the hero of light

While the hungry beasts eyes stared at his image, Shin shivered, but thinking it was nothing he got up, looking at Char who explained to him about some more things, but Shin decided to ask him one thing out of curiosity "what do you think a soul is?"

Surprised by the sudden question about souls, Char closed his eyes and thought about it, than said "The manifestation of a person, their life, past, present, and future, what they where, are, and will become, or to put it simply, we are the soul" he says confidently

Shin looked at him and smiled, knowing that he was correct, and acknowledged him more, afterall, this man explained something simple In a simple way, explained it so we it's easier to understand, and ended it with the simple answer, her was truly a smart man, as instead of what a normal person who would try to explain something in a complicated way with no base, Char began with the base of "the manifestation of a person" and expanded on that, letting the one who hears the explanation understand it well

"That's enough for now, let's go back up" Char told Shin and walked back to the entrance "by the way, here" he continues and throws a blank card in a gold case that only showed a tiny red crystal to be uncovered "prick you finger, do blood, blah blah blah, you'll be automatically registered" he finishes and they finally reach outside after waking for a while, and the ever so curious Ember looked at her father with a questioning gaze, however, next to her was an unknown man, dining light yellow armour that stood out compared to the silver armour of the knights, and it's look was only rivalled by Embers own

Shin took a closer look at the man, who has light skin, was tall and masculine, and what did it the most was good shining yellow hair, smooth as silk  reaching up to his shoulder, being just perfect, and then his gleaming eyes, it was as if you were looking directly into the light of the sun, I'm all its glory, only without being blinded by it, giving of a sense of comfort and peace, as if you could just lay and feel it so day, satisfaction filling your body to the point where even if you died, you would have no qualms about it, just looking at him would make woman fall for him and make men question their own sexuality

"Yo mr sun, how you doing raising from the darkness and giving ev-" Char said but didn't finish because he was hit by Ember whose face was red from shame and anger, as if someone took her nudes and have put to the dirtiest men and she found out about it, however she wasn't as angry as she was ashamed from her father's behaviour

"Father, stop, the Hero is a respectable man and a friend, don't embarrass yourself" she told him, although to him, who knew his daughter well, it sounded more like a plea, but Char being Char did the Char move

"Mou" he pouted like a child, sitting and drawing circles on the floor, and instantly losing any respect Shin had for him

"My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined" shin said plainly, letting everyone clearly hear him, and Ember looked at Shin with a look that said "same

"How could I have been betrayed like this, by my own brother, my heart aches as if it was stabbed ruthlessly by a cold blooded killer having nothing but enjoyment from the pain he c-" Char said but was once again stopped, this time by Shin who just threw the man in the guild, deciding not to bother with him anymore

"Now that he's gone, who are you?" Shin asked golden hair, who was gonna be called that until his name is given

"I'm Solaris, or Sol, the hero of light, nice to meet you sir, hope we can become friends" Sol told Shin, and although he was trying to be humble, a heroic aura surrounded him, along with light, with his perfect voice, as if a God spoke, and his talent which was only rivalled by his hard work, he was just the perfect man, his perfectness only rivalled by Ember, but unlike Ember, he had the sunlight glowing behind him, looking even better as the sun was setting, and all he did was a simple respectful thing, showing no pride, he put his hand forward

Shin looked at Sol and nodded "I'm Shin" he said, and grabbed the man's hand for a simple, firm, and respectful three second handshake

Three hours passed, and the sun finally set, Shin was sitting, looking at the stone arena ahead of him, next to him was Char, who had some tape wrapped around his mouth and was inside a box, of course he could see through the box, but to everyone else he was invisible

In the arena was Ember and Sol, both having a completely serious look, Embers legs where diagonally apart, however they didn't  pass her shoulders, she kept her double edged training sword in front of her, holding it right with two hands, ready to strike her opponent, she had nothing else but her armour and clothes underneath, not knives, poison, nothing that she could use to cheat, as she wanted to respect her opponent

Sol was in a similar stance, although his legs where further apart, and he held his wooden training sword with one hand, unlike his previous kind smile, he had a stoic face, one that showed how serious he took this fight they are about to have, the moon shined on him, his hair glowing slightly, as a strand of it faced forward, like it was pointing ahead, he truly looked like a hero

Shin looked at them, and just felt like a side character, but he knew that their fight was gonna be entertaining, so he didn't cry and just looked ahead, waiting for the match to begin, and when a cloud moved completely revealing the moon, Ember leapt ahead
