2 Chapter two:THE TRUST GAME
Shin Min and Kim sit at a restaurant and enjoy their meal.
Shin Min: "Today Mr.Joo won has relieved you from duties so early"
Kim: "yeah, he has gone for a blind date"
Shin: "Really!!"
Kim:'why do you seem so excited?"
Shin Min: "I should be the one who would be happy if that man gets a girl in his life and gives u some free time so that we can spend quality time together"
Kim: "Don't raise your hopes high. I'm sure even this date is going to be a flop"
Shin Min looks clueless and asks:'Why?"
Kim:'You have no idea, how crazy he is when it comes to choosing his partner..let alone expectations..he makes his date play a crazy game"
Shin Min:'GAME!!'
Meanwhile at the restaurant where Joo won is on his way to meet his blind date
A-yeong, waiting at a rooftop restaurant for Joo won.
A-yeong, a pretty young woman belonging to a rich family, whose parents are eager for her to match with Joo won so that their business prospects prosper.
A-yeong on phone"Ok mom! don't worry !! how can he reject me?? be ready to hear from him by tomorrow that I can't live without A-Yeong...ha..haa.,she laughs loud ...as she laughs..she watches Joo won approaching her, she cuts the call and gets up to greet him
Joo won and A-Yeong sits opposite each other
Joo won stares at her..A-Yeong feels a little hesitant but wanted to break the ice and starts the conversation
A-yeong: "You look more handsome in person than in pictures"
Joo won"I know"
That reply made A-Yeong (in her mind) how to make such a self-centered arrogant guy fall for me?? it's ok A-yeong you can do it...a beautiful woman like you can make any man's heart flutter..haha
Joo won:'I think you have spent a lot of time getting ready for the date"
A-yeong:'yeah and you seem to have little time as you have come in your casual dress"
Joo won:'Im confident of my looks irrespective of what I wear and I dislike dressing up for impressing"
A-yeong:'Im impressed anyway"(she blushes)
Joo won stares and asks "are you prepared ?'
A-yeong: "prepared for what?"
Joo won: "Getting to date and marry someone like me isn't that easy. I need to know your intellect, wisdom....and a lot more"
A-yeong: "of course...ask me anything, my intelligence will blow up your mind. I strongly believe we are a match made in heaven..it's our destiny..we are meant to be...... to love, trust and be together forever"
Joo sarcastically won nods and says"let's go"
A-yeong takes her to a gaming area...
Joo won: "This is one of the most advanced games, if you could beat me up in this game?'
A-yeong:"sorry..I don't know how to play ...you can change your testing parameter..any other thing"??
Joo won: "ok..let us go to the main game"
A-yeong follows Joo won quickly who is rushing
A-Yeong:" another game? which one?"
Joo won takes A-Yeong to a bridge
A-yeong {in her mind} "Ah the bridge is not crowded, it's lonely, we are alone, A-yeong he is just going to get on his knees and propose to me...I know..smiles.
Joo won bends down..
A-Yeong screams with excitement.
Joo won: "what's wrong with you..anyway let's start the game, save your screams for later"
Joo won bends dwon and picks up a piece of cloth
A-yeong looks shocked, clueless
Joo won: "Now we are going to play "THE TRUST GAME"
A-yeong: "The trust game?? what?"
Joo won: "Get on the top of the bridge, I will blindfold you, have this long cloth wrapped around your waist..hang...I can hold the edge of the cloth or drop it.....it's up to me, if I leave it you will fall into the river"
A-yeong: "Are you crazy, what kind of game is that"
Joo won: "After thinking match made in heaven..love destiny trust bullshit...so you quit the game and disqualify"!!
A-yeong:'Im not going to be part of such stupidity. I'm leaving"
A-yeong rushes to catch a taxi and leaves hurriedly.
Joo won calls his driver and boards his car
Secretary Kim calling said phone screen,
Joo won: "disqualified!! join me early tomorrow"
Kim: "yes"
Shin min:'what happened"
Kim just stares and shin min looks disappointed
Joo won reaches home and meets his father in the living room
His father: "so you have ruined another blind date..you little brat. I don't get what's wrong with you..you...
