5 Chapter 5

(Alexander POV):

It is time to go to school. I picked my clothes using braille labels that are on them. I'll go with a purple shirt and black pants. Then, I grab my favorite braille pocket watch that has a tiger engraving on it. I might be blind, but that doesn't mean I can't be stylish.

As I got dressed, a thought popped up. I wonder if the main female lead is already here or not. I remember hearing another complaint about Twilight that the main female didn't show up in the book until March or February, but in the movie, it was in January. I guess I will find out today.

Mom: "Alexander and Arthur, come down here and have breakfast!"

Alexander and Arthur: "On our way!"

I grab my cane sword as we both walk downstairs to eat quickly.

Mom: "Make sure you two have everything. Alexander made sure you have your HumanWare, the Brailliant 40, with your laptop to take notes and do school work."

"Yes, I already have it in the backpack, and it's ready to go."

We ate quickly, and now we're heading to Forks High School. We arrived and were taken to the office to get our schedules. While the office lady was getting them for us, we heard a girl's voice behind us.

Bella: "My name is Bella Swan, and I'm here to get my class schedule."

Office Lady:" Yes, I was expecting you soon. I currently was just printing them for these boys, and for you already. I'll write a note for you three to go to class. As for Alexander, the teachers already know about you and left corner seats by a plug-in for your stuff. Now, here are the notes. You three may leave now. "

I could sense Bella looking at me as I walked with my brother. Then she walked off to her own class while we headed in a different direction.

Arthur: "Looks like our first class is Gym in the morning. That's not bad at all since we are used to working out in the morning."

"True, but knowing them, I will be seated out if they are playing team sports."

We arrived at the gym, and my brother gave the gym teacher our note. I felt other students looking at us when we arrived, especially myself. Some were currently playing basketball, while the rest were relaxing somewhere in the corner. It must be free time.

The teacher said we could do anything in our free time and asked if I needed help. I said I was good. I went and sat down in a corner to relax as my brother went on to play basketball with the rest of the students. I watched using my observation haki. Then suddenly, someone missed a hard pass, and the ball was heading towards me.

Arthur"Watch out, Alex!"

To supirse everyone, I just lift my right hand and catch the ball. Then I just put the ball down. Arthur started to run towards me.

Arthur: "Are you okay? How did you do that?"

""I'm fine. Haha, it must be my good blind instincts kicking in."

Then Arthur made sure I was okay and went back to playing. Class ended soon, and we started heading to the next class. We walked along the hallway as I moved my sword cane around.

People were standing around and looking at me as usual, but I noticed, using my observation haki, that in a corner of the hallway, there was a person with an aura but no heartbeat. It must be one of the vampires. I don't know which one it is or why they are hiding in the corner, looking at us.

I should mess with whoever it is. I looked at their directions and smiled wide, then turned and left with Arthur.

(Edythe POV)

I finally heard around first class about a blind boy and his brother walking into the school. I was excited and wanted to skip class to find them but chose to wait after class.

As soon as the bell resounded through the corridors, I dashed out, eager to catch a glimpse of the duo. Spotting them emerging from the gym, engaged in conversation, my heart raced. Though I longed to approach them, nerves held me back. Instead, I found solace in a hidden corner, observing their interaction. As I watched, a sense of connection washed over me, accompanied by a pleasant aroma emanating from the non-blind brother. His name, I overheard, was Arthur.

Lost in thoughts of how to approach Arthur, a peculiar sensation crept over me. It felt as though someone's gaze was fixed upon me. Raising my eyes, I met the sight of Alexander, the blind boy, smiling widely in my direction. A wave of disbelief washed over me. Could it be possible that he could see me?

Surely, it must have been a mistake on my part. There's no way Alexander, being blind, could have actually seen me. Perhaps he was simply looking in my direction due to the commotion around us. That would make more sense. I shook off the strange encounter, convincing myself that it was nothing more than a coincidence.

With my plan to approach Arthur temporarily on hold, I realized that getting to know his brother, Alexander, might be a way to establish a connection. If I could strike up a conversation with Alexander, it could potentially lead me closer to Arthur. But how should I go about it?

Recalling Alice, being friendly and sociable, I thought she might have some insights or suggestions. She seemed to have a knack for making friends easily. Perhaps I could've learn from her approach. I decided to seek out Alice and discuss my predicament, hoping she could offer some guidance.

As I made my way towards Alice, I contemplated the idea of emulating her friendly demeanor as a first impression. Maybe adopting a similar approach would help me break the ice with Alexander and pave the way for a conversation. It was worth a shot, at least.

Arriving at Alice's side, I shared my thoughts and asked for her advice on how to approach Alexander and potentially get closer to Arthur. Alice listened attentively, her friendly smile encouraging me to pursue my goal. She offered some valuable suggestions and assured me that she would be there to support me along the way.

Feeling a renewed sense of determination, I thanked Alice for her help and set off, ready to put her advice into action. It was time to take a step forward and see where this unexpected connection with Alexander could lead me to know Arthur more. I will start planning today or tomorrow.

( Author's note: I was able to get a third chapter in this week for all of you. I wanted to inform you that there won't be one this Sunday as I will be busy celebrating my birthday with family and friends. However, there will still be two chapters next week. Have a good weekend!)
