11 Goodbye

"Can't you just forgive me? Does what I have said back then even matter anymore after my apologies?" Bryana said the words as the helplessness was painted all over her face. She refused to say the words again. She did not remember the exact words, but it was so rude and cruel. It would be so embarrassing to repeat the words in front of her family.

Ayana kept looking at her sister with a blank face. She was really resisting the urge to roll her eyes at her sister's ridiculous statement. Bryana might ask for forgiveness, but she hasn't forgiven her for saying such a thing to her.

"I really have forgotten everything I said back then. I was so panicked that I just blurted out everything randomly. Moreover, I became angry at that time since you looked so disinterested about everything. My job as a professional model was at stake. I really didn't mean to say what I said,'' Bryana said in a panic as her eyes scanned everyone around her. Their calm and unreadable expressions make her heart tremble.

Ayana chuckled cynically at her sister's words, "Oh my, how could the words you easily forgot be the same words that hurt my heart so much, sister?"

Bryana was stunned when she saw Ayana's mocking eyes. She never expected her sister to be so petty, especially in front of their family. She did not bother to act kindly and maintained her image.

"And, the fact that you said those words to me only means that you've actually thought about that. That saddened me so much," Ayana said regretfully.

Bryana felt her breath hitched at Ayana's last remark. She opened her mouth, but then closed it again as nothing came out. Her mind suddenly went blank. She really could not come out with another excuse as she looked at Ayana with surprise.

"So, you can't repeat what you said back then?" Ayana asked as she smiled, but her eyes looked at Bryana coldly.

Haruka saw that the situation was getting worse and wanted to step in when her husband held her hand and shook his head. Haruka knew that her husband wanted the twins to solve their own problems and Haruka's intervention could appear like she wanted to take sides. But Haruka could not just watch it since she was worried that the siblings' fight would get worse.

"I can help you with that since I still remember every word clearly, sister," Ayana suggested, breaking the awkward silence in the room.

Ayana then recited Bryana's words that day without breaking their eye contact, "I hope you die with our pathetic father back then. I hope you died and stop bothering mother with your—"

Ayana did not have a chance to finish her word when Bryana's scream cut her word.

"Stop it, you are a liar. I never say such a thing," Bryana screamed as she lunged ahead, wanting to tear Ayana's mouth.

Bryana's hand was just an inch from Ayana when Raphael and Roney suddenly appeared beside her and held her hand, pulling her away from Ayana.

Bryana was panting heavily from her anger as she looked at Ayana with hatred. She wanted to move forward, wanting to erase the calm and mocking that clearly showed on her sister's face. Unfortunately, with Raphael and Roney who held her hand tightly, she could only try.

Roxane was so shocked at the sudden change of event. She had never seen Bryana so agitated to the point she wanted to hurt someone physically. She only approached Ayana and stroked the girl back after she awakened from her shock.

Roxane was a bit surprised when she was standing beside Ayana now. Although Ayana looked calm and collected, she was actually so angry and Roxane could feel it from the aura surrounding her. Roxane noticed Ayana's tight fist and sighed.

Looking at the messy situation, Haruka loudly exhaled and decided to step in. This time, her husband did not say anything

"Escort your sister back to the car, please, Roney, Raphael. Your sister really needs to cool down her head. Dear, you and Haruka could also get back to the car first. I need to talk to Bryana for a moment." Haruka said calmly.

As Roxane and Richard walked out of the room and closed the door behind their back, Haruka sighed, pushing back the disappointment and sadness caused by the conflict. She could not believe this problem would end up this way. They should have parted peacefully since Ayana would live far away from them after this.

Haruka massaged her head when she felt her head getting dizzy from the thought. She was really tired now. She understood what happened between the twins from the heated discussion earlier. From Bryana's reaction, it seems that her elder daughter had made her sister angry.

After a brief peaceful moment, Haruka opened her mouth, "dear, I'm sorry for…."

"Don't say that, mom. You did nothing wrong," Ayana said while looking at her mother. She dislikes the thought that her mother has to apologize on behalf of Bryana.

Haruka nodded her head in understanding.

"I will let both of you resolve this on your own, but please promise me that you won't be fighting for too long. I want our family to spend time together happily," Haruka said as she stroked her daughter's hand.

Ayana nodded at her mother's words. She realized that what she did earlier was so childish, but she couldn't hold her anger down when her own sister mocked their father like that. Her father was far from pathetic. Her father was a victim.

Moreover, Ayana also felt that her sister hides something as she suddenly approached her with a smile and wanted to mend their relationship. There was something that motivated her sister to ask for her forgiveness. She knew regret was not one of the reasons since she can hear her sister's insincere apology. She was not sorry for what she said and even pretended to forget about it.

