CHAPTER 27 : Appearances and Etiquette

A night passed, Saturday came. And the deciding day for both. The two were still at their home, sleeping on their bed.

Until Yuu eventually wakes up first. He took a look at the window, with rays of light peeking from it, and to their wall clock, seeing the time, a little over 8:00 AM. Yuu didn't waste any time and immediately stood up, leaving the cute, angelic sleeping beauty on their bed, tucking her with a blanket.

Yuu started cooking whatever breakfast he can with the remaining ingredients for the week. In this case, only a few chicken and eggs are left.

Omurice it is, then.

He decided it will be omurice for the day, and started cooking. He didn't have to bother about what to eat later, they can always drop by the nearby supermarket to buy their groceries.

"Good morning, Yuu."

"Ah, good morning. Did you sleep well?"

"Mmm…"

A few minutes later, just by the time Yuu is mostly finished, Aoi woke up, walking down the stairs, greeting Yuu while rubbing her eyes.

"Let's eat, but brush your teeth first, will you?"

"Mm"

Aoi followed his words and went to the bathroom and started brushing her teeth. Coming back a few minutes later, now with a more fresher air around her, she went straight to the dining room and sat down. Yuu was already sitting down with their breakfast prepared.

"Itadakimasu~"

The two said in unison and started eating their fill.

"It's finally today, huh…." Aoi shyly said as she paused on her meal, actually her plate is already more than half empty already.

"That's right…"

"But… I'll definitely surprise Yuu later!" Aoi enthusiastically said as she stood up, carrying her empty plate

"Is that so? Then, I look forward to today's date." Yuu said with a calm tone and slightly red cheeks.

"Yeah! Now, I'll take my bath—" Aoi immediately ran towards the bathroom with a flushed face.

Yuu started washing the dishes after he finished, and sat in the living room for a while. That said, when Aoi finished, she immediately rushed towards her room, went back down with a paper bag on her hand, and headed towards the door.

"Well then. I'll meet you again at the station later at 11~"

Both had agreed to meet at the station by 11, and both had also agreed that they will have their time by themselves, preparing in private.

"Aren't you forgetting something?" Yuu leaned on the wall, looking at Aoi with a smile on his face.

"Eh, what?"

"Well, it's something that we had never done that much, we pretty much leave the house at the same time and go back home at the same time after all…"

"Ah— I see. Then—" Aoi put on her pair of shoes and turned around, facing Yuu, put a big smile on her face and said the words "Ittekimasu~ (I'll be going now~)"

"Mm…" Yuu walked forward towards her, held her shoulders, and leaned his face towards her forehead, giving her forehead a kiss. "Itterasshai~ (Take care!~)"

Both had embarrassed faces, but Aoi kept her composure and smile intact, and smiled at him again, walking outside the door, closing it. Until…

𝘏-𝘏-𝘏𝘦… 𝘬𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘺 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘥…!!!! Aoi thought as she squatted down, cupping her forehead, right where Yuu kissed.

But that was only Aoi's side, as for Yuu… he simply… fell down, sitting on the ground, supported by the wall beside him.

𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘴𝘰 𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨! 𝘛𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘢 𝘬𝘪𝘴𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨!!! Both took their time embarrassed. But Aoi came back to her senses, well… 5 minutes later….

That said, those two might only use those phrases ever so rarely, so this time was precious.

After leaving, Yuu, who now came back to his own senses, started bathing as well, to prepare for the real challenge that comes next.

"Ah— I'll get it, it's probably her—!" after hearing the doorbell rang, Hina, along with her siblings who were home, reacted to it. Hina immediately and enthusiastically stood up and ran towards the door.

"Welcome, Aoi!"

Aoi entered Hina's house, and Hina just pushed her upstairs and onto her room. Aoi had been to Hina's house countless times, so her being seen by her relatives isn't that much embarrassing anymore.

"Oi, what do you think your doing?!"

"Ow…!" Aoi landed a chop on Hina's forehead, who was sniffing her around.

"Nothing, it's just your hair— it's more… fragrant than before."

"Is it? Well, I did change my shampoo recently."

