5 First blood, and a drinking buddy!

As we made our way to the execution Luffy made note of Coby. Who for some reason was still with us. "Oi. Coby, leave. We're heading to fight with the marines. Go back to the bar. I hope you turn out to be one of the good ones."

"See ya kid. Be strong so you don't ever have to take orders you don't think are right." I say giving Coby one last look.

"Luffy, John. Thank you for saving me. And thank you for being my friends." Cried Coby as he watched our backs.

"Same as last time Captain?"

"Yea, you think you can take that many. If not just hold 'em off." Luffy asked while looking at he roughly 40 marines.

"I'm sure I can handle it, I've got plenty of ammo. And I'm not gonna try and kill then all. Just put 'em down enough that they don't mess with us." I say while getting all of my magazines positioned right. "Plus if I have to I can always fight with my knife, I'm sure it would be good practice."

"Just make sure to keep them off of me. And if you can go on ahead and get her out."

"Aye Captain." I muttered. I've never been in a fight this big. Sure a few scuffles here and there, and a fire fight or 2. But I'm almost certain I've never taken a life.

"I'll leave it too you. OI WHICH ONE OF YOU IS MORGAN. IM GONNA KICK HIS ASS."

As he charges forward I take a look at the panic. A good portion are looking at my captain making his way through to the metal faced bastard. While the smarter ones are tensing up for a fight. And it looks like the executioners are getting antsy. Looks like it's my turn.

And no, I'm not screaming out my attacks that's just stupid when you have the element of surprise. As I aim down the sights of my Fedorov I take three shots at each executioner. They quickly fall, and the chaos starts spreading even further. I take advantage of their panic and unload the rest of my mag towards a group of 6 swords men. 5 fall and the last is barely standing.

The rest finally turn their attention to me with gritted teeth and and furious eyes. "Y'all should really pay attention to the ones you're fighting. It's not good to be distracted." I say while changing magazines and putting another full one on my side.

"You bastard. Who do you think you are." Said a marine who I think is Ripper.

You know my middle name is David, and since i already know I'm going to be an enemy to the world government I might as well just say I'm a D. Plus I always did like ruffling peoples feathers. "Me. I'm John D. Brewer, and you'll remember my name for the rest of your life." One I finished saying my piece, I let out another volley towards the legs of the last group of swordsman. Hitting all of them at least once but 2 who took it as encouragement to charge me.

Letting go of my rifle to hang by the strap m, I grabbed my pistol and let two bullets fly hitting them both in the chest.

"Damn it don't let him get away. Fire I don't care what do but put him down." Screamed Ripper while foaming at the mouth.

'Damn he looks like a rabid dog. No wonder why he's called Ripper.' I couldn't help but think as I tried to keep evading their shots. 'Only 7 more. I've got 5 more shots before I need to reload.' As I take a wide turn letting loose the rest of my last 5 rounds, i his 4 of them. All that's left standing are two worn out marines and Ripper himself. Liking those odds i rush forward. Drawing my knife I stab the closest one in the chest and grab his rifle to hid the other one over the head.

While watching the last of his men fall Ripper can do nothing as I shoot him once in the leg an again in the shoulder to make sure he doesn't try to fight again.

"S-stop or the bitch dies." Says Helmeppo, trying to threaten me. And I probably would have stopped too, if I didn't see that he wasn't even aiming right. So I just raised this trash rifle one more time and hit him square in the head. 'Man I don't think I'll ever understand how these guns work. They just make no sense.'

Looking around and making sure my fight is over, and seeing that Luffy is finishing up with his. I head over to untie Zorro, and now that I can get a good look it seems she was just starved. That may sound bad, but I just glad the marines weren't complete trash. "Here let me get you untied and then you can ask the questions I'm sure you have." I say as calm as I can now that the adrenaline is starting to wear off.

"Yea, thanks." She says in a much softer voice than I had expected. Well it fits her I suppose.

While I'm cleaning off my knife I see one of the downed marines take a photo of me, before turning slightly to snap one of Luffy as well. 'Looks like we're getting our bounty's a little early huh.' While cutting off her restraints I couldn't help but see my shaking hands.

"Shishishi, good job John. Your a lot stronger than I thought."

"Thanks captain. I surprised myself as well, I thought I would have had to stall until you got done."

"I hope you both don't mine me asking, but who the hell are you people and what do you want?" Asked Zorro while she rubbed her wrists.

"Shishishi. I'm Monkey D Luffy, and the one behind you is my vise captain John. Nice to meet you." Said Luffy while grinning

"As for why we're here. My captain had heard about ya, and wanted to see if you would join on as our first mate. While looking around town we ran into that kid Rika and she told us about you, so we decided to come check to see if you'd join." I said while taking a pause to move closer to Luffy. "Then we'd heard you we're going to be killed, well you know what happened next."

"Shishishi, yep so join my crew. It'll be fun I just know it."

"Ehh sure, but if either of you get in between me and my ambitions I'll put you down. I will be the strongest swordsmen if the world. I don't care who get in my way." She said looking between both me and Luffy.

"The King of Pirates needs no less. Shishishi."

"Welcome aboard. Let's go get your swords and get out of here. I'm not so sure it's safe for us to be here much longer." I say while walking towards the marine base.

You know how it went I'm sure. Go through one room, look and say 'nope not this one,' them take everything of value and cheek the next.

All in all it was a good harvest I got plenty of weapons and ammunition to sell at Loguetown. As well as a few weeks of food and drinks, including water and booze. Also found Zorro's swords in some little girls room which was weird.

"This. This is the boat we're sailing on?" She asks with a look of fear and revulsion.

"Shishishi, yea it's great ain't it. Hopefully this one will last longer than 3 days." Laughs out our captain while jumping in.

"Come on, I heard Orange town was about 2 days from here let's head out." I say while pulling out a compass. 'Man at least Nami will be on the next island, I can't stand navigating.' I think while looking towards Zorro. "Hey want a beer or two?" Holding one out for her.

"Yea. Yea I think I'll need a few." She says while looking at our over exited Captain.

As I give her a look of pity I can help but say "Sorry it'll be more like 7 or 8. Trust my if anyone knows it's me." While turning back to rowing the boat. 'Hopefully we're not late this time. I'll row the boat with some effort to gain a few hours.'

All in all, today could have been a lot worse. So nothing to complain about, let's just hope it'll stay that way.
