"Don't worry I will keep it as a secret". She said while placing her hand on her chest.

"Please Shaina don't tell anyone I promise I will give you whatever you want please". I tried pleading with her and trying to see if I can gift her.

"No don't worry what are friends for, we are friends aren't we?. She asked.

I nodded my head and started thinking of when we became friends without my knowledge.

"Sophia? My mother called out to me from her room. She normally have hallucinations whenever she takes those drugs.

I entered the room and went to her.

"Mom it's okay am here". I said while patting her hair.

"Sophia?. She asked trying to touch my face.

"yes mom".

"Where's your dad?.

"Dad?

"Yes Where's your dad? go and call him". She said.

"Okay mom I will go and call him but for the meantime while don't you rest for a while okay?. I was already used to her asking of my dad whenever she is hallucinating.

"Okay Sophia, don't be late".

"I won't". I quickly tuck her in the bed and left the room.

I turned in time to see Shaina wrinkling her nose but she started smiling when she saw me.

"Is she always like this?. Shaina asked me.

"No she became this way after my dad's death". I told her.

"Oh am so sorry I never knew that you were fatherless". She said while making a bad job at consoling me and wiping the invisible tears in her eyes.

"It's fine am already used to it".

I saw that She wanted to say something but didn't know how to start.

"Anything? I asked her.

"Okay how about we continue our project tomorrow?. She asked.

"Oh okay if that's what you want, won't you have some snacks at least?. I asked her.

"No don't worry am fine okay? And I don't wanna stress you, I see you as a sister". She said.

"Okay thank you Shaina".

She made to the door and turned back.

"You're welcome. don't worry your secret is safe with me". She said and went out of my house.

My mind skipped a bit when I heard our popular school reporter saying that my secret is safe with her.

Well let me just hope that she will fall and have a memory loss.

No I quickly rebuked that wicked thought, she will not fall, it's her choice if she want to sell me out or not.
