Wait.. He gave away all those heavenly treasures? They cant even use them but he could, or at least sell them. He still needs lots of essence in order to level up main body.

He didn't visit Autumn Leaf. Anyway, I'm guessing that by the time he gets back the clan will be quite formidable.

Ahh, its because in ISSTH the clan in charge of the Ninth Mountain (where the protagonist is born and most of the story is) is the Ji clan, who are 'known' for their karma-related martial arts.
