A million! Fuck, one of the five xiangs partial grotto heaven is a million? These were at least peak rank 8s... I still find it weird how blood ancestor was a supreme rank 7 genius when there are rank 8 users of blood path like xue xiang here, and yet he remained as the greatest innovator of blood path. Too bad his journey ended at rank 7.. I wonder if fang yuan can annex xue xiang and if so how much blood dao will he get, since unless i misremembered xue xiang is a peak rank 8 blood immortal. Seeing more blood moves would be nice, as it was his og path after all... No loss in using it as a demon overlord hated by the world anyway.
In case anyone forgot Duke Long's primary path is Qi Path. Gaining this attainment will speed up FY's ability to deduce his moves with Wisdom Gu. His attainment is very likely on par with Long's now (I'm just assuming Long isn't a Supreme Grandmaster, but I could be wrong). FY knows about Triple Qi Redaction (the move that killed Purple in case I got it's name wrong) so maybe he could lay a trap for it.

But hmm the fact that FY could annex it means that it should still be a rank 8 grotto-heaven and not rank 9...does that mean it's impossible for a grotto-heaven of a dead person to elevate itself to rank-9? And wonder how many tribulations FY would skip with this....you'd think he's nearing venerable level but perhaps there really are other requirements to become venerable than merely passing three myriad tribulations.
I went back and checked. A gu immortal with no special encounters and average tribulations would have roughly 300,000 dao marks after passing their 3 myriad tribulations and advancing to rank 9 (obviously all of actual the venerables had much more than this). Obviously there’s more involved, but that’s the minimum standard to be considered a peak rank 8 existence. Fang Yuan just got a million dao marks, he still got Xia Cha’s Dao marks and he’s about to get the beast grotto-heaven. That plus Ba Shi Ba’s grotto heaven probably works out to just under 1.5 million dao marks. I wonder if this will be enough for him to go against Duke Long (before he uses that last overpowered suicidal killer move)?
