8 Eight

"Yello?" I said as I picked up my phone, it was currently Tuesday morning of January 25th, 2005.

It had been ten days since I arrived in Forks and my time here has been rather entertaining. Now although I say it was entertaining none of my days had been as interesting and eventful as my first day of school, my first day was special.

My time has been spent between chilling at home and at school but school was obviously the more entertaining place to be as of recently, although I never thought I'd say that. In school, I hung out with the Cullens and got to know them, that was pretty much it but I wasn't dissatisfied with it. Bella's description of her 'siblings' was pretty accurate, most of the Cullen's weren't the same as their movie versions.

Edward was easygoing and liked to joke which was the opposite of his movie version who was quiet and loved to brood. Emmett was goofy and loved to lift the atmosphere which was the same as his movie version. Jasper was more like his movie version but he wasn't completely the same, I had seen the man laugh and joke while not being affected by the blood of humans like he was in the movie.

Rosalie was the exact opposite of her movie version, instead of being bitchy and disliking humans she liked humans and was sweet to everyone, it was like she swapped personalities with Alice from the movies. Bella was a tomboy, she liked to joke with guys which made her easy to speak with. Lynda was mature and gave off the image of an older sister who cared for her younger siblings while their parents weren't around, similar to Jasper.

Last but not least was Alice, she was as we all know, the complete opposite of her movie version. Alice didn't like people at all, she was cold, distant, and disinterested in nearly everything, outside of me and her family she rarely spoke and when she did speak it was a brief and blunt response.

It should also be mentioned that out of the ten days I've been in Forks, I had only spent seven days at school with the Cullens and seven days was just that, seven days, it wasn't enough time for anyone to get a solid grasp of someone's personality, I could be wrong about a few things regarding the Cullens but only time would tell.

Now outside of getting to know the Cullens I also tried getting closer to Alice which was progressing albeit slowly. Neither Alice nor I were in a rush to do anything, we obviously didn't speak about Vampire stuff so the knowledge of any mate bond between the two of us was still unknown but for now, I was happy with the progress Alice and I were making.

Something I found funny was despite Alice's usual passive and speechless behavior she was possessive and even though she tried to hide it, I could tell and I honestly found it rather cute, it let me know that I wasn't the only one into the other person.

During the time I was in school girls flirted with me a lot, I was handsome and a musician which was something some girls liked, not all, but some, and the girls who did like it took their chance to get at me but unfortunately for them not only was I not interested a Cullen was usually there to cockblock them for me.

In my first four class periods I was rarely flirted with but when I was one of two things happened, I either shot down any advances or one of my Cullen friends would cockblock the shit out of them.

It should also be mentioned that I wasn't a dick to everyone that approached me. If a random girl came up to me and started talking with me as regular humans did then that was fine but that and flirting were different, flirting with me was a no but being friends was fine.

Although I do feel a bit stuck up for how I handle the situation I don't really give a shit, it would suck if Alice thought I was giving some other girl a chance because I was allowing her to flirt with me, I wouldn't let that happen and the Cullens appeared to have noticed that as well so they began to help me so that I wasn't always the bad guy.

My last three classes of the day which I spent with Alice were relatively fine but when someone did approach me flirtatiously Alice as usual didn't speak but she stared at them, she stared at them in a way that made the person who approached leave as soon as they could.

"Hey Keanu, I was wondering if your return date was up for talks? I've got a big deal if it is." My manager asked me through the phone.

"Nope." I replied immediately, I might even take longer off.

"It's a deal with Murgo." My manager, Sylas said.

"Maybe next time buba, for now I've got school, cya!" I said before hanging up the phone before the sound of Layla entering my room.

"We've finished preparing your ride sir." Layla said politely.

"Nice, then let's get going." I replied as I began walking toward the exit of my room.

"Yes sir." Layla replied before we began making our way toward the vehicle, I would usually say bye to my grandparents but they weren't here at the moment so I couldn't.

Layla and I soon arrived at the vehicle and began making our way toward the school and after a while, we arrived at our destination.

"See ya' later miss lady." I said as I made my way into the school while Layla saw me off.

As I entered the school I began to make my way to my first period while making sure I didn't run into anyone or anything and after a bit, I arrived. I had already memorized the routes to all of my classes so I was fine to make my way around as I pleased but nonetheless, I usually had a Cullen with me since they usually helped me out when they could, plus they wanted to get out of class early which was reasonable.

"Good morning Keanu." The teacher said to me as I entered the classroom.

"Mornin'." I replied.

