I think the biggest irony is if they prolonged the war just to increase war capabilities against an ancient foe scrubbed from tge annals of history. The only thing worth while in this chapter is the last exchange between Zhou and the shura... we now know where they get their materials for making the blood red shura serum... and their aim for prolonging the war for more profit. The rest are mostly unimportant exposition or rehash of things we know already... *sigh*
