117 Storytelling time

Clara couldn't utter a word as Adrian didn't give her a chance to oblige and looked away. 

Adrian was pissed by her reaction. He could tell that she had forgotten about it and was ready to reject him. But he didn't give her the time to think and concluded his decision. 

'Why does she always have to give me that look' Adrian complained inwardly and didn't speak a word after that.

Soon they reached the penthouse and Adrian stepped out without paying a glance at Clara.

Clara paused watching him leave just like that but she didn't dwell her thoughts on his cold reaction and followed him inside.

Watching Adrian making his way upstairs to his room, Clara then decided to check on Leo. He was not only Adrian's butler but also the only housekeeper. He was a man with talents that surprised Clara since the first day she met him.

"Uncle, we are home. Do you need any help?" Clara said with a smile entering the kitchen area where Leo was busy working.
