Chapter Eleven

"Wahh!The palace looks like they came out from a fairytale book!" Rose peeked out the carriage, her eyes twinkling everytime a firework was lit and exploded in the sky.

"Watch out your head you pink dumbo," Alex scolded the youngest sibling, grabbing her by the shoulder and pulled her back inside the carriage.

"Dad!Alex is calling me a dumbo again!"

She huffed, glaring at Alex.

"Don't fight and behave like your brother." Oliver Calmly said, flipping a page of the book he's reading.

"Don't look at me like that." Caspian surrender his hands in the air, seeing his two younger sibling glared at him.

"Behave?Dad did you know I saw him flirting with a boy!" Rose pointed a finger at him, smirking at her 'victory' she did there when in fact she didn't do anything.

"No were not.Do you even know ehat flirting is?"

"You hug each other!Isn't that flirting?"

Caspian saw his Father glanced up from the book and stared at him, he felt like his Father know what happened, Norman was his spy that he planted next to him, monitoring each movement he did.

"So you also flirt with Jenny because you hug her." Alex defending his older brother.

"Can you two stop?I'll let Norman drag both of you back to the manor."

Caspian sighed in relief, finally having the carriage peacefully quiet and avoided the part of flirting.

The carriage stop,"We have arrived,"Norman voiced out from the outside.

Placing the book down, Oliver fixed his tie and roam his eyes around the three children infront of him. They looked decent from what they were wearing, they were supposed to look fancy, having the duke status they have.

"Before we go outside, I want the three of you in their best behavior.We are meeting the Crown Prince and also the future emperor of the empire.We don't want to get in trouble okay?"

"Yes Sir!"

"I'm your father."

"Yes Dad!"

Just as expected, Gwen was there standing outside the golden big date that towered most of the manor by now.Her appearance really made her really stood out from the rest, most of the people who entered can't hrlp but looked at her.

"Sister Gwen!" Rose yelled out, waving out her hand just as she step out from tha carriage.

"Slow down!" Alex yelled, catching her before she fell off from the carriage due to the height.

Gwen run up to them,"Are you okay?"

She crouched down a little, eyes roaming around the tiny figure infront of her.

"I'm okay!Brother save me before I fall."

She cheekily smiled, Alex pinch her cheek,"You already forgot what Dad said."

"Alex, you take care of your little sister.Gwen, it's nice to see you again."

Father came down next,"I heard you and Caspian went to buy clothes for tonight evening."

Gwen nodded,"Yes Duke Oliver, we were actually three people who were in the shop."

Oliver got curious,"Three people?"

Caspian shake his head, Gwen saw this and a sly grin came to her face,"Yes, he said he is Caspian friend.He was the one who gave the hair clip to him."

"I thought so," Oliver cleared his throat, glancing beside at his young child.Caspian only gave him a force smile, before grabbing Gwen.

"Me and Gwen should go ahead first, it looks like someone wants to talk to you Father." Caspian pointed at the family coming up to them.

Oliver nodded,"Rose and Alex stay beside me.You two should go,"

Gwen and him quickly escaped and entered the Palace gate.They saw candles floating in the air, chairs and a few tables moving around the air with some magician at the side waving their wands around.

The Palace is also lit up with different colors, the flowers that were originally a bland color also made a huge transformation with them glowing light and conplimenting the neatly trimmed garden.

"It's been a few years since I saw the Palace being so lively."Gwen said, she went near one of the lantern at the side and poked them.

"Don't touch anything Gwen, what if you accidently destroyed it, do you know how much a single furniture cost belong to the Royal Family?" Grabbing her by the arm, she drag him inside the core of the Palace.

"Jeez calm down.What are we hurrying anyway?It's not like it's going to start yet."

She crossed her arms by the chest.

"Please make way for the Royal Family!"

On cue, the people that were standing in the middle and stepping on the red carpet scurried away from the scene and planted theirself at the corner.

Caspian looked at Gwen, raising his eyebrow."You just literally said a minute ago that the event is not going to start yet."

"I jinx it."

The huge white door open at the end of the room, a red carpet starting brfore the door.

"There here!" One of the people yelled in the crowd, due to their both small height, they squeezed their way in the front.

Nathaniel and Irene standing by each other, their two arms locked together eith the Empress waving her hand to the people.Her black hair wavily followed her movement behind and her green eyes smiling.The Emperor stood beside her coldly, but it didn't stop his aura from dominating the whole place, his cold piercing gold eyes and gold hair were keeply pushed back from behind..

Arriving at the front of the room, each family member of the Royal stood infront of their seat.Though the two couple only have one child, and that is the Crown Prince who is evidently missing from the scene.

"The two really looks together!"

"I even heard that the Empress was only a servant before!I also want to be a servant and meet the Crown Prince!What if the two of us fell in love at first sight?!"

"Shh!Keep your voice down!You don't want Young Lady Valerie here what you just said!"

"Why?"

"There were rumours that the Young Lady Valerie is childhood friends with the Crown Prince and she liked him for a long time!"

Valerie?

Valerie, the only childhood friend of the Crown Prince.It was also mentioned in the book that Valerie and Arthur were onced engaged to each other, but it was called off suddenly.It didn't even explained why it happened.

"Valerie?" Gwen mumbled, she knew that name is familiar, hearing it from both of her parents while eating.

"Wait, that's the Crown Prince?!"

On cue, the sound of the piano clashing with people's murmur and suprises gasp.

Both standing at the front, they saw anothee silhoutte at the distant.

Gold striking hair, gold eyes that seem to glow under the million lights inside the ballroom, wearing a white suit and those long legs striding forward into the front where the Royal Couple is waitong for him to descend.

The only thing that Caspian can described these scene is that it's magical.Like the Castle that came from the fairy tale book, it also the image of the Crown Prince.

Seeing the familiar face, Gwen almost choked, if not for Caspian patting her back."Wait, isn't that friend of yours?!"

She yelled quietly beside him, eyes in furious glaze as she glared st him.

"Yeah, and I also didn't know that he was the Crown Prince." He replied, knowing that his friend is actually the Crown Prince, it still shook him a little.
