I think this is Hila trying to be close with Han Xiao and not just her being battle maniac. It's just that she is too embarrassed and shy to say it to . She feels jealous because Han Xiao spends time with Ames and wants HX to spend time with her. But since she can't make good reason, she asks for battle which HX mistakes as her being battle maniac. But in reality, Hila loves HX.
