Let’s say that his sister is cured and gets better. She is treated very well, is taken care of financially and lives a comfortable life. What happiness would his sister have knowing her brother is dead or locked up in jail for her sake? How would that make her feel better or be happy? In fact, she might actually wish she was dead knowing her brother was in that situation to provide for her. Not saying I wouldn’t do such a thing for my family if I was in his situation. Just that I simply wouldn’t use his words. “My life for their happiness” is not really their happiness

I love this story. The only thing I wish wouldn’t happen is the obvious taking advantage of this man. He is obviously desperate to give his sister a life of prosperity and to harm the one who ruined him. I’m really hoping he doesn’t end up in jail. I understand Chiu plans on killing her so that’s the only reason I condone this. Very amazing book.
