Embarrassed Chen

Oreo let out a small purr and let himself be pulled along."You're getting so lazy. Can't even make an effort to crawl closer." Chen muttered.

Two minutes later . . . .

Yu Chen frowned when she saw Si Xia look up towards the door and speak something. Her eyes almost popped out of her sockets and she jumped to sit up properly upon seeing Xing Chuan at the bedroom door. He had Chen's laptop bag and some documents in his hand.

"Here you go, Miss Chen." "Also boss, these are some documents that need to be urgently reviewed. And the clients from . . . . " Yu Chen zoned the rest of the conversation out as she reached for her laptop. She was just so embarrassed right now, Xia could have at least given her a heads up that assistant Chuan was about to come. She would have sat up properly at the least, and he would not have found her sprawled on his boss's legs.

A snap right in front of her face brought Chen back to reality. "What?" she asked. "Why do you look like you want to dig a hole and disappear?" Si Xia said, chuckling upon seeing the expression on her face. Yu Chen huffed and crawled away from him as she said, "Because I do want to dig a hole and disappear." "Have you made it your life's mission to embarrass me?" she added, seeing Xia's amused expression.

Si Xia made a surprised face and said, "Who told you?" And "Oh come on. I'm sorry. I'm sorry." as Chen began to move away from him and begin to get up. "I was just kidding. Come on Chen. I could never embarrass you." he said, once he had gotten her securely in his arms. "It's just Chuang!" he added in a whine, seeing that she was still angry.

Yu Chen continued to pout and only stuck out a tongue as she wriggled free out of his grasp, and placed Oreo in between the two of them when he tried to hug her again. "Come on Chen. Will you treat your sweet, innocent poor hubby this way?" Si Xia said, making puppy eyes. "I wouldn't. If only my hubby was sweet and innocent." Chen replied with a huff.

She let out a laugh the next instant upon hearing Xia whisper to Oreo, "Notice how she didn't refute poor."

Yu Chen was highly focused on something on her laptop. She was typing away like crazy and muttering something about this would be done like this, here we need to assume failure, when she let out a sharp wail upon receiving a slap on the back.

"What?!?!" she snapped at Si Xia, who also happened to be the culprit. He rolled his eyes and said, "I'm almost sure that getting your laptop was a bad idea. Look how engrossed you are in it. Do you even have any idea about the time?"

Chen blinked and looked at her laptop clock. It was almost 5'o clock in the evening!! She had no idea where the time went!

Seeing her looking so shocked, Si Xia let out an exasperated sigh as he got up. "Come on," he said, "You've been staring at the screen for way too long. Think you'll be able to go for a walk?" Yu Chen frowned.
