How much a person can change

"I would have slapped you if you were my sister. But you are not. You are Chen's. And I know how much she loves you." Hua said. "How can you even believe that Chen would do this?! Huh Mian?? Don't you know your sister even one bit?!?!?!?!"

"I thought I knew her." Yu Mian replied, freeing herself from Xi Hua's grasp. "But now I know how much a few years can change a person." "Mian listen to me. This guy is lying. What really happened was that. . . . . " Yu Chen began, but Mian cut in between. "Don't sis. Just Don't." she said, shaking her head. "Isn't it enough that you've turned into such a wh*re?!?!? You really want to become a liar now too?!?!?!"

Chen had tears in her eyes upon hearing this. Even Xi Hua stood still as stone, not believing that it really was Yu Mian, that little girl who had once loved nothing more in the world than her sister. Getting no reaction from them, Mian turned and held Mo Qian's arm. "Let's go." she said. But he was apparently not done, because the guy shook his head and said, "I can't date someone who has such vile family. I don't think I can, knowing what this bi*ch did."

Mian turned her head to look at Chen, and her eyes were filled with so much hatred that Chen felt like someone had punched her in the stomach. She felt the air go out of her lungs and her legs turned to jelly as Yu Mian said, "She is no sister of mine." before walking away with Mo Qian.

Yu Chen had no idea how long she stood there. She only snapped back to reality when Xi Hua lightly touched her on the shoulder and spoke, "Chen?" Chen blinked and looked around, as if waking up from a dream. "They left. I'm so sorry Chen. Oh I'm so sorry." Hua said, hugging her and rubbing her back. Her voice broke and tears began to spill from her eyes. It was then that Chen realized that she was crying too. She wiped away her tears and said, "Sorry? Why are you sorry? It's not your fault."

Xi Hua pulled back and looked at Chen. "What do you want to do?" she asked, "Do you want to follow them? I can ask Zenghai to track. . . . . ." Hua began, but Chen shook her head and said, "I don't want to. I don't think I can see such hate in Mian's eyes again. Let's just go home."

Hua, not knowing what else to do, nodded and got her car. The two girls climbed in the car and they drove off in silence. Only once during the whole ride did Xi Hua try to break the silence. "Don't blame yourself Chen, it's not your fault." she said.

But all she got in reply was a little, "Isn't it?" from Yu Chen's expressionless face as she stared out of the window.

Xi Hua was getting more worried with every second and by the time they reached back to Chen's apartment, she practically wanted to take Chen to the hospital to see if she was all right. But instead they both went in. "Hasn't changed very much since I moved out right?" Xi Hua said looking around.
