Lu Chen sighed as he entered,

"Welcome to the best antique shop on the street! You can only find the best of the best antiques here!" The clerk had a big grin as he explained.

"I'm going to look around first and see what I like." Lu Chen coolly said as he looked around. There are so many knockoff goods. From a glance alone, he could tell a majority of the things in the shop were counterfeit.

But those weren't the things he was focused on. The thing he wanted to find was a pendant.

As he thought about it, he looked in every direction. And he saw it on a counter.

A white jade pendant with dragon and tiger carvings on it. You wouldn't think much about it from a glance. Everyone would think it would be a simple necklace.

However, this was made out of high-quality white jade. It was from the Qin dynasty too.

"How much would this pendant be?" Lu Chen said as he picked up the jade. This was the only thing he had to get.

"You have a fine eye, young man! That pendant is one of a kind and the best jade material to make it! And you will only need to pay 2000 yuan!" The clerk said with a smile.

"..." You say that it's one of a kind, but why is it sold at such a small price? It was a contradiction.

Heh. This kid doesn't even know it is just some ordinary jade!

"That's nothing." Lu Chen didn't think about it as he handed 2000 yuan to him instantly.

"Thank you for your purchase!" The clerk's face brightened up by a mile! Steal! What an idiot! He thought he got a steal from that necklace.

As Lu Chen left the shop, an elderly man entered the building. The two passed by each other. And the elder asked the clerk,

"Is the pendant still here?" He asked. And the expression on the clerk's face turned wry,

"I'm sorry, sir. But I have already given the pendant to that gentleman over there." The clerk explained as he pointed to Lu Chen. And the elder looked at Lu Chen,

"Hello, elder." Lu Chen bowed slightly at him. The elder nodded as he asked, "Young man, how much do you want for that pendant?"

Lu Chen shook his head, "Sorry, but I have no plans on selling the pendant." There were no plans to sell it. It was a ticket to have a connection with the Bai family.

"1 million yuan." The elder said confidently. The clerk, who heard this price, was surprised. 1 million? The elder was willing to pay that much while the kid paid 2000 yuan!

Lu Chen shook his head, "I'm sorry. I'm still not going to sell the pendant. And I'm pretty sure you know the value of the necklace."

1 million wasn't going to be enough.
