while the ending is happy......why am I disappointed with the way it happened. That's just so not nicely done.
Apologies everyone, I was unable to add a translator's note in the final chapter because a word count bug. As you can see, there are very few words for the last chapter and that must have messed with the system or something.. Anyways, as I announced on twitter, this is actually the final chapter of ABSCAY. It seems as though the author wrote 2 non-chapters towards the end of the novel.. sigh.. 😒 That's it? Hello? We need an actual scene of them being a happy family with each other. The second couples story dragged on for too long, 🤔 was there more misunderstandings than our main couple. Thank you for your hardwork translator Paper plane. While I won't follow another novel by this author..😅 I'll be lurking around the present romance novels. Highly recommended read: My Youth Began With Him.
Dear Paperplane, thank you for your hard work. The quality of translation is really good. I wish you more successful projects! Now I just need to get this off my chest --- and it's intended for the author, actually; the ending on both couples stories were somehow... rushed, imho. The author created so many chapters where the guys daydream while smoking endless packs of cigarettes and the girls wondering, pondering, dwelling without realizing it's sunrise or sunset already. Between one blink to the next, from inhaling to exhaling, two paragraphs can go by. Or they have to bump to an unnamed charachter and fix their clothes or whatever, and then... epilogue? It's a sumptuous meal and I've just started my dessert and suddenly I was told that it’s closing time, so I have to stop eating and pay the bill 😢 -- why can't I enjoy the dessert and maybe a cup of coffee? 😥

I was sorta hoping there would be a chapter on solely Green bean and Hanhan. Like how they started dating and eventually end up getting married. I also hoped for a special chapter about Jiyi and Jichen. Overall very good story, I’d reread it but only for the “Ji couple”. Looking forward to your next translation project @Paperplane! Thanks for all your hard work!
