How have you been?

Yu Mian mercifully put out the cigarette when she saw Chen and Hua approaching. Her face lit into one of those radiant smiles that Chen loved so much as she hugged Yu Chen first and then Xi Hua.

"Maybe she hasn't changed that much. It's probably the circumstances. Doesn't matter. I'll ask her to move in with me so that she can focus on being a writer. So that she can chase her dream." Yu Chen thought to herself as she hugged Mian back.

"Can't believe my little sister is all grow up!" Chen exclaimed, messing up Mian's hair with an excited smile. Yu Mian made a face and combed her hair with her fingers, complaining, "Don't do that sis! I had them styled just today!!" Yu Chen awkwardly smiled as she pushed her hands into the pockets of her hoodie and asked, looking around, "So, what have you been up to?"

Mian got very excited with this question and launched into a tale about how she had met the most handsome and rich guy while working here at the bar and how she had started dating him. She told them both that he was very considerate, was the younger brother of the man who owned the bar and always showered her with gifts.

Xi Hua and Yu Chen exchanged a quick look as Mian finished her speech. "That's really good Mian. But what is going on with you? Other than this guy?" Xi Hua asked.

Yu Mian waved her hand and said, "Oh nothing much. Just working and enjoying my life. What has been going on with you?!?! I know about Hua, everyone saw her getting engaged, but what about you sis?" Chen smiled and said, "A lot is going on with me. Why don't we go somewhere and talk? Or better yet, you both can come to my apartment and we can have a girls' night!!!"

Hua rolled her eyes with a smile and said, "Your apartment now, is it? But it really is a good idea. What do you say Mian?" Yu Mian looked a little uneasy as she said, "Actually. . . . . I'm waiting for my boyfriend here. We're going to his friend's party today. He said he'll pick me up after my shift. This is his car, actually." she added, gesturing towards the car she had been previously leaning on.

Yu Chen moved her attention to the car. It was a standard car which had recently gotten very popular among the people of upper class. Though it was new, anyone could see that the owner of the car did not take proper care of it, and was a rash driver. Because the car was dirty and looked in dire need of a service, and had scratches and bumps here and there.

"Oh it's no problem." Chen said, "Give me your number, and text me whenever you're free. We can hang out." Mian nodded and gave Chen her new number. "So, how's life been after returning back home sis?" Mian asked, slipping her phone in her purse.

"Oh it's been. . . . . " Chen began, but Mian cut in between as she exclaimed, "Oh look!! There he comes! The love of my life. Let me introduce you two." Saying this she rushed towards a man who had just come into the parking.
