5 Learning and training part 1

As I waited for Pearl to get the necessary equipment I went inside the BDL to research ways to improve myself, more specifically the Fallen's section on martial arts and research on metaphysical powers. However I was soon met with a crushing disappointment on the first part. It was not that the martial arts were weak or useless, no they were the opposite. They had so much potential and development that I could make it so quality can defeat any amount of quantity.

Now if that was the case, why was I so disappointed? Because the majority of the martial arts pay attention to physical fitness, exercises, body constitution, breathing, and what I would call meridian pathways. Of which I only have breathing in the sense of being restricted to only do so for comfort. My body is only the physical form that my consciousness uses in order to interact with the world, thus I'm more of a self actualized idea given shape.

Though not all the martial arts were completely useless, I could still learn their form and the stances which wouldn't hurt. However, the biggest payoff was the metaphysical power research. While they didn't provide any direct methods of finding out about my Diamond powers, they did give me insight and references of cases involving mental powers. As a being of consciousness this would be a massive help.

My conclusion is that powers and mental power are stupid as fuck. They all depend on the individual's mental state and a person's mental demons can become literal demons. Like David or Jean from marvel. The slightest hint of doubt or hesitation could cause me to have problems with my power or being unable to use them at all. Luckily I was not the only person pissed off like this and the Fallen actually developed methods similar to mental or soul cultivation in order to strengthen the current sense of self.

If David had this he probably would have had more control over his personalities produced by his powers and Jean would be a more what-if situation as her powers were also influenced by an outside source. Now that I think about it this is probably why gem pink Steven was so powerful. He could walk on air and had full access to all of Pink Diamond potential due to the fact he had nothing weighing him down except for his attachment to his human half. A single goal and nothing else. Bringing myself out of the library I began to make a plan for my training.

I would spend the first half of the month trying to figure out my powers as Black Diamond and dedicate the rest of the time to what's needed. Seeing as Pearl has yet to return I bring my hand in front of me and try to direct my power using my will as described by the Fallen. Soon a black glow began to emanate through my hand and began to fluctuate in a wave-like manner.

Seeing as how I am able to actively use my power on the first try I guess it must be more instinct than anything else. Now to try something else, seeing as how White is able to make the transportation bubble and how in the show Steven and by extension Pink were able to manipulate their energy into shapes, I began to try the same.

I tried thinking of the energy forming into a sphere and lo and behold it worked, I then began to spin it like a rasengan and it began to suck all the air inside of the room. I wanted to throw it to see its power and was about to ask the pebbles to do so, but I stopped myself. It would be more informative to test it on an actual combat machine and the Pebbles may get hurt. *Cough* there would also be a hole were the Pebble construct was made *cough*. Sigh it's lonely to be invincible.

I began to power down the black rasengan? Yeah the black rasengan, and began to experiment making other shapes and having them float around me. By the time Pearl came back with a bunch of Agates pushing carts full of robots and other equipment I had multiple shapes floating around me. Pearl then did a Diamond solute followed by the Agates and then spoke with her eyes closed. Wow she learned fast

"My Diamond, we have brought the material as requested. What shall we do with them?"

Still having the shapes float around me I spoke.

"Drop them to the side and have the pebbles construct them and set them up."

Pearl responds with a yes and orders the Agates to do as I instructed after catching them blushing upon looking at me. This is going to get tiring isn't it? Should I wear a mask or veil to hide my face? I could probably make a few technologies to help me make it fashionable and op. I could look to do something similar to 2B or wear a mask and be the mysterious anime character who everyone wants to see.

Seeing the equipment had been set up and Pearl shooing away the Agates after catching them staring at me with blushed faces I got up from my throne and thanked the Pebbles for the Quality work. I heard a few murmurs erupt before the throne sank back into the ground, probably never expected a thanks from a Diamond.

Turning my attention to Pearl who is in her standard serving position with her eyes closed I say.

"Thank you Pearl. Now could you please turn on the machines and keep sending out the robots until I ask you to stop."

She quickly responds in a hurried and stuttering voice.

"T-t-t-there's no reason to thank me my Diamond. It's my pleasure to serve you-"

She then realized her mistake of opening her eyes and blushed upon seeing my face which has still kept the same resting face of Senior White, however this time she doesn't close her eyes.

I simply smile and reply

"Then it's a good thing I can do what I want. Now proceed with the test."

She seems too stunned to make a reply and simply compelled with my orders. The robots were sent out and I began to attack them with different constructs and styles. I experimented and adapted according to my experience and Fallen knowledge before continuing. It wasn't until half a month later that I realized my unique Black Diamond power.
