.

'In you go, my future source of wealth and food.'

The pouch was deposited into my inventory along with the daggers. I stripped him naked and threw everything in my inventory before bolting towards the trees nearby. Making haste, I climbed a tall tree and sat on a thick branch before taking a moment to breathe.

There was no telling if anyone saw me. I was going to wait until evening before venturing further into the woods.

With a Valyrian steel dagger in my hands, I had an ever lasting carving and cutting tool. I looked around and pulled a branch towards me before cutting it off with a clean swing of Heartsbane.

After that, I got busy carving out a wooden spear. There was no way I was going to display Heartsbane out in the open for the world to see.

As I finished carving the spear, a longboat arrived at the shore with four male occupants. I couldn't hear them over the waves and the wind, but, they appeared to be looking around for someone.

'It's me they're looking for, obviously. I took all the loot!'

The four men were clearly Ironborn.

'Umm... Observe?'

[Random Ironborn scum

lvls: 45; 43; 48; 50]

'Boss level fight right at the start. What's the difficulty set for me? Impossible?!'

It seemed like I had been abandoned by the goddess of luck.
