The thing about Alice many people seem to gleefully overlook is that she seems to actually really love Kalan since she decided to stay with him even if it means that she basically has no standing at all within the family and that her children will never be able to inherit. That doesn't say 'gold digger' at all. In the end all that happened is that she was an awkward 16 year old girl who fell out of love with one guy and in love with another and couldn't gather the courage to break up with Linley face to face. Which obviously was a messy thing but the vindictiveness and the hate I see in the comments (including wishes for her to get gangraped) are kind of astonishing. One could think she personally murdered his parents or something. It's just some regular teenage romance drama... nothing to get up in arms about.

Yeah Alice. Regret what and who you gave up.

This whole comment section is trying to defend Alice when she doesn't deserve it. Linley lost his sense of trust in humans during his training, Alice was the first person he actually trusted and liked when he got back from the mountains. Her betrayal destroyed all of that

I know i’m going to get flack for this but I feel sorry for the Debs clan. Some teenage angst has cost them almost everything. Linley would have been quite alright letting the whole go but Yale got angry and ruined the entire family’s future. I love Yale and the boiis but I’m a bit angry at him for that.

For some reason when I read the name Patterson the name Agnew also comes to mind.
