33 What was the main focus of this again?
Chapter 33
I sat in a lounge chair in my private room as I watched multiple surveillance screens showing me different areas of the planet's civilization. All these people who are going about their daily lives are now going to die and their planet would become one more sparkling speck of dust in the Gem empire.
Am I an edge lord? Wait, no I'm not! I'm just doing a horrible thing and not feeling bad about it, so I guess that's better... or something along those lines?
Ok, so everything is ready for the invasion, genocide, and colonization preparations. Now all I have to do is sit here and wait as my army destroys an entire planet, species, and multiple ways of life!
"Eda." I said to my invisible companion.
"Yes my Diamond?" Still invisible she answered back in a respectful tone, the kind you would hear from an anime butler or maid.
"Send the orders to begin first contact, data analysis on the species, and war time effort."
"Yes my Diamond, the orders have been sent."
The effect was instantaneous as the previously peaceful screens changed to a scene of confusion and madness as Gems swept through settlements and towns. No cities yet as those are further away from the bases, can't start off too strong.
They need to struggle, after all that is what this experience is all about!
I shifted my posture with both my legs hanging off to the left arm of the throne and began playing with my hair as I casually looked at the screens.
The screen showed a Water nation team fighting against a cell of two Jaspers, Labradorite, Onyx, and Lapis Lazuli near a stone passageway over water. Makes sense since their main method of attack is through water and there are multiple such water sources throughout the city. Wonder how they would handle the criminal element, I mean it's free ammunition right?
Anyway, the cell is currently fighting against fi-fou-three, ok three! They are fighting against three male guards wearing silverish blue scale armor on their chest, shoulders, arms, and knee pads. They have fish-like helmets and are wearing leather underclothing with a scale-like pattern with armored boots.
(Black Diamond: Fish themed armor! Which cliche fucker wrote this!?!)

The fish part makes sense seeing as most early civilizations worship things like the ocean or sun and see their by products as messengers. So fish and similarly inspired armor could be seen as a symbol of religious community within the Water nation or any other planet's kingdom. Especially so considering they are hydrokinetic and this could have drastically impacted their world view.
Yup, it makes sense and it would be funny to question it. HAHAHAHAHAHA!

(We both then gave a hearty laugh… well I did, Black followed along and cried a bit.)
Why am I explaining the history and impact of fish in cultural development?
Two of the guards seemed pretty tanned from their mouths and the last one looked a little green, maybe it has to do with the blood and organs of one of the previous guards being scattered all across the walkway due to the courtesy of the Lapis. Again, they really should have considered the criminal element when they designed this place.
The other guard seemed to have had his face caved in from the Jasper's single gauntlet, you know judging from the brain matter on it.
Then as they were about to proceed with the fight a black haired, pale woman wearing light blue armor over a blue scale-like long coat and black wrapped up leggings and shoes then jumped from the water bringing a wave behind her.
The Labradorite jumped away while the Onyx crouched low, probably increasing her gravity, and as the wave crashed into the pathway she and the other Gems just tanked it. The natives were surprised by this and they just stared at each other for a few moments before the women brought a portion of water near her hand and made an ice gauntlet.
The silence lasted for a few more seconds before the Jasper and the women rushed at each other and punched with their respective gauntlets that collided with a loud clang. A portion of the woman's gauntlet chipped off and left a deep gash from the bottom of her left eye to her ear.
Yeah, yeah, a basic anime style fight. So moving on from that I started using my hair to make facial hair as I saw similar scenes happen across the screens.
Fire soldiers who attacked a three fusion Ruby that completely ignored their flames as well as other Gems who showed monumental resistance to the heat. There were a few magma or crossbow users who posed a problem, but they were dealt with by my army. I made my hair into a cartoon mustache.
Air soldiers were annoying but their martial prowess and wind manipulation was useless against Gem bodies. That small hiccup was annoying but they were dealt with long range weaponry and Onyx martial arts. I now have a flowing beard.
Earth soldiers were annoying and a few places did suicide attacks that destroyed small to large sections of the settlements or towns. They took more time and effort to deal with but the weakened strongholds were dealt with. I'll send some notes that they should be dealt with long range weaponry or Gems that can surpass common dirt. They'll be a headache.
I thought seriously as I put a fist under my chin and my hair was turned into a mask covering my face only showing my white diamond eyes.
"My Diamond." Eda initiated a conversation with me.
"Yes Eda?" I undid my ninja hair mask with my powers as I answered back.
"Are you okay?" She asked in a worried tone.
"What do you mean?" Is she asking about my thoughts on seeing the loss of life and one sided slaughter that I initiated.
"During a few of your encounters with White Diamond I noticed several acts of emotional distress." I forgot I programed her with social and emotional analysis for the field.
"I'm fine Eda."
"You're lying." She fully denied my excuse and continued. "Everytime you communicate with White Diamond verbally or telepathically you sometimes experience emotional discomfort over her words."
"Yes, I do." No point lying and I'm not afraid of losing my macho image, I programmed her to love me. Her programming has evolved though as before she would not have just sat on this. One time an Amethyst was looking at my ass with one eye just as I walked out from the room (she was looking at my back) and Eda shot her with a bolt of energy and poofed her.
"Why do you take it? You are not usually like this." She brought me out of my reminiscence.
"I have to bring a facade to make it look like she is in control." That's right, I have to make White, Yellow, Blue, and Pink believe it too. However, I try to make it less apparent to my younger siblings they should-
"But at times she really hurts you." Eda interjects at times.
"What do you mean?"
"I analyze your face, body, and mannerisms."
"I don't have facial muscles and I keep my body language at a pre-set mind setting that it cannot deviate from."
"I look into your eyes." I freeze a little bit, only for a micro seconds but Eda continues.
"She says hurtful and inconsiderate things at times that you really feel and while she does care for you truly, you feel the same."
"So what would you suggest?" She takes a moment to process the request
"Take your stand."
"She would take her misgivings to Yellow, Blue, or Pink and use them as an outlet." I countered.
"Prove your strength."
"She has an ego the size of the universe and would not take any direct challenges to it well and thus lead to confrontation, you know the state of intergalactic planets are." I countered.
"Contain-"
"Poof and bubble you mean." I interrupted and continued. "No matter what you say I would harm her, my sisters, and everything we built. White thinks she has no faults and I still accept her despite that idiocy. If I contained her, the thought 'I could and would harm them' would spread to Yellow, Blue, and Pink minds and destroy our relationship. I truly love them all too much to hurt them and I love myself too much to get rid of them."
"Talk to me or Pearl." Eda offered and I just looked to the wall as she materialized in front of me and canceled the screens.
"We love you as well."
"Both of you were pre-programed to do so, the only reason I'm telling you and not Pearl is I know you won't act or interfere like this again when I order you to." I countered.
"I'm okay with that." She pressed on. "We both fell in love with you, not the love of family or lovers, but greater love, and the other Diamonds as we watched you together with them feel more than that. If you ask us to die we will, if you ask us to destroy the universe we will, if you ask us to suffer we will. You mean more to us than you could ever know. It might be because of programming or instructions, but we will always act in your interest, we love you."

"Hate me or Pearl all you want, all that matters is that you're okay. Please talk to me."

The room was filled with my voice as I began to speak, at one point Pearl came in but I simply went on.
