Whispering Jianghu
74 coins = 14,800 words. Truly an outlier for chapter length on Web Novel! Although I have my gripes about how rushed the story was near the end, I am very satisfied that most, if not all, the major plot points have been addressed and the loose ends tied. The wedding was beautiful, the family has been reunited, all the wrongs were corrected, and of course, the imperial feast sounded delicious. I am also happy that so many familiar faces made an appearance in the end. Perhaps, I will go back and re-read this story from the beginning. Thanks for the awesome book, author and translator!
I have to say I'm a little bit sad that the story has ended but I'm also thankful to the author this story has seen me through some of the most distressing periods of my life it this book and my love of reading that help me true that time again thank you author for your creative mind and your time and your devotion to your writing
The story started well and ended with an okay wrap up but the last James Bond type story arc was disappointing. Amy's character became a shallow, little eating machine. Her system totally forgotten; might have been interesting if it gave her a task for the wedding. Expected story arc for Ugly Duckling had potential but didn't happen. Same with Babla and the Moon Nation. Most disappointing was the wuxia type ending where the MC becomes an OP god, it did not fit the vibe of the story. Also, he didn't become a god due to a system cheat but an author cheat. The ending seemed very rushed. The story would have been better if the author had left out the Great Old Ones and Underground City and Vicki could've been just a runaway rich young lady from Norland continent. Rather than add a slew of new characters with each story arc who then become side characters, plots and subplots driven by existing characters would have allowed more world building.
