1 Chapter 1

A/N: Yes this is set in a parallel universe. Some groups will exist in different forms. Such as Anti-skill being a world wide police branch.

Yuki thought about all those times he had wished for powers. Thinking back, life was so mundane before the change happened. He sat on top of the school roof as a flapping sound was heard. He turned around as he looked at the figure "Oh Kakine, what are you doing here?"

The white wings faded as he landed on the ground. "What's wrong? Can't visit a friend now?" Yuki sighed as he shook his head. "Anyways, we should get ready for class. See ya." Yuki leaned back on the school roof as he slowly fell down.

Kakine followed suit as they both looked at each other and nodded. Yuki watched as he simply changed the force of gravity acting upon him before using the air resistance as a softening force as he landed on the ground as the air resistance spread into a gust of wind.

Kakine opened his wings as he flapped once before landing. The two walked together to class and frankly neither had a care in the world.

"Rank Status."

A panel appeared as it displayed all the espers in the world according to their rank. They were all ranked according to ability and power. There were also sub categories of rank.

[Level 1]

Yuki and Kakine belonged to the level 5 category. In total in the world, there were only 7 level 5's. It did not really help that Japan had two level 5's and at that. The first ranked and the second ranked were also friends. Naturally that in itself made Japan a powerful country, if they could control them.

Sadly Yuki and Kakine were not ones to take order's from the governing board as they did what they pleased but didn't break any moral rules. Kakine sighed as he sat next to Yuki "This is so boring."

Yuki looked at him as his red eyes dug into Kakine "You know you probably jinxed us right? With us being the top two espers in the world." A loud explosion resounded outside their classroom as he groaned "Really? What is with your luck?" Kakine shrugged as he grinned "You want me to take care of it?"

Yuki shook his head "I need to shake off some rust." He plugged in his earphones which were connected to his mp3 player that was in a choker style. He opened the window as his teacher yelled at him. "Stop it!" He looked at the teacher before waving.

He leaned backwards as he fell out of the window before landing on the ground softly. Wind blew everywhere from the contact point of his foot as he looked around at the group. "So you're the ones causing this ruckus huh?"

A group of people were wearing bullet proof vests coupled with guns. Yuki looked at them before yawning. "Can we get this over with? I got lunch in like..." He took a look at his phone before answering "2 minutes, so chop chop." They fired on him as the bullets bounced back into their guns and cause explosions or entered there own bodies all while Yuki was yawning.

"Oi Kakine, go on first, also get my usual, I'll pay you back!" Kakine smiled and grinned before shouting at the others "So long nerds!" He quickly rushed to the canteen as the others registered what had happened and also rushed trying to get the usual early special, which usually only Yuki and Kakine were guaranteed one.

Yuki kept on listening to the music as he paused it by clicking on the top of the battery. "Alright my turn." He stomped his foot down amplifying the magnitude of the force as rubble spread everywhere.

The group screamed in pain as rubble was sent flying in various directions. Yuki made sure to calculate everything perfectly so that they would only be injured but not killed. He looked at the dust only to see a bullet fly towards him and reflected back into the perpetrator's leg.

He screamed in pain as Yuki got on the phone and looked at the damages before looking at the group and calling for a clean up crew. He sighed, while Level 5's were rich as hell and got paid to breathe, he still did not like spending on useless things that didn't interest him.

He finished the call as they arrived after he sent the money over before walking towards the cafeteria. Kakine sat there waiting for him while having fun with his dark matter.

Everyone turned to the two as they sat down.

They were the top two espers in the world. Both were friends, normally Level 5's were quite competitive and sort of mentally unstable due to the competitiveness yet these two were friends and that made them a threat to other groups.

Yuki kept munching on his pork cutlet bowl as Kakine was finishing his soda. "Ugh I've been thinking..." Yuki nodded as he listened on "Go on, usually everything that comes outta your mouth is interesting." Yuki was now onto his black coffee. "How about we make a group?" Yuki almost spat out his coffee as he coughed before slapping his hand on his chest as he amplified the impact to guide the coffee to where it was supposed to go.

Kakine cackled as he grinned "Wouldn't it be funny? First ranked esper dies to suffication by coffee?" Yuki glared at him "Alright now get to the point." Kakine snorted before elaborating. "So I've been thinking, it's boring so terribly boring. We're stuck in school so how about we make a club so we can do whatever we want?"

Yuki thought for a bit before asking "So what's the group gonna be for?"

Kakine thought for a bit.

"Hmm."

"Didn't think that far ahead!" He grinned as he looked at Yuki who slammed his head on the table resulting in the table breaking instead of his head.

"We're Level 5's and the top two at that. Yet we can't even find a solution to boredom?"

"Boredom."

"I got it!" Kakine sprang up as he grinned "How about an after school group to take care of bounties?" Yuki sprang up "Extra income?" Kakine slapped him on the head as his wrist sprung back in pain as he howled in pain.

"You idiot."

Kakine sighed "Well we get to use our powers more often plus get some extra income to buy a house for the whole group to live in." Yuki sighed "Alright I'm in." Kakine smiled before rushing off to complete the form. Yuki was thinking intensely as he simulated various outcomes from the governing board.

Most likely they would try to get them to do their dirty work or try get them into a contract. Making them indentured workers.

He slumped onto his desk as he grabbed a strand of his hair and began playing with it.