"I am sorry to disturb you, but our last convoy will take off soon." A woman suddenly appeared at the door, surprising Ayana and Haruka.

"Of course. Could you wait outside for a bit?" Haruka asked Rainy to leave them alone for a second. Rainy complies as she steps out of the room.

"Dear, I'm very sorry about what happened just before your departure to district 2, but I hope that you remember everything that I told you before. The most important thing is if you are suffering... No, I mean when you cannot hold it anymore… No, no, no, I mean, even when you feel a slight discomfort living in District 2, you must find District 4 representative in ...."

"Mom, I understand, you don't have to worry about that," Ayana smiled as she embraced her mother. She had listened to the long advice from her mother a week ago. Her mother always gave the sermon every time she had leisure time.

"I promise I will visit you as soon as possible, you don't have to worry about that…." Haruka's voice wavers as if she wanted to cry.

"I will be fine, mother," Ayana patted her mother back, reassuring the woman.

"You will, You will," The woman's eyes were moist as she repeated those words, sounding like she tried to convince herself rather than her child.

"I will go now," Haruka said as she kissed Ayana's forehead and cheek. She always does this as far as Ayana remembers.

"Bye, mom," Ayana waved her hand as her mother walked out through the door.

"I will see you soon," Haruka said before her figure was completely gone from the door.

The woman from District 2, who came to escort her, stepped inside the room a few minutes later.

"Hai, I'm Rainy, the white colonel. I was ordered to bring you to the meeting point, you can follow me, miss, our plane will be taking off for around 30 minutes from now," The girl said as she entered the room and approached Ayana.

Ayana nodded and took a small bag from the corner of the room.

"Let's go," Ayana said as she looked at Rainy.

"Are you sure you want to wear those? Why don't you change your wedding gown to something comfortable? The flight will take around 5 hours, you know," Rainy said as she started to observe Ayana boldly.

"That was fast," Ayana was a bit surprised. She knew that the flight would take more than ten hours from District 4 to District 2.

"Let's just say that we would not use the usual airplane but the special airplane owned by military District 2. The aircraft was very fast since it used magic as a power source," Rainy explained with a proud expression.

Ayana raised her eyebrows and blinked as she heard Rainy's explanation. She had heard about this special aircraft owned by military District 2, but she did not expect that they would use it for attending a political marriage. Using magic power or mana for 5 hours flight sounds exorbitant.

Ayana never thinks about this, but for the first time, she felt the difference in power between District 2 and District 4. People in District 4 would definitely waste the valuable mana for five hours flight since it was really pricey, while District 2, uses the mana as if it was no different than electricity.

"What do you think I should wear?" Ayana asked as she dropped her bag and began to rummage the insides, trying to find something to wear.

"Something formal, maybe a dress?" Rainy said she observed Ayana closely.

Ayana frowned a little since she didn't bring any dress in her bag right now. She was tempted to wear the wedding dress, but she can't imagine how her body will endure another hour of torture since the waist of the dress used corset-like material.

"I don't have any. Can I just wear long pants?" Ayana asked as she pulled out the jeans from her bag.

"Just wear anything you think is great when you need to meet your in-law," Rainy said annoyedly.

She kept observing Ayana with dislike. Her first impression of Ayana was great since the girl looks elegant and beautiful in her wedding dress, but after meeting her now, it seems like the girl is not as graceful as she thinks.

She was trying to act friendly to Ayana, but Ayana's meek appearance bothered her. She can't believe their leader would marry such a weak girl. She can even break the girl's frail neck in one snap.

She knew that it was unreasonable to think of something like that since this is just a political marriage. However, this girl is just like a speck of dirt in their general's reputation that can't be erased.

Although they will separate sometime in the future, people will never forget about Luca's first marriage and wife. From the gossip she heard, the Luxon family initially agreed on the marriage and offered the twin sister, Bryana Luxon. They must change their mind and choose Ayana since they think that Bryana was too valuable.

Rainy who was deep in her thought was startled when Ayana suddenly took off her dress from above her head.

"What are you doing? Have you had no shame?" Rainy stutters as she averts her gave away from Ayana. Her face was getting red since she caught the woman figure under the dress, and she must say that her body was to die for. She rarely felt shy about looking at a woman's body, but Ayana might be a different case since she was so pretty.

"Is there anything wrong?" Ayana asked with amusement in her voice when she noticed Rainy's reaction to her nakedness.

"You have to tell me that you want to change, moreover, I think there is a zipper behind the dress that you can use to take off the dress elegantly," Rainy said with irritation in her voice.

"You are funny," Ayana said in a monotonous tone as she started to wear the long black pants and a white t-shirt.
