I like the setup at the start. The story Has excellent potential. I would suggest you look up the show not tell technique. It will help you become A better writer—overall great story.

Very interesting story. Using a female as a lead is not an easy thing. I really commend you on that. You should try to always give space to know the dialogue and narrator so as to differentiate between which and which it is. Your story will really make a great sell if it's contracted.
