In my headcanon, Night Empress in the sanctuaries was made with the genes of Light Goddess and just developed the same abilities differently.
i sure hope this is not going to be the start of a new time skip but... I can't imagine Han Sen failing to do something to the god chaos party in 3 years under normal circumstances where he is able to stedely increase his power... I feel like this spirit situation was made in order to give time to the chaos party to break most the 33 skies without our man giving problems... I think that this is going to be similar to the time skip of the 3rd sanctuary were he was crippled for some time, obviously there's even the possibility that he actually manages to regain his body in less than ten chapters and decides to stay low for some time (maybe making a comeback similar to the other time skip of the 3rd sanctuary were he gives a suprise to everyone after coming out from the Dragon Ball-like cave time chamber)
