She blushed beetroot red and huffed, "What is this guy thinking?"

Chen put away her mobile and focused on the event, which was about to start.

Si Xia smiled as he also put away his phone. He was also turning into a bit of a devil under Chen's influence.

The event started and Yu Chen enjoyed the different performances and cheered for the awards she thought the people who got deserved and grumbled when someone got an award who she didn't think they deserved it.

The Si Corporation got many awards in the online games sector.

They received an award for the best new game that Huo Zenghai had designed and the Si Corporation had recently launched.

Si Corporation also received the award for the best online game, which was the first game they had launched, the one Yu Chen had designed for the competition seven years ago.

Chen didn't believe people were still playing that game, let alone that it was the best game till now.

It was almost the end of the event and a dance performance by a new actor ended.

He had recently debuted and his fame had instantly skyrocketed.

Chen clapped loudly as the actor bowed and went away.

His performance was succeeded by a popular singer who sang a song which was very popular these days. Chen started to hum with the singer and before she knew it, she was singing loudly enough that the people around her shushed her.

Yu Chen was embarrassed as she hung her head and listened to the song. Singing in public when you weren't supposed to and annoying people was embarrassing enough, but Chen was completely tone deaf on top of that.

But soon, Chen's bad mood was dispelled as the singer sang all of her favourite songs one after the other. It was almost like the playlist had been specifically engineered for her.

The loudest cheer of the whole night rung throughout the venue as the singer ended her performance.

Yu Chen was among the people who clapped the loudest and stopped last. She had really loved the singer's performance and was a little worried if Si Xia was nervous hearing a professional singer right before he had to sing.

Chen looked towards his seat and found Xia staring fixedly at the stage. She whipped out her phone and texted him, 'I'm here.'

These were two simple words. There was nothing special about them. Si Xia already knew she was here. Chen waited but didn't get a reply.

Thinking she had just added to Xia's nervousness, she face-palmed and slipped her phone back in her pocket, internally scolding herself.

Si Xia was indeed getting a bit nervous as the decided time approached. He wasn't worried about not being able to match upto that singer's voice, he couldn't care less about that.

Xia was worried that he would mess up and everything would go wrong with Zenghai's proposal. Suddenly, his phone buzzed.

Xia's eyes melted as he looked at the text. The two simple words. They meant too much for him. All he had wanted ever was for Yu Chen to be there with him.
