what happened?

A gruff voice was heard in a familiar mountain, sounding slightly happy. "It seems you have finally reincarnated after all these years old rival, and it seems that you made my successor, your successor, not that I mind, it will only make him more powerful and cancel out the negative effects we have in each other" the voice said, staring at something at the sky, and even if others couldn't see from up there, he clearly day a white phoenix with dark tipped feathers fly downwards, almost like a meteor

Closer to the supposed cut in reality was a man who's looks screamed main character because he was, he looked ahead with his enhanced eyesight seeing multiple humans fighting for a carriage, the one's closer to it trying to stop others from taking it, inside said carriage was a fast man with a perfect face, not as perfect as mine but still not bad, however his fat body ruined that look, he seemed to be greedily hugging the carriage, as if it was his own child, he looked up, trying to focus on something other than the fight around him to be less fearful

However after looking up the man was surprised, above him was a  white dot, in the night sky, he became mesmerised seeing it, as if he was in a trance, he stared at it not noticing that it was getting bigger as time passed on, however others saw him and looked up too, and soon everyone was looking at the dot glowing larger, all that was needed was 20 seconds for all that to happen, and then they lost their vision, no, not just that, they lost all feeling, as if they stopped existing in the living world

Shin looked ahead of him, a large boom and a flash of bright light shone, surprising all that where watching but it was still not blinding, almost every watcher, the animals, even humans that are further away, see it and where confused on how they weren't blinded, however some of them noticed something, a shroud of darkness surrounding said light, dulling it enough that one could still see even if they directly stared at it, however the light only lasted for a few seconds before disappearing, Hikari just flew back to Shin and they walked ahead, as if they didn't just cause the death of somebody, and they held no remorse, not looking at the smoking hole they created

A while after Shin left, many people flocked to the scene, some wearing armour, offers wearing cloaks, but one thing was clear, they were all strong when compared to humans, some if them even reeked of death, showing just how many times they escaped those grim clutches, however one thing was clear to be seen, the majority of people were male, after all men were more likely to be fit biologically, having a physical advantage, however that doesn't make them superior to women, as woman had the advantage over the magic field, balancing them, men were still more likely to become adventurers though

Some of them looked in the still smoking hole, unable to see last the impenetrable smoke wall, curious but fearful, one of them that looked stronger than most of the others said "alright everyone, the b and c rank party's stay here, c ranks at the back, b ranks in the front, d and e ranks you will explore the area for clues of what could've caused this, if you find a lead report it to anyone who has a green bandana on his arm, they will be able to immediately send it to the main guild who will then decide what to do, and if you're attacked escape, while we can defend the sides, underground is still a problem, so don't be foolish, now scatter" the presumed leader said, making everyone else scatter and search, since even if the hole wasn't big the light that caused it must have been caused by a terrifying creature

They kept searching and the only thing they found where carriage and human footprints, but since no monsters or any other species had these features, and if it was humans there would be a trace of magic, but there wasn't, which means that something either completely used the magic they released, which is impossible for humans from what they know, sure their are those who surpass others, but humans shouldn't have the strength to cause this destruction through physical brute force, to most of their knowledge, so there must be something else that's involved in the light that shined from above and crashed, creating a ball of light

They searched for hours, even K rank adventurers, the lowest rank, who normally picked up the skill to find something, which they picked up from several missions that most of them will lose when they do more missions which don't involve searching, even those adventurers who sometimes called the Gods of normal detection, couldn't find them, so when the 15 hour mark was over, the previously introduced leader gave a speech told everyone "thank you for your hard work, we might not have found clues on the ground but that just confirms that whatever did that was a flying species that can use that much force, now that enough time has passed that thick smoke is also about to clear, so we shall watch what's inside it it"

Everyone was curious, but they couldn't see that was going to happen, seeing that, the leader stabbed his sword in the ground, making it shake, platforms rose, with people on them, allowing the people to look at the smoke from below, minutes passed, and all the smoke was clear, and what was inside surprised most people

They expected to see destruction, maybe a beast, but it was an inverted dome, they were questioning how it was there, it should have been covered by the sand, but one of them went close to it and touched it, "it's glass" he said, surprising the ones that heard him, after all glass wasn't that clear normally it wouldn't be this clear, especially in a place like this

All of them had a similar thought to this discovery "what could've made this" but they knew whatever it was, to have made a perfect dome must have very high control in whatever method they used to do it, but what happened for them to do it?
