What happened???

Yu Chen: "Hello, Zenghai. What's up?"

But no answer came from the other end. Yu Chen said again, "Hello? Zenghai???? Maybe he called me by mistake." She was about to cut the call when Huo Zenghai's worried voice came from the other end.

"Chen, Chen. Did.....did you hear?" He sounded very shaken up.

Upon hearing his voice, Si Xia also got worried and said, "What? What should she hear?"

Huo Zenghai: "Xia? You're there too? Good. That's good."

Yu Chen cut him, "What should I have heard?"

Huo Zenghai: "Kio, he.....he..."

Si Xia: "Come on, speak Zenghai. Speak!!!!"

Huo Zenghai: "Kio got into an accident."

Yu Chen: "What?"

Si Xia: "How do you know?"

Huo Zenghai: "It's all over the news. 'The young master of the Mo family in a terrible accident.' I'm heading to the hospital now, you guys should come too."

Si Xia: "Which hospital?"

Huo Zenghai: "The same one in which Hua is admitted. Star hospital."

Si Xia: "We're on our way." Xia cut the call and looked at Chen who was in a daze.

He took her hand upon which she seemed to return to the present. She stammered, "How....how could....I was...was just with...."

Si Xia began walking quickly, pulling her behind him. He said, "No time. Let's go to the hospital first. And get a grip, Chen."

These words made Yu Chen realised how like a child she was acting. She always pretended to be calm, but in the face of danger, she lost all reason and was like a little scared girl. The same thing happened when Hua got into that accident.

They all panicked and Si Xia had to take care of them all. Thinking this, Chen took a few deep breaths and calmed herself. She got out her phone and said, "I'll call Mian. Kio went to the apartment for dinner. Mian must have some idea."

Si Xia nodded as he flagged down a cab. Yu Chen called Mian as the two got in.

Mian picked up the call and her tone clearly told Xia and Chen that she was unaware of anything that had happened. Mian said, "Hi sis. Where are you?"

Yu Chen trued to calm herself so as not to startle Mian and said, "Is Kio there?"

Mian: "Kio? No. He left after having dinner. It was so unbelievably awkward between us. Sis , how could you send....."

Yu Chen cut in before she could finish, "Okay. Now Mian, maybe I'll stay tonight with Hua. Don't worry about me and go to sleep. I've had dinner. And remember to lock the door."

Mian: "Did something happen to Hua?"

Chen: "No. She just needs someone to talk to. I might come back, Xia will drop me. Don't worry and go to sleep."

Mian: "Okay sis. Take care."

Yu Chen cut the call and let out a long sigh. Si Xia said, "That was a clever thing."

Yu Chen closed her eyes and said, "Yeah. I could not have her worrying if I did not return or returned late. And definitely did not want her to roam about searching for me during the night."

Si Xia patted her head, "Don't worry. I'm sure Kio is just fine."
