1 Mapoza and the battle of boredom

Mapoza, an angel was getting bored of life in heaven. Everything was white, no one ever saw god and obeyed those with higher status to them. She wanted something new and exciting to happen. Lucifer, the first fallen angel only does things when he knows he can gain from them. And as more time passed Mapoza seemed more and more anxious. Soon nothing amazed her and she grew closer and closer to joining Lucifer's band of mindless hunks. But just as Mapoza wings grew into a darker tinge something reminded her why she became an angel. So Mapoza went to the throne room where god was said to have been seated since the beginning of time and asked 'is there no way for heaven to have any excitement other than gaining a higher status or becoming an angel' but god just replied 'I always have a plan and if you truly believe than you should never doubt me.' A few millennia passed and Mapoza could take it no more, something had to change. So Mapoza went to talk to god one last time but never got the answer she wanted. It was then that her thoughts turned dark, she had had enough. The darker her thoughts became the darker her wings were, and as the darkness enveloped her wings she didn't regret her decision. At some point her wings had stopped turning black for they had turned the colour of a ravens. Pitch black. It was so dark you could probably see your soul if you stared hard enough. Her wings were long and travelled all the way to her feet giving of a dusty ravenous glow. To all the angels distaste her once luminous, iridescent wings were replaced with wings the same colour as Lucifer's. It was an achievement no other fallen angel had reached. All the others wings were of a lighter black than Lucifer's. Only she had become like Lucifer.

Without so much as a second glance Mapoza was cast out to join those of her kind. Lucifer was delighted to have obtained a new play thing. He believed he was infallible and irreplaceable, he thought his ideals and envisionments were better than gods and that he could take gods place on the throne. His 'infallible thinking and obtusely large ego' pushed him to challenge god for the throne. The outcome was only to have found himself cast out of heaven to become the first fallen angel and take the place as 'Satan, the king of hell'. And although god makes joining Lucifer sound like an atrocity, hell isn't as different from heaven as its put up to be.

The drastic change in temperature and environment was enough to stop Mapoza in her tracks. It was dark, obtuse, gloomy and desolate. There was no nice way to describe it; everything was brown, black, red or any other dark colour that crossed your mind. But Mapoza being so used to seeing everything in light saw everything in monotone first. Then gradually her eyes began to adjust and the colour came back into focus. She soon began to have regrets but it was too late for that. Even though god was supposed to be the most benevolent and forgiving entity he never allowed a fallen angel to return the ranks of a normal angel. She missed heaven and although she knew she could never regain the position of an angel or return to being an angel she set her sights on being as good as possible to make up for her past mistakes. Slowly as she began to degrade she started to reminisce on the small things she shouldn't have done instead of making the best of her situation.
