"Holy moly, this won't budge" Mills said out of breath after countless attempts of smashing at a door frame. Ed has been on an exploration rampage, he is now six days in. He has been to abandoned police stations, schools, houses, government facilities, and so on.

Ed was looking for something big. Something amazing that will once again change his world view, but it was hard. Nowhere he went was there a substantial encounter, sure he had a scare or two once or twice, but they were easily written off as nothing. This time Ed was also keeping his eye out for more than just the paranormal. Looking through old documents Ed was looking for any impertinent information, anything that could be useful anywhere, but of course only useless invoices, money receipts, and random gibberish was only found.

After every urban exploration session Ed went home with the same plan of scouring websites and video platforms for anything of substance. This could range from government conspiracy theories, to places that have recorded high amounts of paranormal activity.

Ed also found a website called ShareYourSpooks.com. It was a video sharing website mainly for mysterious and horror related things. With one of the only rules being authentic videos this peaked Eds interest to actually make an account and participate. His name on it was EldritchEddy, an original name, at least by the websites standard as it registered it as his own.

He had added some people that he thought were authentic and some seemed to be while others were blocked, not because Ed hated them, he just didn't want to waste time with fakes.

"Dink ... Thud" Got it open baby, Mills said ecstatically as an square entrance was revealed to him.

"Good job bud, let's go in, apparently a lot of people died here a while ago due to unregulated fire codes or something, so it should be good." Ed said this as his figure disappeared into the dark as Mills stood there still soaking in what he said.

"Damn, wait up!" Mills ran after Ed passing water damaged corridors that reeked with a wet moldy smell.

"Hey take this" Ed handed over a mask to Mills "Just in case, you never know what we could be breathing in."

Both the men continued walking over garbage, broken tiles, and debris dodging anything that may be dangerous or even fatal. Ed was reading documents and other various things while Mills stood on guard waiting to alert on anything crazy.

"Holy shit dude, apparently the graduating class of 1060 had 800 hundred people in it, that was the class that almost all the kids died in due to the fire. They never released the number of casualties, no wonder as so many children died due to seemingly simple negligence." Ed gave his theory on why information was held back on the Hanford middle school tragedy.

"You thinkin what I'm thinking." Mills said right after Ed got done talking

"Probably not." Ed was sure he wasn't close to what Mills was thinking.

"There were way too many deaths for the outrage to be suppressed by a simple easy to find piece of paper, their is more to this definitely." Mills said trying to use logic as to why they never released the death toll.

"Let's keep going, there's a lot to explore here." Ed hurried his friend along as he got antsy to find the truth.

The sound of water dripping ruminated room to room adding to the anxiety of exploring somewhere dangerous. It was dark out as they didn't want to be caught by law enforcement who patrolled the area. Ed and Mills continued along their journey when Mills suddenly stopped and shushed loudly

"sssshhhh, did you hear that, it sounded like someone." Mills whispered trying to conceal his anxiety.

" No, what did you hear." Ed was about to make fun of Mills when the sound of something above them happened.

"Plop, Plop, plop, plop ...." The sounds continued moving above the boys and past them, following these sounds for a second with their eyes both of them came up with a realization, those plops were headed toward the staircase.

Like clockwork Mills was the first to turn tail and leave, and Ed was behind him as he didn't have any protection on him at the moment. Bumbling through hallways that were unfamiliar to them, Ed and Mills eventually found a staircase proceeding to run down it. It was cracking and creaking with each step as they ran down it towards the first floor.

Starting to feel uneasy about the staircase Mills tried to slow down and say something to Ed but he just ran past Mills grabbing his arm yelling "Let's go" as he continued downstairs. This wasn't out of incompetence or maliciousnes, Ed did this in the heat of the moment thinking something might have happened to Mills. What he didn't think about, or most others, is that Mills was actually so highly perceptive that he noticed the sound of the stairs creaking in such a way that he knew they wouldn't hold their weight, and so exactly that happened.

The stairs started to roar as the weight burden overcame the broken steps. Crumbling down along with the stairs Ed and Mills both screamed a death scream, the screams were much cruder and realistic than any movie would be able to produce.

With many clanks and slams along with two broken floors to catch both their weight Ed got up and surveyed his surroundings. What he saw was horrific, bones as far as the eyes could see in darkness spread across a dirt and wood floor, yet somehow this wasn't the worst sight Ed saw after falling.

"gurgle ... cough ... splat, Ed it hurts, please."

A rebar pole stuck out of Mill's abdomen, and blood pooled around him. He had desperate pleading eyes as he couldn't really feel the pain yet because of the shock. They were directed at Ed pleading for help.