His mother interrupts:'Joo won..did u have your dinner ..go to sleep"
Joo won says good night to both and starts leaving towards his bedroom...he overhears his parent's conversation
His father: "you have spoiled him ..pampered him to this"
His mother:'His current problem of distrust is rooted in the past and we better not talk about how everything was ruined"
His father leaves angrily
Joo won gets glimpses of a flashback ....
a kid running and screaming..
holding back his tears he moves towards his bedroom
The flashbacks haunt him..unable to sleep..he searches for his pills and goes to sleep"
Meanwhile, Sun Ri is dressed in a black jacket with a black hat on her head
she enters a large villa at night
She slowly enters the villa and moves toward the living room
An old man dressed up in suit is seen sitting in the lavish living room
The old man smiles looking at Sun ri
He says"come sun Ri..how are you, my child?"
Sun ri goes near him ..places her hand in the jacket, gets hold of the knife, and stabs him to death.
The old man screams
"I'm betrayed"
"I'm betrayed"
"you can't do this to me my child"
...Sun Ri stands there with a straight face ... with blood on her hand.....
Sun ri screams
She wakes up from her nightmare, unable to breathe for a while...
She then gets hold of a glass of water,calms down
She looks at the calendar
She gets ready, and goes to a place where a prayer meet for the deceased is being held
The photo of the man(she has seen in her dream)...
His daughter and wife grieving around ...
Sun ri cries from a distance and leaves...
Secretary Kim reports on duty
.Joo won: "did you get hold of the man who writes those articles for the journal "
Kim: "Today I have a meeting scheduled with the editor of the journal...I shall update you, sir"
Joo won: "Kim, that man's ideas when put to action can drastically change the face of uses of artificial intelligence and his recent article on gaming is the one which makes me restless as it is essential to me now"
Kim:'Yes sir. I have never seen you praise anyone this way. I promise to get the work done"
Joo won smiles...
Kim reaches the office of the editor.
Editor: "You are Mr.Kim from INTELLEKT GROUP"
Kim: "yeah"
Editor: "what brings you here and how can I help you"
Kim pointing toward the article on the tablet asks the editor: "I want to meet this author, it's a bit urgent"
Editor: "Mr.Kim.This particular author has never shown up at our office...he is a reserved kind of person...responds only through mails and hates to attend any events...only our senior author knows this author and he never discloses his identity"
Kim:'Can I meet the senior author..our CEO is very keen to meet this author please understand"
Editor: "OK Mr.Kim I can take you to him"
Mr. Kim and the editor head towards the cabin of the senior author
Senior author Mr.Joon hyuk is a retired professor
Mr. Kim and the editor enters his cabin
Mr.Joon Hyuk looks at them
Kim and the editor greet him
kim introduces himself
Mr.joon asks them to take a seat
They explain the situation
Senior author: "I want that author to see the light of the day, get greater opportunities, and grow but given the stubborn attitude I don't think it's possible"
Kim: "Sir, please help me out, I'm sure my CEO has plans to provide great opportunities in our company"
Senior author: "I will share the address but make sure to respect privacy"
Kim: "Thank you, sir"
Kim reaches the address and to his astonishment, it's the convenience store of Sun Ri and the name of the author reads ALEX
Kim is startled and goes to meet Shin Min.
Shin Min: "oh! what brings you here at this hour"
Kim: "Does anyone else shares the name ALEX here apart from that chef"
Shin min: "No! he and his name are unique here" smiles..." but why are you asking me?"
Kim: "Nothing, I have some work..see you later bye"
Kim heads towards the restaurant...
Alex: "you idiots when will you learn to serve customers on time...he gets chicken soup for one of his customers and says
"Enjoy your meals sir"
Kim is unable to process the fact that a man whose life is dedicated to chicken ..can write an article on artificial intelligence??
Alex: "Hey Kim! you are here..alone...did you fight with her?
alright I will make you my special patch up chicken stick"
Kim gets hold of Alex's hand ,Alex is surprised
Kim asks"would you like to change your job, my CEO would like to hire you"
Alex: "what??me??"
Hestares for a while and says "My life is dedicated to Sun ri's place and nothing can buy me"
Sun ri listens to this conversation from behind at a distance
she gets back to her work
Joo won calls Kim...
Kim: "I have found the one and shall get the job done sir"