"Oh?"

"No, it was before we started dating, so stop getting some weird ideas!"

"Ow…!" Aoi landed another chop on her forehead, and Hina just simply chuckled her way.

"Now, let's start. We only have a little over an hour after all."

"Well, you'd want to change first~" Hima gave her the paper bag Aoi brought, and Hina exited the room.

"I'm done…."

"Woow~ it really looks so beautiful on you!"

"Yes, yes. Save the compliments for later, the hair might take a while."

"Then, let's do your hair now~" Hina followed her and started touching her hair. She also started working on it gently, as Aoi's hair is so delicate and smooth, Hina knew it will be a waste if she damages it, so she worked on it as gentle as she could.

A few minutes later, Hina finished doing her hair, which now turned to beautiful, braided pigtails.

"Then, now a little makeup~" Hina now started with her face, applying some makeup on it, eventually finishes a few minutes later.

"Can you stand up and carry this?" Hina gave her a small handbag.

Aoi stood up, holding the handbag with both hands, and showing quite a shy and embarrassed expression.

"..." Hina paused, or rather, froze on the sight she's looking at right now.

"Please say something…."

"Ah, sorry, just got petrified… it's… beautiful…. It's perfect, this is perfect! I'll let you borrow that bag for now, you can just return it on class by monday."

"Does it really suit the outfit? Well, if you say so, I'll trust you…."

"Yeah! Now go!" Hina gave her back a gentle push and they walked downstairs, and Aoi eventually left the house.

Hina's other siblings who stared at Aoi as she exited had frozen up.

"Quite an angel I've made, eh?" Hina looked at her siblings with a grin on her face, and they all just agreed with a nod.

That said, Aoi immediately went to the station, and immediately got attention. She already knew this will happen, so she just walked around, looking for Yuu

A few minutes earlier, Yuu had finished bathing, and went upstairs practically half naked. He usually does this at home, but now that he's living with Aoi, he decided not to.

"Will this really work?...." Yuu took out the outfit Sora recommended, and stared at it.

He eventually finished preparing up, fixing his hair, and wearing the recommended outfit. He looked at the mirror and looked at himself.

"Well… I guess it's not that bad…."

Yuu left the house with the pair of recommended shoes on him, and right now, he basically exited the house as a completely different person.

He headed towards the station, which as Aoi did— Yuu as well gathered a lot of attention. Particularly the attention of girls.

A few seconds later, Aoi had finally found him, and walked towards him.

"Sorry to make you wait, Yuu."

"Ah, it's fine, I just got here—" as Yuu raised her head and looked at Aoi.

Yuu froze in place as he saw a different Aoi. Dressed in a white, frilled off shoulder top dress, a black skirt, and a white stockings to balance things out, and to top it all off with the hairdo. He just got lost in his train of thoughts.

"Yuu?"

"Ah, nothing… it's just that…."

There is something that a man cannot forget whenever a woman dresses up, and that is…

"...you looked so beautiful…."

"..."

To compliment her. Aoi's face immediately became bright red to the sudden compliment, and decided to fight back.

"Y-You too. Yuu looks more… handsome now…."

Aoi as well told him, seeing Yuu like that, she, as well, froze when he saw him, but just decided to steel her resolve, and returned to her usual composure. After all, Yuu rarely fixes his appearance, so this is a sight for her. That said, despite being so simple, his outfit that contained a simple black cardigan over a white shirt and light beige jeans is something that just makes him perfect. Sora knew that too, that overstyling him won't work, so he went for a simple style, which fitted him perfectly.

Both were red to their compliments, but Yuu didn't fall back that easily, he reached out his hand to her, and asked her.

"Then, shall we go?" Yuu said it with a calm tone and a smile, so Aoi did so as well.

"Yeah. But…"

"What?"

"I'd prefer this~" Aoi wrapped herself around Yuu's arm and started walking with him.

"Haa— alright. Let's go." Yuu didn't fight back and just went with her.

Now, the two entered the station, with Aoi clinging on Yuu's arm, smiling happily together. And thus… the two start their first ever date together.
