1087 Clash of the Titans Ⅳ

On the farthest side of the platform almost at the edge, cold, blazing eyes flash behind a steely Death Eater mask. "Capricorn is running late," Rodolphus Lestrange thought before lazily dodging a spell and allowing himself to be wounded.

The spell struck Rodolphus Lestrange rather painfully, but it was all part of the plan. Evading the next spell, Rodolphus begins to stealthily retreat with each spell. He is pressed further and further back, before sending a spell forward only to miss the caster before him. However, Rodolphus Lestrange never intentionally missed. His spell had struck his intended target.

Beneath a pearly sheen Death Eater mask an eager witch with dragon pox scars on her skin who feels the lustful urge to embrace, the Dark Lord. Bonnenne struggles against the assault of emotions causing her to desist in attack and depart without further maiming and killing her victims. She abruptly turns and leaves to the shock of the students, who quickly scramble away and flee with the wounded levitated in tow.

Stray hexes, curses, jinxes, and spell flutter about Bonnenne as the battle continues. She passes undisturbed as the Death Eaters, and all give Lord Voldemort a wide berth. She finds the Dark Lord gazing deeply into the eyes of a young female student.

Feeling tinges of jealousy, Bonnenne approaches the Dark Lord. "My lord, forgive my trespass," she falters feeling there is something wrong, but unable to quite pinpoint what that is. The potion and lust curse in her blood intertwine heating her blood that much more.

Everything seems to become a blur as, without her knowledge, Bonnenne reaches to her side to pull out a curved sacrificial blade. She raises the blade high and takes a step forward toward the younger witch. She hears a pained cry and Bonnenne smiles in satisfaction, before being thrown violently back.

Bonnenne screams in agony as the Cruciatius curse strikes her. Her body is wracked with agonizing shock and violently shakes on the ground. She thankfully loses consciousness after being struck by a stray jinx.

Rowan returns to the present just in time to witness Voldemort having been attacked from behind by one of his Death Eaters. Rowan's mind feels sluggish and painfully aches from the violent attack of Voldemort. The ground sways sickly in her eyes as she unsteadily tries to regain her footing.

She should be grateful for Voldemort's arrogance. His conceit insured that he learned nothing of value as it never occurred to him to check other chambers in her mindscape that would be unlocked such as a classroom that held recent memories. However, at the moment she really couldn't find it in her to feel grateful. She felt rather sick, weak, and unsteady as though she was coming down with the stomach flu…

Unable to bid traitors, Voldemort without hesitation strikes down the traitor with the killing curse. Emerald sparks flash through the air and strike the traitor! The traitor goes still and does not move as Voldemort reaches down to remove the traitor's mask.

Voldemort's crimson serpent eyes flare in disbelief before filling with cold rage and hatred. Whirling about, his dark robes loudly flap around his skeletal-like figure. He raises his wand to attack Rowan Prince.

Trying to think through sludge, Rowan raises her wand as Voldemort fires a spell at her. "Expulso!" Rowan countered as a burst of blue sparks clash sending an explosive cloud of dust into the air.

"Fumos," is quickly cast in succession causing a defensive cloud of smoke to hinder all visibility in the area. Many students take the chance to flee, while the Death Eaters blindly curse and try to clear the area with a wind spell.

A gale of wind erupts clearing the smoky fog, but not before more than dozens of students successfully fled, while others regrouped to protect the wounded. Without any hesitation, Voldemort casts the deadly, Transmogrifian curse.

Having sensed Voldemort would fiercely attack, Rowan tucks and rolls in anticipation. Swaying unsteadily, she scrambles to her feet before casting Alarte Ascendare which tosses Voldemort high into the sky. She would not stand a fighting chance on land especially the way she is unsteadily swaying on her feet. She would be a sitting duck in a fight unless she managed to give Voldemort an equal handicap.

It takes Voldemort a few seconds to gain his bearings in the air. He would have hurtled back down except he is able (to fly naturally) and hovers in the air. He does not even have a chance to glide back to the ground when he is attacked mid-air.

"Ventus!" Rowan shouts as a jet of strong, spiraling wind from the tip of her wand sends Voldemort hurtling backward in the air in violent circles.

Voldemort robes flutter wildly around as he struggles to right himself, before casting a spell to stop himself. The instant he stops spinning, Voldemort returns fire with an arrow-shotting spell causing fire arrows to emerge from the caster's wand. The arrows dart toward Rowan, but with a flick of her wand, the arrows change direction landing on either side of Rowan deep into the ground.

Voldemort has only begun his quick descent when Rowan shouts, "Avis Oppugno!" A flock of birds with sharp beaks and talons emerge from the tip of her wand like a hail of bullets to attack. The birds' attack, peck, and claw at every bit of flesh (and clothing) they can reach.

Voldemort withholds an inner curse and blasts the birds to pieces. Yet his view had been cleverly blocked by the birds until a rope made of light wraps about him and he is yanked to the ground in the seize and pull charm. Before he can fully break the charm, he is slammed into the ground hard enough to crack a rib.

"Bombarda Maxima," Voldemort spat through his lips creating a large explosion powerful enough to destroy half of the entire train platform.

Flickering through the clouds of dust is a glowing shield charm, (Protego Maxima). The shield flickers before vanishing as the strength of the shield severely drained magic. Rowan does not move until she sees red sparks hurtle toward her.

Stumbling onto her knees thanks to her unsteady feet, Rowan points in Voldemort's direction, "Colloshoo," the stickfast hex. A child's hex, but one that stuck the target's shoes to the ground. It would do nicely in a pinch to slow down Voldemort.

Rowan squints through the cloud of dust, before readjusting her grip on her wand again. The Hogwarts staff should be here soon. That or the Aurors… Either way, she just needed to hold onto just until either party arrived.
