'Yes' As I said that i could feel that my chakra was more malleable. Instead of just turning my chakra into a rod with a blunt edge or a rod with a rod with a sharp edge i felt i could change their shape more. And then the stat boost hit me. The stat boost was the best thing i've ever felt. The feeling of getting stronger, faster, smarter. It was the best. As I'm reveling in the feeling of even a small amount of newfound power i hear a knock on my door. It was the Orphanage Matriarch. "Kuro, Lord Kazekage wants to see you, he has sent someone to get you. "Okay thankyou, I'll head out now." As I head out of the orphanage I see none other than Kankuro waiting for me. 'shit, I didn't think the consequences of today through! I showed a new Kekkei Genkai, and i befriended the Kazekage's son. I might possibly be fucked here. Lets hope he doesn't decide I'm a threat and decide to kill me.' "Hi Kankuro! Are you my guide?"
"Yes I am, Lets go I don't have all day."
I try my best to make some small talk but he was not having it. He was being a big grump, probably because he was asked to do this when he wants to do something else. I'm basking in the warm air of the desert as today was one of those perfect not too warm days. Before i know it we reach the Kazekage's office and i cant help but gulp nervously. I mean, my life could end here today if i make one wrong move. Kankuro leaves and I knock on the door and wait.
"Come in" I hear a smooth voice respond to my knocking.
I enter and the Kazekage looks and me and says" Ah Rokuro. Good to see you here on time. I'm not one for too many formalities so lets get down to business. I hear you have a Kekkei Genkai?"
"Yes sir."
"Can you show it to me?"
I push a chakra rod out of my hand and grab it.
"Here you go Kage-sama"
I hand him the rod and he notices that a small amount of his chakra is constantly seeping out into the rod.
"Fascinating. Its taking my chakra. Do you have a name for these and can you tell me what they can do? None of this will leave this room so you can rest assured that your secrets wont be released." He says as he waves the anbu out of the room.
"Well, I don't really have a name for it i guess? I just call them chakra rods. But my chakra forms these black constructs that i can turn into pretty much whatever I want, granted its not too big, i don't have that much control over them yet. They are just strong malleable rods that continuously seep a small amount of chakra.
"Ah yes. Simple but very effective. Now i heard that you made friends with Gaara? Why?"
"He just looked lonely sir. I thought maybe he was shy or something so i decided to try and be his friend."
"No ulterior motives?"
"No Kage-sama"
"Ok you may leave."
'That's it? i just get to leave?' "Yes Kazekage-sama"
I leave but unnoticed by me, his entire demeanor changes. He wasn't in the anime much so i didn't know much about his personality. Just that he tried to kill gaara and was surprised gaara became Kazekage and had friends. Going off the anime he was an asshole that tried to protect the village, like a Danzo out in the open.
"Follow the boy. Make sure he has no ulterior motives with the monster."
--Gaara Pov--
'I hope Rokuro shows up soon.'
"Hey Gaara!"
I look up and i see Rokuro running towards me with a smile on his face.
"Rokuro!"
They meet up in the middle of the playground and start chatting. "Hey Gaara?"
"Yes Rokuro?"
"Wanna play tag?"
"Really?"
"Yeah!"
"Lets go!"
"Tag you're it!" I say as i tap his shoulder and run off. That evening you could see what looked like two young boys running around the village giggling and playing around bringing smiles to the faces of the villagers until they realized who was giggling and playing around. This even brought a smile to the anbu's face who was supposed to follow them. The next day at the academy gaara sits next to rokuro and they are pretty much attached at the hip at this point. Rokuro was happy as he didn't really make a friend till now, and gaara was happy to finally have someone in his life that doesn't look at him like he is the scum of the earth.

'Oh shit! those rewards are amazing! Im going to train so that those stats are more effective.
After the academy day was over he asked gaara. "Gaara im going to become a strong ninja. To do that i must train lots. Chakra, Chakra control, speed strength, all that. Would you like to join?
"Yes i would like to join! I want to become strong right alongside you!"
So they started training, and training, and training some more to become strong.
The next day.
"Ok gaara. To start training we must know our limits, so we can make effective training plans. So lets start with running. I know where my limits lie, but not yours. So we will run till you drop, and then start trying to run further and further each time, breaking our limits and increasing your overall effectiveness."
'In the anime, gaara was severely malnourished as a child, hindering what could have been, a much more fruitful childhood. I guess i'll need to start taking care of his food needs. Which means learning how to cook.

After running for an hour, we made it about halfway around the perimeter, and that was with me encouraging him on the entire time. I decide to treat gaara on a meal from one of the restaurants in the village because the kid deserved a good meal. After his meal i sent off to make a training plan.
(A.N this will contain some bullshit fitting for the physiques of the naruto world. as i am not a personal trainer)
I tie my hair up into a messy bun and get to work literally planning out my life schedule along with gaara's throughout the night. it goes like this
5-6 get up and go help the matron cook breakfast for the orphans
6:01 - 7:00: Eat, shower, go to academy.
7:01-2:30: Academy
2:35-3:00: Run with gaara
3:00-3:10 break.
3:11-3:30 spar with gaara
3:31-5:00 stamina training with gaara
5:01-7:00 study with gaara.(weapons, tactics, medical plants, anything i can get my hands on to teach him.)
7:01-7:05 get to orphanage before curfew
7:06-7:30 eat
7:31-10:00 study so i can teach gaara.
10:01-5:00 sleep.
My schedule pretty much revolves around training. After cooking with the matron for three weeks i finished my quest.

I got my skill and instantly i feel like i can cook much better than i was before.
So became my life for the next couple years. Training, training, and more training.
