Crap!

What was he doing? 

More importantly, what was she doing, crying like a damsel in distress?

"Damnit!" 

"This is bullshit." She cursed, but who was she directing her anger? Was it at him, or was she more furious with herself?

Quickly, with a swipe of the back of her palm across her cheeks, she wiped the tears off her face. But it was just not enough as tears continued to flow down and dropped on her lap.

What was the point of all this? Why did he have to apologize when it would not change the past or make the future brighter?

"I need some air." She said more to herself than to him while he remained silent, just appearing to be watching her break down and cry.

She unbuckled her seatbelt and exited the car, finding the small space suffocating. And the main reason she could not breathe was the man beside her.
