A Burning Jungle

As the young night passed the full moon, the clouds separated themselves to allow passage, for the roaring Valkyries to torch the forest floor, as they made their landing! But while their bay door opened to a bang, the forest nocturnal life was forced to watch, as women all dressed in red, carried their bolters and their flamers within lock step! They marched bravely forward with a tune to church carols so loud it made all creatures of the jungle nocturnal! 

Hearing the dreadful music, Layla woke up abruptly just in time to see Mary locking swords with an unknown! 

{who are you!} screamed Layla as she quickly drew her own blade 

[about time you got up! I've been screaming your name this whole time!] yelled back Mary 

Few moments earlier 

As Mary stared at the sleeping Layla by the fire, with feelings in turmoil, she sensed someone getting closer and closer, for they didn't even try to hide their steps nor their grunts or their presence. Knowing whatever it was getting closer, Mary readied her blade! 

When the stranger appeared by the fire light, it approached the undefended sleeping Layla, when a sudden chain roar broke the silence! With a quick reaction, the stranger blocked Mary's surprise attack, much to her surprise! As the two chain blades roared as one, they slammed into each other time and time again, as if testing the waters. 

[i see you well in verse with the blade] said the stranger 

[Of course! The church taught us well!] replied Mary 

[us? You mean your friend here who is still sleeping through our fight? Through all this noise we were making? Ya … I can see the church taught you very well…] replied the stranger sarcastically 

[Hey Layla! Get up!] yelled Mary with anger veins on her forehead 

[Haha!] laughed the stranger as she pulled down her hood 

[my name is Molly, So, what's yours] 

[Mary…] 

[I take this on as Layla then… look I don't want to be that guy… but maybe you should look into getting a better partner… I mean what good is she if she is just going to sleep when you need her most… trust me she is just going to get you killed out here…] said Molly 

[Let me worry about that… you don't even know her!] yelled back Mary 

[I know she trash…] replied Molly 

[take that back!] said Mary through seething teeth 

[well, why don't you make me then] threaten Molly with all seriousness 

[The bloody rose has no need for girls like her who think this is all a game!] screamed Molly as they collide swords again and again 

But while their sword touched for one final time, they all heard and felt the loud calling of church music! Abruptly stopping themselves, while Layla woke up from her sleep. 

{I see… so that's what happened… well anyway Molly mind telling me why you were so desperate to find us?} Asked Layla 

[what... I haven't told you anything… What made you think I was desperate to find you?] replied Molly 

{well, for one: you look like shit... And by that, I mean you have obviously been fighting even before you arrived here, it's made even more obvious based on how Mary just described to me how she heard you coming.} 

{So, either you wanted to alert us, or you couldn't help it, but I am more inclined to believe it was a little of both. So, what kind of fight were you in that led you here… I also wonder if you have any friends nearby… but based on how you're carrying yourself, I doubt you have any friends…} 

{So, that only leaves me to think of two possible scenarios, one your group lost to another group of recruits for supplies but it is a little too soon for that I think, unless it's a dominant thing but we're not men so… that just leaves me to think that the recruit base camp must have been raided by something.. Am I right?} said Layla through suspicion eyes 

[sigh, did anyone ever tell you that you talk too much...] replied Molly exhausted 

{Yes, anyway before you tell me what happened let's quench this fire and move one...} replied Layla to the two confused faces 

{sigh, I can tell just by looking at you both, that neither of you understand… Think about it Mary... If this Molly… was able to find us alone in the dark after trekking around for an hour all exhausted from base camp, then what about her "friends" or anyone else for that matter…} said Layla 

[Look I don't have any "friends" as you put it… the entire base camp was slaughtered… I think.] replied Molly 

{Yes... Yes, I know you're bad at stalling for time…anyway I'll give you a chance! so talk as we walk…} replied Layla 

[walk… where exactly? Do you even know where to go?] replied Molly sarcastically through seething teeth out of pure annoyance 

{In this pure jungle of death and darkness… NOPE! But anywhere is better than here, plus I saw some old, abandoned huts further out when we got here, they must have been made by the previous recruits… at least I hope…} said Layla 

[what do you mean by you hope?] replied Molly 

{I hope that they are really abandoned, and I hope they were left by old recruits, and I really hope that we don't get jump on, by some freak as we are walking… anything else... Or do you just want to keep wasting our precious time?} replied Layla 

But as they left their embers behind, their smoldering fumes drew in the followers of Krohne, for their noise never lost the scent of fresh meat that was ripe for the slaughter! 

[Hehe… boss they were just here but a moment ago… they couldn't have gone far…] said a jitter sleazy man 

[Good… Good! This is close enough… Release the FLESH HOUNDS!] yelled the Drazet the bone crusher 

[buttttt… are you sure my…] said the sleazy man clearly afraid 

Annoyed by his follower attitude, Drazet interrupted the man by lifting him up by the neck and held him by the flesh hounds! Scared the man pissed himself as he stared eye to eye with the Daemonic monster! But while he listening to the monster hungry growls, Drazet said: 

[you cowardly follower… How dare you call yourself a brother of mine! FOR NO BROTHER OF MINE IS TO BE THIS WEAK! HOW DARE YOU SULLY THE NAME OF KROHNE!] yelled Drazet in a furry as he threw the man into the cage with the flesh hound! 

As the man screamed and pleaded as the flesh hound delectable devoured the man flesh, the men of Krohne danced and cheered at the screaming man song, but while they danced through the raining blood, the woman in red ready themselves their shots, and their fire!
