17 Legacy book

Nolan was in his room, sitting in front of his pc, he went through articles about wilderness survival, scrolling through texts and texts of convoluted actions one must perform out in the wilderness.

"sigh... I wish there was one that accounted for monsters as well." He sighed, closing the web page, reclining back on his chair, and staring at the ceiling.

"We need a solid plan, I have already wasted time with the excuse of gathering more info and checking the truth about the coming apocalypse." Now that he confirmed the existence of monsters, ones that could exit right under them, he knew he didn't have much time left.

Nolan thought hard, his mind empty than he would like, not one solid plan coming to mind.

"I guess I have never been good with plans," standing up, he left his room, going downstairs.

The kitchen was empty, as well as the living room, but he already knew where his mom was. Opening the fridge, he took out a milk bottle, pouring one cup of it on the counter.

Then he walked to the pantry, took out cookies, and walked back to the second floor, entering Jane's room.

"Oh hey, you finished with your schoolwork?" Jane sat on top of her bed, wearing a pink full-cover bathrobe while her hair was held by a white headband, a laptop on her lap, and her lower body covered in a fresh blanket.

"Yeah, just wanted to discuss something," Nolan sat on the bed, scooting closer to her, his back on the bed's headboard, his shoulders touching with Jane's.

"Sure, let me finish this list first." Jane focused back on her laptop, writing a list of names of flowers, their prices, and some other texts Nolan attributed used in the flower business market.

"What is this?" Nolan asked as he ate a cookie.

"List of rare flowers and medicinal flowers from all over the world, I plan on buying their seeds and planting them when the end comes, their usefulness will equal that of modern medicine, if we at least use your cum to nurture them," Jane said casually.

"Nurture them with what?" Nolan looked at her wide-eyed.

"Your cum. the herb grows with your cum alone, so I thought why not try it on other plants, sure enough, they grew fine without any problems. They were of higher quality than even the best plant I ever raised." Jane tapped one last number, saved the list, and closing the laptop, she looked at his wide-eyed face.

"Don't act so shocked, anyway what did you want to talk about?" She took a bottle filled with green liquid from her nightstand, drinking a small sip of it.

"um... what you were doing just now. We need a solid plan or plans to do before it comes, things that would increase our chances of survival, like the medicinal plants you wanted to order." He passed a cookie to her.

"That's true, I don't really have that much idea about what to do and prepare, though looking for a secluded and far away location from people might be a good start." She took the cookie, dipping it in the glass filled with milk in Nolan's hand.

"Yeah, that might be good, though getting too far away will be a problem as well, Living in the wilderness might become more dangerous than the concrete jungle we live in." Nolan stared at her absentmindedly, the itch to lick her smooth neck in the back of his mind.

"Hmm.. that's true, I have been meaning to ask this for a while, but where is the magical legacy book you said you could only read?" Jane suddenly asked, a curious look on her face.

"Ah.. right, I completely forgot about it, I hid it under my clothes in the drawer." Nolan ran out of the room, his footsteps hurried.

Jane took another cookie from the bag he left on her bed, a mild frown on her face as crumbs fell on the bed she cleaned this morning.

"Ah...I should have reprimanded him for covering me with cum while I was unconscious," an annoyed look on her face, she waited for him to come back.

Nolan entered the room, his hands holding an ancient-looking book. sitting down next to her on the bed, he presented her with the book.

"Here, try to read it," Nolan didn't check the book after the first few weeks of owning it, aside from the weird letters written on it that he could understand, there was nothing that special about it.

Jane took the book and opened it, all she saw were unreadable letters, then she flipped a page, and more unreadable letters. closing the book on the third page, she passed it back to Nolan.

"It looks like children scratched it with a pen, you saying you can read that?" Jane looked at him skeptically.

"yeah with perfect clarity, here let me read it for you from the start," opening to the first page, Nolan was startled when his hands began to release green and blue light toward the book.

"Hey, what's wrong with your hands!?" Jane hurriedly asked, scooting back a little in shock.

"I don't know, It started doing this on its own!" Nolan replied a nervous look on his face. He tried to throw the book away, alarmed when it didn't let go of his hands.

He repeated the throwing motion, yet the book stuck to his hands, more green and blue light entering it, while it released white milky light.

"Why is the light increasing!? is it going to explode!?" Jane instantly left the bed, walking backward toward the door.

"Oh shit! Mom!! help me!!" Nolan was panicking, sweat dripping from his forehead for the first time in a long time.

"Uh... I think you can take it on, didn't you say you could destroy walls with your punch, it's probably not an explosion," As she said so, Jane hid behind the door, closing the door behind her, a centimeter of door open left for her to see.

The book's intensity of milky white light reached a new height, Nolan's heart filled with regret, betrayal, and reluctance,

"NOO!" He screamed when the milky light enveloped the room, blinding him.

...

Nolan opened his eyes, looked around the room, then looked at his hands. They were empty and looked normal.

"Nolan! Are you okay!?" Jane quickly opened the door, sighing a little when she saw he was fine.

"You left me to die on my own!" Nolan looked at her like a lost puppy, tears filling his eyes.

"Don't be so dramatic, Didn't you say the book was meant for you? why would it suddenly kill you?" Jane sat back down again, a playful smile on her face.

"Ah, that's true, you tricked me!" He frowned as he looked at her.

"Yeah yeah, so where did the book go?" Jane asked curiously.

"I'm not sure, it disappeared along with the light, it-" Nolan closed his eyes mid-talk, his eyes shaking and moving behind his eyelids.

"What is it?" She touched his cheek.

Nolan stayed quiet, his eyes still closed, a smile creeping up on his face.

Opening his eyes, he smiled widely,

"The book is in my head, and you won't believe how much stuff is written on it!" Nolan cackled, feeling intense happiness.

"What's written on it!?" Jane leaned onto him, a curious expression on her face.

"Everything." He smiled mysteriously.