~ Time skip no Jutsu! Lunchtime! ~

My first-period class went by quickly with Bella and so did the other three classes I had, I didn't have time to be bored at school with the vampires here so time passed quickly for me and soon enough it was lunchtime time and I could be seen sitting at the Cullens's table as I usually am.

"Howdy." I said to the girl who had just sat beside me.

"Mhm." Alice hummed in response, most might find it disrespectful that she didn't reply with words but I didn't care at all, she was cute.

"Flirtin' already? Couldn't help yourself huh?" Bella said as she and Rosalie sat beside each other.

"If you call greeting each other flirting then you're in for a rough time." I replied.

"Eh, I'll be fine." Bella said as she shrugged off my words while everyone else quickly sat down and began speaking with their mates.

"I got the book you recommended me." I said to Alice getting her attention although she was already staring at me.

"Like it?" Alice asked with an almost untraceable amount of curiosity.

"Yeah, it's pretty good." I replied truthfully.

"Mhm, tell me when you're finished." Alice said before falling silent again, she'll probably recommend me another book once I'm finished.

"You got anything to do after school Keanu?" Edward asked me catching everyone's attention.

"Nope, why?" I questioned wondering where this was going.

"Then do you wanna hang out at our place later today?" Edward asked with a genuinely friendly tone.

"Sure, sounds like a plan." I replied to the vampire before continuing.

"Just text me your address later." I said, I had already exchanged numbers with the Cullens but we only spoke over a call, the reason I asked for him to send me the address was so that I could show it to my driver later on, I obviously wasn't gonna read it off of the phone.

"Okay." Edward replied.

"You're in for a good time brotha man." Emmett said with a smile before continuing.

"Although I'll warn you about this beforehand, our mom and dad are your super fans, they've got all of your merch and stuff like that." Emmett said before Lyna spoke.

"Super fans is an understatement..." Lynda said as Jasper nodded his head in agreement.

"Yeah... they ain't wrong." Bella said before Rosalie spoke.

"Don't worry, they're just passionate, everyone's overreacting." Rosalie said with her usual gentle tone.

I was a bit surprised to hear their words about Carlisle and Esme since they hadn't mentioned them yet but it didn't offset me, I was used to the most passionate of supporters so I was prepared.

"That'll be entertaining." I said with a smile.

"It definitely will." Bella replied before we all went back to talking with our mates, or in my case my possible mate until eventually lunch was over, and with that coming to an end so did the school day.

"Good evening sir, I apologize for the abrupt change in servants but Layla had a family emergency so I was assigned to care for you until she returns." A butler whom I didn't know said as I stood with the Cullens who were watching everything.

"Well, things happen so no worries." I replied to the butler before turning my attention back to the Cullens.

"I'll catch you folks later on." I said to the Cullens before the butler opened the door to the Rolls Royce I usually rode around in.

"See ya' soon." Emmett said before the rest of the Cullens followed along in saying our temporary goodbyes.

"Bye." Alice said softly.

"Bye." I replied to the woman before getting into the car.

Now inside of the car the butler soon began to drive me back to the mansion and after a bit, we arrived.

"I'm going to a friend's house in two hours." I said to the butler.

"Yes sir." The butler replied promptly.

With the butler now knowing that I planned on leaving in two hours, I entered my room before hopping into the shower. I enjoyed a long shower before getting out and doing random stuff until it had been two hours and I was now inside of the car.

"Here you go, bud." I said to the butler as I handed him the paper that had the Cullens address on it, I asked for Edward to text me the address but Alice decided to write it down for me which was better.

"Thank you, sir." The butler said before we began to make our way to the Cullens.

"Nothing to thank man, I didn't do anything." I replied as I sat in the back seat patiently, the servants were always like this but I grew used to it after a while.

The butler and I spoke for a bit before falling silent as we rode to the Cullen's residence, there wasn't a lot to be said between the butler and me, we didn't know each other and from the way he spoke to me, he obviously wanted to keep our relationship as professional as possible so I didn't push him.

"My apologies sir, it appears we'll be a bit late due to the driver in front of us." The butler said.

"No problem man, just drive safely" I replied nonchalantly, a few minutes late was fine.

"Yes, si-" The butler replied before being crushed by the wood and metal that fell off of the 18-wheeler truck in front of us.

BAM!

The sound of the truck in front of us flipping sounded through the environment but I had no time to care for that as I had just been impaled by five metal rods that had come from the truck while the car that was driven by my now dead butler proceeded to flip multiple times until I was now hanging upside down in the car being held in place by the metal rods that had pierced my body.

To be continued...
