Because I still love you like an idiot

"Huh? What?" Si Xia asked, turning around.

"I said I have to leave. I'm sorry for all the inconvenience I caused you." Yu Chen said to the floor, standing up.

Si Xia walked upto Chen and held her chin. He lifted up her face so that she was looking right into his eyes. "Don't go." Si Xia said, his magnetic voice pleading.

Yu Chen felt herself drowning in that immeasurable darkness. She felt that she could see deep into Xia's soul, and deep down somewhere he really did love her.

Chen shook her head as Si Xia blinked and looked away from his eyes, her chin still held firmly in Xia's hand. "I have to." Chen whispered, her voice almost pleading.

"Why?" Si Xia whispered, leaning closer to Chen's lips.

Yu Chen freed herself from his grasp and turned away. "Because I..." Chen's voice cracked upon saying this.

She took a minute to compose herself and then spoke, still not turning to face Si Xia, "Because... because I'm afraid that I won't be able to leave if stay here even a moment longer. I'm scared that I will go back to the pathetic clingy girl whose day brightened up upon getting a smile from you. And most of all, because I'm scared that I'll start hoping again....."

Yu Chen's voice cracked again by the time she finished and tears were spilling out of her eyes. She wiped them away and bolted towards the bedroom door, but Si Xia's strong arms wrapped around her waist from behind before she reached it.

Yu Chen stopped dead as Si Xia spoke, his voice also cracking, "Please, stay.....Chi Chi."

Chen was about to use her last ounce of strength to tear away from Xia when a shiver ran down her spine.

Si Xia had kissed the back of her neck and his tears fell on Chen's bare skin. And his next sentence broke down Yu Chen completely.

"Please Chen. If you love me. No, if you ever loved me. Please, at least listen to me." Si Xia said, his voice begging.

Yu Chen sighed and relaxed. She let herself melt into Xia's embrace.

Feeling it, Si Xia exclaimed, "You'll stay Chen!?! You'll listen to me!!????"

Yu Chen let out a deep breath and unclasped his hands from around her. She turned with a defeated face, "Yes I'll stay. You know why? Because I'm an idiot. I still love you like an idiot. And I'll listen to whatever you have to say like an idiot."

Si Xia stared at Yu Chen. She looked disappointed. Whether by him, or by herself? Si Xia could not tell. "Yeah. We're both idiots." he muttered as he walked back to the bed and Yu Chen followed him.

Si Xia had realised something last night. When he had seen Yu Chen in that stranger's arms, he had realised that he would never be able to let her go. He needed her, like air to breathe. He had actually changed his past so that he could be with her, so how had he been able to think that he would be able to give up so easily on Yu Chen?

So Si Xia had decided to tell everything to Chen, everything from his talk with Sam to why he acted the way he acted.

And no matter what Chen decided, he was going to fight.
